While i understand that this can sometimes be humorous.....

My honest reaction to this is "Oh whatever.... who cares? live and let live..."

Edit to add, Honestly.... I would be PO'd if someone was ATTEMPTING to take pictures of my child with the mean intent to post them online and make fun of them.... Its really horrible. IMO.

Considering I have no idea why these children are in strollers, who am I to judge?

People finding it funny are making judgements even if they don't care to admit they are.

Once I saw an adult woman napping in one of the Disney double strollers, now that was funny!

A simple and hilarious new blog dedicated to photos of people who put big kids in little kids strollers.
And guess where these photos are often taken?
Smile for the camera!

some of those are ridiculous!

some of them are kind of fradulent....i.e. the large kids aren't actually being pushed around all day...they just crash in there for a minute as a level place to sit while the baby is off getting a bottle or something.

I find it pretty amusing, but also disturbing sometimes. I mean I hated walking when I was a kid, hated hated hated it, but there was no way anyone would have pushed me around in a stroller. I can't tell if these kids are lucky or just in for a huge shock when they get older.

Sorry denise, I not sure I agree

they could be finding a sense of "kinship". I laugh at people of walmart because I can remember oh so many times when I've walked out of my house looking like an escapee out of a Dr Suess book. I could have easily ended up on that site and many times could have nominated myself for "what not to wear".

Same with the kids, I laugh because I remember oh to well a time or two when I've done some incredible stupid and hilarious things with my small kids for the sake of convenience. not dangerous but when you've got 2 hands and 3 little ones, I've improvised in ways that would have qualified for America's funniest home video.

So I'm laughing and not judging, I'm laughing because I remember when...

I think it is very inappropriate for someone to take pictures of someone elses children to put them up on a website and ridicule them. While some of those kids are very big, no one knows why they are riding in a stroller.

My ds is 4 and we got rid of his stroller some time ago. However, I just bought a brand new volo stroller for Disney. He is about 38/39 lbs and is almost 42 inches tall. However, he has a blood disorder and gets tired more easily than other kids. He will continue to have this problem and if someone where to take a picture of him in the future to make fun of him, I would stick the camera where the sun doesn't shine.

Sorry - I am not normally one to be negative here but this rubs me the wrong way. These kids may have disabilities.

When I see bigger kids in strollers, especially rented ones, I think that particular family has a good strategy.

Call it lazy, but they'll still be going strong while another family with similar sized kids will be cranky, calling it a day, leaving, etc.

Disney is a big place and for every step I (at 6'4") take, my kids are taking 2 or 3 steps. And they tend to be less linear, meaning that they wander a bit. So I'll rent the stroller for my 10 and 6 year old to sit in when we need to get somewhere and they've already taken thousands of steps more than me that day. It doesn't cost me much more energy to push the stroller. Most of the time they're not in it and we use it for 'stuff'.

Before each trip, we train by walking though we're not out of shape. With the stroller, we've been able to knock out 16 hour days in MK, something you really can't train for. Frankly, I don't care how we get there, so long as we're happy for 16 hours. Others can look, take pictures, pass judgement, whatever. Bottom line is we're having a better time overall. And we'll go get on another ride as others drag their wailing kids out of the park.

There's that too. My 10dd has type 1 diabetes. It doesn't impact her 99% of the time, but when/if she crashes, she often can't walk. And extreme environments (like Disney) tend to increase the odds of this.

I've been pushing the stroller when she's been lying in it with her eyes rolled back in her head as we go to get a soda or some other quick sugar/carb source. Take a picture, make a face, say something. I don't have time to care.

But don't purposely get in the way.

And yet another thread that turns into a DISboards slanging match.......

Use the muscles at the side of your mouth a little bit more, exercise them if you like, tone your cheeks as much as you can.....its just a smile!! ;)

But this is another example of a title of a thread that is not misleading....if you read the title 'Too big for stroller......' and you knew it would offend you, maybe it would have been better to simply skip it and move onto the next.....:confused3

My 8yr old son has a form of muscular dystrophy where he can tired out and need to sit at any second. Since he is small enough for a stroller still, we don't feel the need to purchase a wheelchair for him. However, while he is small, he's bigger than some of the kids ridiculed on this site. So of course, the first thing I did was check and make sure his picture wasn't on there.

Anyways, yes, some were funny. But some of those kids were big kids but still babies! I think that's what bothered me most!

I know you arent aiming this post at me, however I would like to comment that My "offense" in this website is not that he is finding something funny about bigger kids in strollers, I dont find it funny but i dont care either way...

What bothers me is this:

This person is taking pictures of CHILDREN with the INTENT to post them online and ridicule them, and in that I find it disgusting. :headache:

I can't find that website funny because the premise is to laugh at children. Some of those kids may have disabilities. At WDW, if people want to push their non-disabled larger child around in a stroller, so be it. It's not me pushing them around.

People Of Walmart does not post pics of children, as far as I know. I could laugh at myself getting caught in PJs at the drugstore, but not at a child who may or may not have disabilities.

I guarantee that if I caught anyone taking pictures of my children without my permission - especially for the sole purpose of posting them online - would have some achy facial muscles themselves...

Sites such as that are a hot mess. Just another person judging someone else, so if it's good enough for them to do, it's good enough for me. Why can't I judge someone who I think is a hateful, useless cow that has too much time on their hands?

People wonder why others are so hateful. This is another case of internet bullying in its own way - now you are involving kids.

If no one stands against what is wrong, then people will continue to think it's okay to make fun of others when you can't begin to know what is going on in their life.
