Vero beach struggling?

She not only restricted her LinkedIn, she changed her last name to F on her profile. No one at the Disney company has done that.

I don’t know her so I’m not going to be defending or attacking her. But how are you 100% sure no one else is doing that? High profile people don’t need to do it because their profiles are handled differently and don’t require doing these things like regular peasants like me

Does it matter if she did it or some assistant did it? She approved it regardless. I’m not attacking her personally. I’m just pointing out that people won’t be able to view her profile publicly and that they might not even be able to find it because she has reduced her last name to F.

What I am critiquing is her performance as Vero GM however.

I’m saying she’s not high profile enough to have the resources to be able to leave her profile open like Bob Iger. In my company the CEO has an open and public profile. I don’t have that luxury without receiving 100+ requests per month. That’s why some people have to do some “tricks” to their profile. And there’s no way to know for sure if she’s the only person in the thousands that work for Disney that it’s doing the same.

I used to work for a company that encouraged us to do the same; to mask who we worked for at least while we worked there. Obviously they couldn't enforce it but it was just one of those things.

Updating this thread. There is a new GM at VB - Cosmo Kapoor. I wrote a full trip report for our 4-night stay, and we really had a great time. Interesting reading back through this thread after our trip. We only did Wind and Waves to go from the bar and did not visit the Green Cabin Room or the Spa, so I can't speak to any of those things. I thought the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday was peak Disney magic for our family.

Green Cabin Room is going through refurbishment starting in a few weeks... I am optimistic they will maintain the charm but also meaningfully update the space as it relates to televisions, climate control, and furniture...

Wouldn't complain if they got that fireplace to actually work either!

Cosmo Kapoor was the GM at Grand Floridian not that long ago. Interesting transition!

Cosmo was just the gm for akv, is he not the gm there anymore either?? I just met him in December! Either way Im glad they have him at vb i think he is more needed there, really nice guy!

GCR appeared closed this morning.... at least around 9:30... Maybe they are already starting the renovation?
