Touring plan if both parks have early entry?

We will be at Universal 12/26-29 staying at RPR. On the Universal website, it says both parks open at 8am the entire time we will be there. Please help with my touring plan! I had assumed I could start at one park with early entry in the HP area and then switch to the other park when it opened. Now I am not sure what to do. Any advice? Or, would early entry be 7am since I am staying at RPR?

Also, do I need to make any reservations for that week for meals? I know the typical advice is that it should be okay, but I'm not sure since it will be such a busy week.

In addition, I was thinking with the high crowd level it would be best if we go at rope drop, return to the hotel during the middle of the day, and then go to the parks later in the evening. Is that a good plan? Any suggestions regarding best times to be in the park? The parks are open 8am - 11pm the entire time I'm there.

TIA!

I would make some reservations for the time you're there........especially if there's anywhere you really want to eat on your trip.

You have EP so even with crowds you have an advantage.........yes, if regular hours show park opens at eight am, you will get in at seven.

Parks particularly Potter areas are stunning at night, definitely go back and do the parks at night if out have a break, it's always a good idea.

Check out the website www.universalorlando.com

They have maps of the park layout and you can make a route from there, you really don't need a touring plan as such........again, you have EP so there's no need to rush to do rides like Despicable Me that always have horrendous regular queues.......you'll be fine.........

The crowds in the morning slowly build. If you are already in a park for 7am EE, then you can get a ton done by staying in that park. We were able to do FJ and Dragon Challenge during EE, then over to Kong for normal rope drop. Then get down to Hulk and Spiderman before crowds became an issue.

We love going back to RPR for a break from about noon to 3pm.

We're there at almost the same time as OP, staying at PBH club level. I'm not super worried about touring; we'll rope drop, leave late morning for an extended break, and return in the evening. But. . . there are a couple restaurants we really want to visit.

I would make some reservations for the time you're there........especially if there's anywhere you really want to eat on your trip.

So how do I make reservations? For example, Mythos - the link on the UOR website won't let me go beyond the next 10 days or so. Am I doing something wrong?
