Well, I suspected the day was coming, but still it's sad. I really enjoyed Timekeeper. DD8 is too young to remember it, but she's a history buff and would have loved it.
As much as I'd like to see Timekeeper stay, there's not much point in having a ride if you aren't ever going to have the ride open. Let's hope they replace it with something they actually let people see every now and then.
We loved this attraction when it first opened. Our kids got an opportunity to see it one time and loved it! In fact, they still talk about it as well as the Carousel of Progress.
Carousel of Progress was open when I was there in early FEB 2006. I think there have been rumors floating for a while about possibly closing it down, though...
This has only been open once in the past 3 visits - we were all set to go in when the son of the family we were with freaked and said he didn't want to go. We left and said we'd go back another time but it has never been open since.
DD and I need to catch that before it closes. We have yet to see it in the 2 1/2 years that we have lived here, and too many visits to MK to count! Maybe it will be open on Saturday - we are going to O'Hana's for my birthday breakfast!
Since they have had characters in there recently for pictures, I will guess that this may be the norm for a while. It is a large enough area that they can get several characters in there and still have lots of room for people. It can help on the congestion elsewhere in Tomorrowland.
