Touring Plan for DHS - advice?

Okay, so we are a larger group of 9 people Dg'ma, D'gpa, DAunt, DH, myself, and DD 11, DS9, DS 6, and DD 3. We know that we'd like to split up so that everyone can see/do what they want to do most . . . so here's my plan:

Arrive close to 9
group 1 rides RnR and ToT
group 2 gets fp for TSM and rides it, then heads to Mickey's Playhouse Live

group 1 heads to Star Tours
group 2 watches Muppets 3d

We meet up for Indiana Jones show
lunch

LIghts, Motor, Action Show
Animation Tour

So, the question is . . . will it work?

Another theory is to FP Tot and Rnr (we have enough tickets to FP those at the same time since only 4 want to ride both), then we all ride TSM & perhaps get to FP it later in the day.

Yep, your timeline ought to work.

The first Indiana Jones show is likely to be at 11:30, and then the first Lights, Motor Action show at 1:20 -- there ought to be time for lunch between the two shows.

The first Playhouse Disney show is usually at 9:40, and I think you are most likely to make it if Group 2 rides TSM first, then gets FPs for it (FP return time shouldn't be too late). If they grab FPs first, they may get stuck in lines at the Fast Pass machines for 10 minutes or so, and the Standby Line will now be longer than it would have been if they had ridden first.

I don't think your alternative plan is nearly as good. It will take longer to get to ToT and RnR to get the Fast Passes for them than will be desirable. By the time the runner joins up with everybody else at TSM, the Standby Line could be pretty long.

If everyone wants to ride TSM twice, your original plan should allow you to get a second round of TSM Fast Passes by about 10:30 or so (which would actually give Group 2 a total of 3 TSM rides).
