Too much seafood?

I haven't made my reservations yet, but so far this is the list I've put together:

Cal Grill
Flying Fish
Kouzzina (not sure - this seems family style and I'm a solo diner)
San Angel (not sure which one; I keep getting confused between the Inn, the Hacienda and the Cantina. Was it the Inn that was redone)
Blue Zoo
Jiko
Citricos

I love seafood, but I generally try to mix up my restaurants so that I'm not too top heavy in one area. Flying Fish and Blue Zoo are musts. Citricos also sounds great, but I'm wondering if I've not got enough variety on this list. I plan on doing a lot more research, but what do you all think? I like almost anything - I love ethnic food, steak, French, Italian. That said, being from NY, I don't think I'd go out of my way to eat Italian or Steak. I'm open to anything.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Is there such a thing as too much seafood?

Anyway, those are all among my favorite restaurants on property. I wouldn't nix any of them, if I were you. They may all have a similar overall selection, but their execution in the use of those ingredients are all different. I don't think you'll get bored of the variety.

Also, Kouzzina is not family style. You'll be fine as a solo diner.

You can never have enough seafood!

I would def order it at FF and Bluezoo but at Citricos you have to get the short ribs, they are insane!

I'm not much of a meat eater and prefer not to order chicken when I'm dining out so I primarily eat fish/seafood while at WDW. There's never too much.

I do sugget you eat at bluezoo late in your trip because after that, everything else will be disappointing.

Personally, I'd switch out the Mexican choices for Sanaa which is Indian inspired.

We absolutely loved California Grill and Kouzzina! We've not tried the others (yet!). I do think you need to keep Kouzzina on the list - it's not served family style, so a solo diner would be great! The food was amazing when we ate there last year!

No such thing as too much seafood. We loved the service at Citricos and would go back in a heart beat.

LOL No, probably not - as much as I love meat, I do love seafood (and it's healthy, too, so no guilt feelings there.

Thanks for the tip - I love Greek food and I would have hated to miss Kouzzina.

Yumm, lol. I can't remember when I last had short ribs..........I'm glad to see Citricos getting some good reviews. I haven't specifically searched for that restaurant yet, but just the posts I've seen were rather lukewarm.

I have to ask you all: what time do you normally make dinner reservations? I'm thinking that on MK days, I'll go back to my hotel to change, so maybe I'll have dinner around 7. On at least one day in Epcot, since I'm going to eat there, I'll probably have an earlier dinner. It's been so long since I've been to WDW that I can not remember if I just stayed in the parks and ate in my sweaty clothes (I think I did). Normally on vacation, I eat at 7:30 or 8, but I imagine I'd want to make evenings early evenings due to the need to rest up for the next day.

I have BlueZoo on my 3rd to last night, but maybe I'll switch that with Citrico.

Wow, Sanaa sounds so interesting..........I LOVE Indian food.

Ok, I'm going to keep Kouzzina - it just sounds too good to pass up. I loved Cal Grill when I went years ago - I'm going to make that reservation for my arrival day so I don't have to leave the hotel.

Itradehilton, looking forward to Citricos - glad you enjoyed it!

Hi there,

Both Jiko & Cali Grill have great meat (although def have sushi for an app at CF). As for your personal preferences, Les Chefs de France and Tutto Italia both in EPCOT World Showcase are highly recommended. If you're really looking for one meat night though - you can't go wrong at Le Cellier.

Hi Serendipity!

I get so much Italian at home that I generally avoid that on vacations - though lunch is another matter (I wouldn't go Italian for dinner). I know Le Cellier gets great reviews, but although steak is my favorite meal, I never go for it on vacations - again, there are a lot of steak places where I live. I wouldn't mind trying them at all - it's just that when you have a limited amount of time, you have to prioritize.

I think I'm going to go to San Angel Inn for Lunch at Epcot and have dinner one night at Sanaa .......I really like the idea of trying foods I can't get at hom.

Oh and Le Bistro sounds delish as well, but if only I had more than 6 full days, lol

Whew, I finally made my reservations..............I was not able to get anything at the California Grill on my arrival day, so I decided to go to Citricos then so I could stay on the monorail line.

So, final list:

5/21: Citricos 6:30
5/22: Sanaa 6:55
5/23: Flying Fish 7:15

5/24: Kouzzina 6:55
5/25: San Angel Inn (lunch) 12:30
Jiko 7:30

5/26: Bistro de Paris 6:15

5/27: Blue Zoo 7:30

Am I dining too late? The guy I spoke to said that most people eat around 6:15- 7pm......

Thank you for all of your help!

def. not dining too late! You may not want to drag yourself out of the park much sooner! Your line up sounds great....I am going for the first time without kids in this year and will finally be able to try some of the more exotic choices in the world. I can't wait to read your reviews.

never to much seafood and I have to say your choices are some of the best I've scene

Thanks - that makes me feel better. I really can't think of eating at 6:15 or thereabouts -well, I had no choice for Bistro de Paris, but that's just one night. I love to eat and so no matter where I am, whether it's Paris in Disney World or the real thing, I do put a lot of thought into it. I've gotten some fantastic tips from this board.

Where have you made your reservations?

Thanks! However, now I have a problem as my confirmation #s are not showing up on the website......this is very frustrating. I don't want to have to keep calling WDW to be sure my ADRs are good. The website is beyond user-unfriendly.......unless my reservations are not showing up because I did them all by phone? When I put in the confirmation # and my phone #, I keep getting this message:

The phone number and resort confirmation number do not match. Please try again

What is the resort confirmation #?

Your dining itinerary sounds wonderful! 6-730 is a great time to grab dinner! You'll have to let me know what you thought about Kouzzina! :thumbsup2

I will definitely do that (I swear, I promise I won't be lazy about posting reviews; I tend to do that, but not this time).

I thought maybe I was going to be dining in empty rooms, so I'm glad that my reservations are "ok" time-wise
