FYI, I checked UnderCoverTourist.com today.

"Yearly Price Increase!
If you are planning on buying tickets this year, we recommend you do it this month."

Are they also expecting a price increase on August 1?;)

We're going in October so I am buying our tickets tomorrow!

There is no advance notice.

It could happen today.
Next week.
Next month.
Next year.

If you want to avoid any possible price hikes, buy now.

Also know that Disney MIGHT change the STRUCTURE of the tickets (like they did last year) and the ticket you buy now might have different "assets" than the new ones.

You just don't KNOW.

I know that A LOT of people are waiting for 2009 rates to be released next month. They might be expecting a ticket price hike with the release of the 09 rates.

Of course, this is all pure speculation

Would a "structure" change, affect annual passes? I am planning on renewing my annual pass and buying my daughter an ap.

The drum beat is getting louder on my end as well.. I posted yesterday that I fully expect an announcement on Friday, August 1st for the ticket restructuring/price increase.

Of course, could be wrong.. but I don't think so this time around.

While on face value, it seems unlikely that the entitlements for annual passes could change.. in reality -- they could. Nobody knows exactly what the choices will be until they are out there... and of course, it could always end up exactly like last year, just more $$$.

Stay tuned.

I'm planning on buying my APs within the next week just in case. :thumbsup2 Thanks for the update!

We are going in October and I bought my tickets two weeks ago as I am remembering last years price increase.

Can you explain what that means?

If I already have a deposit down on a MYW package for Dec., will this change my package price?

Changing the structure of the Magic Your Way tickets. For example the WPAM option, they have changed the amount of plus options you get on the tickets. When the tickets first came out you got say 7 plus options on a 10 day ticket, then the ticket structure was changed to 10 plus options on a 10 day ticket. So if you bought your ticket in July you got 7 options and if you bought in September you got 10.

Then of course there was the gigantic change from the old park hoppers to MYW tickets. So if you bought your 7 day park hopper plus tickets in June, you got 7 park days, hopping, non expiring, and water park admissions for $$ if you bought MYW ticks with the same options in November you would have paid $$$. But Disney somehow made some magic and the populace embraced the MYW hoodwinking.

Any Tickets, Packages,Passes Purchased BEFORE the date the Price Increase goes in to effect .. Will most likley not be Affected

I wonder if anyone at WDW has realized that the more they increase the price of admission the less often people can afford a vacation to WDW. If they kept the ticket prices the same, people will come, and then they will spend any amount of money on food and souveniers, but if people can't afford to get through the gate there goes all that profit from frivolous spending!

Admission media doesn't keep people from booking trips, ticket price is the cheapest component of a Disney trip. Meals and lodging cost more. Transportation costs and the rise in cost of staying on Disney property is what is prohibitive.

Actually, the tickets ARE the most expensive part of my upcoming vacation! Airfare was almost free, but still way less than 3 tix @ almost $300./each, Pop room plus DDP still less than 3 tix. Only way tix are less expensive is if you go fewest days possible, no hopping, expires (not even talking about WPAM component) - or if you have old old tix to reuse.

And we are saving more tix $ by going to Busch during the same trip, plus contemplating another "Ersal" stop also. Fewer Disney days, waaay less $$. Busch tix are $55. right now, and the 2nd day is free. Disney is $70+ for just 1 day. "Ersal" (aka Univ) is $90. for the week. Disney is slowly pricing itself out of my budget just by the tix prices!

I wasn't thinking value season at values.

I was thinking of moderates and deluxes, or values in summer season. Even so, I find that Disney's resort prices have risen more than ticket prices, and transportation costs have increased exponentially for most people.
