There was nowhere to enter a coupon when I purchased tickets. They sent me an email coupon & there is one for downloading their app. They both say for hotel booking.
I booked the tickets and hotel separately on my own.
For 5-day park only tickets I compared Parksavers, ARES and Get AWay Today.
GetAway was most expensive while Parksavers & ARES was the same (don't forget the $2 convenience fee).
But I got a coupon for parkSavers from DLR prep school and that saves couple of bucks more. So parksavers was cheapest with the coupon.
I did not try LMT club as I am not a club member nor travel to DLR often (need to save $ at least 3 year).
For hotel, i went via Expedia. The Hampton was like $108 (inclu tax), and had breakfast (was ok only).
They gave me the top floor (7th floor) facing DL.
I went down to check that I was not charged the high floor DL fireworks facing fee, and was confirmed not.
You do get some good deals on Expedia.
Hello! Where is the best placeTicke to purchase hotel and tickets. The family will go to Disneyland in June. Should I use Disney's site, AAA, Costco, or somewhere else??? Thanks!
We have had good luck with booking our hotel rooms directly with the hotel itself. I usually book it through the hotel's website or by calling them. It allows us more flexibility in case we have to change our dates.
On the flip side, one benefit of booking through the Disneyland website is that you can make payments toward your trip. However, you have to be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. Using Dreams Unlimited Travel is another good option and I've heard that their DL experts are very knowledgeable about the local hotels & various options for a DL trip.
Costco travel packages will often have an additional perk thrown in, but it varies, so do your own research on that.
My hairdresser swears by Getawaytoday.com. They have a layaway plan where you can make regular payments toward your trip. Just like the DL website, though, you have to be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival.
Tickets:
I've purchased tickets from aRes before. After our experience, I am not a fan of the company, but a lot of people have had good experiences. What is not obvious or really stated anywhere on their website when you purchase DL tickets is that if you have to change your travel dates more than a few days in either direction of your original arrival date, you have to purchase new tickets. So they will refund your money and then you have to purchase new tickets with the new dates. But here's the catch, if there's a price difference (i.e., the new ticket price is more expensive), then you have to pay the more expensive ticket price. And there are no refunds. Your tickets are ONLY good for those specific dates. As long as you're aware of all of that, go for it because their prices are pretty good.
AAA - we live in Arizona and the AZ AAA offices offer ticket discounts. For example, our local AAA office is advertising 3-day adult park hopper price of $279, compared to DL price of $295, so it's a $16 savings per ticket. But that's only if you buy the tickets in person at the AAA office. AAA's online "discount" price for DL tickets is really no difference in price from Disneyland's website.
I've also bought tickets from Disneyland's website. And from the Disneyland app on my smart phone. Both were convenient and I'd use either of these methods again.
If you want to buy your tickets from LMT Club, make sure you look for a membership code online. Usually one is out there somewhere. When I "joined," you didn't need a code.
