Just got back last Saturday and I'm really missing my Beach Club Villa!
The movie schedule is not dated-it's just by day so I'm assuming it's the same every week.
Sunday-Pirates of the Caribbean:The Curse of the Black Pearl
Monday-The Emperor's New Groove
Tuesday-The Little Mermaid
Wednesday-The Incredibles
Thursday-Finding Nemo
Friday-Cars
Saturday-Lilo and Stitch
popcorn::

We stopped for a little while every night we were there to sit on the lounge chairs with our refillable mugs an enjoy the night air. I've seen some of these movies a million times and others I haven't seen in years, but either way it was a treat to see it on the beach with all of the lights from the Boardwalk.
Have a great trip!

THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!! I'm so excited!!!:dance3:

Sounds great. We are also AKL refugees. Quick question...Did you use ME? just wondering what the drop off sequence was? which resorts did you stop at? Thanks:goodvibes

Hi,

We used ME last April to BC. The bus first made a stop at CB and then BC. I think it would have stopped at YC prior to BC if there had been anyone on our bus staying there.

We followed a smiliar route in February - CB first and then we were headed to the BC but there was already a bus there. Since only one can be at the ME stop at a time ours headed to the YC and then back to the BC. We also took about an hour to arrive at our resort and we really enjoyed the ME experience.

How were the crowds?? How about around the pool?? Im VERY nervous since the hotel is booked solid!!!!! YIKES!!!! We arrive on Monday

This was the 3rd time we visited in June/July in the past 4 years and I have to say that this was the least crowded. I believe that the BC was full while we were there as we arrived in Orlando a day early and tried to get a room (at BC) for the night before check in and they didn't have anything. What is funny is that you could walk down several hallways in the hotel and never see anyone. Check in was a breeze, 10 minutes tops. Checking in on a Monday bypasses everyone else. Most people arrived or departed on Sat/Sun. I think the longest we waited for a bus was 15 minutes and that was from DD to BC but I think that happens frequently with DD. We were often the only ones at bus stop at the BC. Most of the time the buses went to YC and BC then on to destination. In seven days we (5 of us) never stood on a bus or boat. We weren't rude, the buses were rarely full.

The pool always had a steady flow of people but was far from crowded. There was always a chair to be had wherever you needed.

The parks were crowded but the longest we waited for a ride was about 40 minutes. We waited for 30 minutes to ride Expedition Everest at around noon. I thought that was pretty good for this time of the year. The food lines seemed to move faster than in the past but that could be just my imagination. Sometimes I do WDW with blinders on.

We truly had a very magical vacation as I'm sure you will have too.

does anyone know how old thee age limit is on the gym/ health club? also can you rent a little mouse boat and get a wrist band for the entire stay? if you could let me know that would be great.

:yay:

We were there from 6/13-6/23 and too found no one in the hallways. How interesting for a full hotel! The busses, however, were mostly full and we stood most times. I loved the way the BC controlled the number of people via the arm bands. The pool was never crowded;however, we always had to wait for a table. The parks were jammed everyday. MK was so bad that we left after one ride. (When Pirates was a 90 min. wait we were out of there!).

I guess it really depends on what park the crowds are hitting on which days (there seems to be a "popular" park for some reason), and what time you hit the pools. We still had a fabulous time and would do it again in a second!!!!!!! anytime you go... it's DISNEY!!!WOO-HOO!!!!!

:confused3 What time do they do the movie nights?

We have stayed exclusively at the YC/BC since 1994 and can you believe I knew NOTHING about movie nights??? Where are they held???? What time??? Do tell!!! :) :) :goodvibes :goodvibes Is it only for the Villa guests or is it for the resort in general??? We'll be @ the YC in 41 days!

Hi folks....I am seriously considering changing to YC....SAB is just so hard to resist:) Have visited the property so I know it is beautiful...BC area..however I have read that YC has more full balconies.
Dh is shaking his head as I type...lol...just looking for some input.
Being from the midwest, and spending most of the summer in a mini "Wilderness" like setting...the YC/BC are is so much more appealing to me.

Thanks for any comments!

Definately go for the Yacht Club if you want a balcony. A balcony was the one and only request on our ressie at the BC, and we didn't get one. However, when I looked at the resort closely from outside, I could see why. They just don't have many!

So why I am still entertaining my "change"...to YC....
questions for the YC fans....what would be a good request be if I book standard? I read that a water view can give you a view of anything wet...inc a birdbath! lol
Also, what are SAB hours? I really have tried looking this up here....I also have learned that there are many differant "bed" configurations..is that just true over at BC?

Thanks ..appreciate any feedback:)

We just got switched to BC today from AKL. My DS and DH are quick service breakfast nuts. My DS loves the Mickey waffles and bacon from the ASM food court. DH loves them with the strawberry toppng. One of the reasons I picked AKL was for the food court. Is there any QS at BC like this? :confused3 I don't want to do character breakfast or room service for breakfast everyday.

There is a counter service type place now at the Beachclub market place.
Not sure if they have waffles or not But you can go to yacht club galley it is not a character breakfest and you can either have ala cart or a buffet.
You will love the Yacht!!!

I had a standard view...4134..it faced a wooded area on the southside of the Lobby. I think anyroom that is on the south side of the YC lobby is a good one. The northside can get you a view of the roof of the convention center

SAB hours are 9ish to 8pm during the summer...It may be different in the winter

I am unsure of the bed configurations...

Thanks for the help:)
With those new codes, I got a great deal....WL will still be there and will most likely have cheaper rates than YC/BC.
Will miss the flat screen TV at WL.....who am I kidding..who has time to watch TV?!!
Now, what do I do with those WL refillable mugs in my gift basket??!!

Same thing for us! Moved from AKL to BC. Apparently, CS is the major shortcoming of the entire Boardwalk area from my own inquires. There is nothing like Mara around. Spoodles seems to have a reasonably priced breakfast and you might be able to share the entrees, but it counts as a TS if you are using the DDP. There are some breakfast offerings at Beach Marketplace, but no waffles, more like grab and go hot egg based sandwiches. It really is disappointing:confused: because I like to eat a hot quick breakfast occassionally on our trips, too, and this appears to be a problem.:sad2:

Picabu grill in the Dolphin if I remember correctly had hot breakfast food if that helps. I know they have waffles anyway ... or did.
