They Don't Eat Hash Browns in Princessland - May 14 COMPLETE! 2/8 pg. 73

I can't wait to go during food and wine! :cool1: What's even better is that we are taking my mom, who has never been to Disney, so I can't wait to see her reaction to it all! Your room looks beautiful....we stayed at Riverside for the first part of our trip and then went to Saratoga Springs. It was very handy to have the bags delivered ::yes::

That's horrible news about your toe! I'm sure that was very painful. I understand about the need to get out and run. I am not quite to that point yet but I have started to work my way up to running. I've lost about 60 pounds and while it's still an ongoing battle, I have always wanted to be able to run! I'll work my way up to a Disney marathon yet :cheer2:

I love your coin purse!!! As you know, I seem to collect HM merchandise and have my own HM coin purse, but yours has the adorable snap close!!! So lucky!!

I totally understand your pain. 1. I have broken that exact same toe, but for me it was running into a door. I think it is our long appendages. It is just hard to keep track of where they are going. 2. I am a runner also, but I really suck. It takes me forever to to work up to a decent 5k pace. If I am sick for a while, it does seem like starting over. It will feel so good though when you are given the green light to train again!! :cheer2:

Oh my those PP pics are just so fun! I love your coin purse. I have now liked her on FB and have my eye on one!

Oh my gosh! What great PP photos of you, our parents and MEK and Cynthia! I think all of us DISers want to meet you and your family! That's so awesome.

AND... then another fab DISmeet with Alicia and Landon!! (random note but I love both of your tees that day - the Wookie and the American Adventure.)

Ouch! So sorry about your toe and not being able to run for 6 weeks. :sad2: You get some serious sympathy points from me. Hopefully this few weeks will be a minor blip in your training schedule and you'll be back on track! :)

Sorry I haven't commented in a while, but we're at WDW now and my family is pretty much hogging the laptop! Anyway, I'm going to make a bunch of comments on your updates, here goes:
-we flew out of Milwaukee this time, too. Love that airport, and the TSA guys are actually nice (they sent us through the Pre-check line, so much easier!)!
-we never pay for EBCI, I got A30 this time with regular check-in. I do understand why people do it, because the whole SW check-in process to me is stressful
-you had a long travel day!! I always bring a bunch of food on the plane, I don't trust them not to delay us and my kids would be whining if we didn't have food (and I hate it when they whine!)
-Port Orleans is the very first resort DH and I stayed in, on our first trip to WDW back in 1995 (I never was able to go as a kid, poor me). The Royal Room is lovely! All the little details are SO cool!!
-If you love BWV, you should try BCV. BWV is our home resort, but lately we've been staying more at BCV, actually where we are right now in a 1-BR.
-Love your Frozen makeup, very pretty!
-Sunburn - we're all fair too, and it happens every trip to at least one of us (this time it was DS when we were at Vero last week)
-The pink slushie looks yummy! I love the Grand Marnier one, but it could use a lot more GM!
-Sorry about your toe! Maybe it will heal faster than you think!!

I am on a mission to get caught up!

But, to do it right I think I'm just going to respond to each update separately otherwise I'll forget stuff.

However before all that, I am SOOOOOOOO excited you are doing princess. We must hook up. Are you going solo? What are your plans? I am sure you have deets somewhere I am just impatient (well since I just decided this a week or so ago lol). Love the post run pedi idea, I absolutely LOVED my treatment at senses...but more on that in my reply below

This is me...a lot. I get yelled at all of the time for looking at my phone too much. What did we do before we had these phones!?

I am SO in love with this room. I want to stay there one night too!

So I start to get ready to head into the bathroom, and I realize something important. I forgot my dark hand towel. I made a fatal mistake.

See, I have nice, red hair. And nice red hair....it comes with a price. Here's the price that it comes with.

Red fades like crazy. Every time I wash my hair (which is pretty rarely, due to the color), I have to boost the color. Otherwise, red red red down the drain. So, I have a temporary hair dye from Manic Panic that I mix with conditioner every time I wash my hair. Still though, this adds to the fact that every time I get in the shower, you still see red down the drain when I get my hair wet.

Ugh, that is seriously high maintenance. I thought I was bad, I have to color every 2 weeks and it's a nightmare (this is what happens when you are literally, 100% grey) but I never thought about a daily ish boost. Which I can see making a huge difference in the vibrance (though wouldn't help my roots issues). It is a pretty red. Worth it!

My makeup look for the day was based on Elsa's makeup in Frozen. Note to everyone. I didn't do looks every day, because when the weather got insanely hot at the end of the week, it just melted off my face. LOL.

This is what I posted on Instagram.

I love that you have so much fun with it

We drove to Riverside Mill at 9am and headed in for breakfast. I'm telling you, I am not used to eating at that time of day. We are normally earlier than that, and the place was PACKED. Prime breakfast time. I had wanted the breakfast flatbread, but the line didn't move for like 10 minutes. So I ended up bailing and getting kids french toast instead. Call me impatient.

Both Mom and I got this.

Just skip breakfast and it's not an issue. :rotfl2: Breakfast flatbread does sound much better lol! I am weird about the whole food courty breakfast thing, it's like I'd rather have a yogurt on my balcony, hit the BW bakery or do a full sit down somewhere. The others are kind of in between and for some reason, I have issues. Go figure.

After breakfast, we headed into the store in Riverside, mainly just so I could get this picture.

:thumbsup2

Seriously, a Keyboard in the lounge? That is rude. We had one guy in there with us at first and the poor thing was SOOOOOO uncomfortable in there it was funny and sad all at the same time.

I have not read ahead to see if Mary Ellen posted any spoilers about our spa experience but lets just say...we were directionally challenged, twice! Oh my.
It could have been bad. Instead it was just really really funny. I had the most amazing sports massage and I really would love to do that again after Princess. Need to think about that for sure! A pedi would be nice as well, I feel like I'm beginning to enter runners feet land...not so pretty. Hopefully the new inserts will help mitigate.

Okay, how cool is the F&GF?!?

With all the new booths and such pretty, pretty things to see all over the park, how can you not fall in love with the F&GF?!?

You mentioned the DVC and going in May not really working out well because of the amount of points, making me think I might not want DVC after all. :scared:
May is the month I love going the most, especially early May. I guess it's not a matter of not being able to go, it's just a matter of giving up more of your points, right?

F&G is definitely worth seeing now. Not that it wasn't beautiful before, but I think the food booths add another component to it that I always felt was missing. At least for me. I love me some food.

It was complicated for us. The points aren't that bad in May. What happened for us was this:

We booked two studios at the Boardwalk, as my best friend and her husband were supposed to be coming along. If her husband didn't come along, she and I would share the studio. We booked those exactly 7 months out.

Well, a few months later, she said they wouldn't be able to make it. I told my parents there was no reason to keep the studio for only myself, so we called to cancel it. At that time, DVC told us that the points had to be used in that use year, otherwise we would lose them. They weren't bankable, since they had been cancelled so shortly before the trip (this is common with DVC, we've just never had it happen before). So the DVC CM checked and a 1 bedroom was available, which was the same amount of points as the two studios we had booked. So, we went with the one bedroom instead of risking losing any points. In hindsight, we totally would have used the points when booking another trip, but we figured we would splurge this time, because if my friends had come, we would have spent the points anyway. Does that make sense? It's semi complicated, but not so bad. Now May is more points than other times of years. They "price" points similarly to how you pay for rooms. The busier the time of year, the more points you use. But it's not terrible at all. The key to DVC is just booking well enough ahead of time to get what you want.

If you don't mind me being seriously nosey.....did you and your parents go in on the DVC together or is this strictly something you did on your own?
I've wanted to do it for a while now, but I hem and haw about it because I love staying at the Moderates so much. Yes, I realize I should probably try out a few of the DVC resorts.

Any way, sorry.....I made this about me. :worried:

No, you're not at all being nosey!

It's my parents who own the DVC. They just pretty much let me use it with them and on my own fairly freely. Mainly because we kind of go back and forth with things. I've treated with airfare to Europe before, I've treated with many things on vacation, so I think my awesome parents feel that I give a lot in return for being able to use DVC. :goodvibes I do want to buy in on my own soon, but not quite yet. It's only my income that I have, so I have to make sure that it's the right time.

I absolutely love the DVC resorts. My parents have owned for 13 years now though, so it's been a long time that I've been used to them. The things you "miss" out on with them though I don't care about. I don't want someone cleaning my room every day, etc. That stuff doesn't matter to me. I like the option for a fridge, microwave, kitchen, and stuff.

By the way, I loooooove reading your TR's. :lovestruc
Y'all bring joy into our lives and that is truly a gift. I thank all y'all for that. :goodvibes

Okay, seriously....how cool was that Royal Room?!? Mackie and I knew it was going to beautiful, but we had no idea how truly magical it was going to be. :cloud9: We really loved being there. It was only two nights, but still! :lovestruc

Your make-up was sooo pretty! And PapaDon's fashion show with the bra was something else! LOL
I wish I had grown up with parents like yours, you are such a truly blessed young lady to have such an amazing set of parents. ::yes::

Are they by chance adopting?!? :upsidedow

Awww, you're so sweet! I just enjoy writing them a lot. The royal room was absolutely lovely. I was glad we got to do it. They don't allow us to exchange points for the royal rooms, so I knew it would be out of pocket for us, but I really think that it was worth it.

I am truly blessed, and I absolutely know it. They're the best parents anyone could ever ask for.

We're always accepting new family members!

Again, I am so sorry about your broken toe. I hope you heal quicker than they said.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you got to meet Mary Ellen and Cynthia. Aren't they both just wonderful? I loved meeting Cynthia here in Chicago last year for lunch and I've had the good fortune of having a breakfast and a lunch with Mary Ellen (and hubby Denny) at Disney. The photopass pictures are absolutely wonderful. And what can be said about Pop? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love your loot bag gifts. :)

Fun pictures while waiting for Star Tours.

And another DISmeet. You were just the queen of DISmeets this trip. :goodvibes

I'm really hoping that it heals fast too. It's why I'm thinking of going to the doctor after three weeks to have them x-ray it to see how it's coming along. I really want to be able to get back out there and run.

They were both absolutely wonderful. I wish that we had more time together, but I think if we ever get the opportunity to do that again in the future, we'll make sure to make some more time. :thumbsup2

I totally felt like I was the queen of the DISmeets that day! Three in one day was some kind of record! They obviously slowed down after that, but it was pretty awesome.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally love our PP pictures and I really, really want mine now! Who has them??? Cynthia??? Pat??? Marv???? Who am I in a share with???? Rosie????? I'm so lost!

I laughed so hard seeing them because we look like we are having TOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

I am so glad I got to meet your guys as you were entering and we were leaving. Your parents are wonderful! I'm so glad you like your change purse. :thumbsup2

I am so bummed about your toe! That totally stinks and I don't blame you for being upset. You were doing so great with your running. No worries - your will catch up again. I know you will!

We MUST have trips that overlap again. You've got to meet Denny. I know he would love you and your folks!

OMG, you hadn't seen them yet! I can totally send them to you! I cracked up endlessly when I first saw them, which was on vacation. I was logging into the PP website every day to make sure all of the photos that I thought should be there were there.

It does look like we're having an amazing amount of fun, doesn't it?! I do love my change purse! So much. It was just such a thoughtful thing for you to do. :goodvibes

I'm totally bummed about my toe too! I'm better about it now, because I know in the end it could totally be worse, but still. I had gotten so far with everything and to have a setback, even if it seems minor is just annoying.

I would love that! I hope someday soon we do! It would be so much fun. :thumbsup2 I would love to be able to spend more time together.

It was about 12:30pm at that point, so we figured we would head over to the Boardwalk to check-in. We had a one bedroom villa on this trip. We normally stay in studios, but there were several changes that occurred, resulting in us only being able to get a one bedroom villa. However, at this point, I don't think my Pop will want to stay in anything but.

It is HARD to go back to a studio after a 1B! I really would vastly prefer to be in them every time. My points balance does not agree.

As we headed in, a CM with an iPad approached us and asked us if we were checking in. She then got our name from us and then said to be prepared for some magic, because our room was ready! What what!

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: That IS magic. It really does not seem to happen with DVC does it. I think the only "early" access I've ever had was at Aualni and OKW (early meaning before 3) and OKW was the only one actually ready at check in. It is seriously magic when it happens.

I LOVE BW. It's so relaxing yet still at the center of everything.

Our plan was to eat at a few of the booths around the Flower and Garden Festival before heading over to DHS for our FP+ times. Caitlin said they were finishing up at the Ditch, so we headed off in that direction. As we were walking towards Mexico, I thought for sure I saw Caitlin's parents, Dawn (Dawnbu40) and Dale, standing by La Hacienda. So I walk over and say "Dawn?"

Don't you totally love it when people just randomly call your name? I think it was better than just running over there and hugging people at random. You know. Because we totally feel like we know each other now, right?!

Thankfully, Dawn didn't freak out (thanks Dawn!) and Caitlin came over shortly after that. Our first official DISmeet of the trip!

Which my Pop soon became obsessed with. Every day, he'd ask me "so who are we meeting today?!" all excited, because he was absolutely loving the attention he was getting.

They are the absolute sweetest people, and I could totally see spending a lot of time with them, because their family dynamic totally reminds me of the dynamic I have with my parents. We just chatted about all kinds of things. Sports, Caitlin's start of the DCP, what the plans were for that night. It was brief, but it was a really great way to start the trip.

AND...because if you don't get a picture of it, it didn't happen, here is a pic of Caitlin and I. She's so cute! Making me feel like a giant. LOL.

Love it! Caitlin makes EVERYONE feel like a giant. I think she would fit in my suitcase. Your families have some very similar dynamics, all really really good, a perfect fit for hanging out.

Cynthia and I got to meet Landon not once, but twice! He truly IS the cutest baby on Earth! We got a kick out of watching him! Just adorable!

He just is so cute! He was running around when we got there and Alex was trying to wrangle him in so he didn't go too far. Just adorable.

Well, I am embarrassingly late to the party. Sheesh! Seems like I only manage to get on here every few weeks these days. Sorry.... :hippie:

Great start (well, I guess we're past the start) to another great TR for sure!

I love that you are staying at BWV! We love it there so much. It's the only WDW resort where we have stayed, but we will be branching out next year. ;)

Um, I don't know - I do enjoy a nice duck dish, but there is just something wrong with YOU eating duck. :confused3 :rotfl2:

Love all the DIS meets!

I intend to be better about following along - I have been a bad DIS'er lately, and my own TRs are suffering from it. :(

Aww, that's okay! I'm glad you're here.

I love BWV too. I've stayed there four times already. I do try to do some variety with the DVC resorts and sometimes we have to stay at resorts that aren't our first choice because of availability, but that whole resort area is my favorite. I'll take BWV and BCV any day over all of the other resorts.

Bahahahaha. Yeah, I know I know. As a D. Duck lover, I shouldn't be eating duck. :rotfl2:

It's okay, I fall behind periodically too. It's all good my friend. :thumbsup2

So sorry about your broken toe and not being able to run! :sad2: Such a bummer. I will be extra vigilant around those cabinet corners now! :goodvibes

Love all the DIS-meets!! I feel left out, having not met you now. :rotfl: Especially cool to see you and Alicia, since I'm following both of your TRs. It seems so strange to see the two of you together - it's like when sitcoms would have a character from one make an appearance on another one later that night. :lmao:

(And to the people in the comments here that were discussing poutine and Le Cellier - I am not Canadian and certainly no expert, but I have had poutine in (real, non-Epcot) Canada and I have had the Le Cellier poutine. The real stuff was WAYYYYYYYYY better than Le Cellier's (as of like 2010 or whenever we had it). Just thought you'd like to know. :goodvibes)

You should see me walking around my house now. I'm so paranoid. I mean, I don't want to knock that toe at all for the moment, but still. I'm just nervous. :rotfl2:

One day! We will meet one day when our trips overlap! There are so many people on the DIS that I would love to meet. :goodvibes

Hahaha, it is kind of funny right?! Reading two people's TR's and then seeing them overlap in one. I can totally see it's like a sitcom crossover!

The real stuff generally is better, right? :rotfl2: I love Disney food, but I would never say that it's as good as the real thing. I could say that about all kinds of Disney food. :lmao:

YAY for food!

What are your F&W dates?

We got the Taco al Pastor (corn tortilla filled with achiote marinated pork garnished with grilled diced pineapple, onions, and cilantro).

Plus, the Quesadilla de Hongos Con Queso.

Now, while Mom and Pop were waiting in line to get those beauties, I headed over to the Pineapple Promenade to get two of these lovelies.

Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade

I wanted to hit this booth but my stomach ran out of room. Yum!

Where we got Ghost Pepper Dusted Tilapia with Crisp Winter Melon Slaw and Mint Oil (featuring the Original Sauce Man's Kick It Up Rub).

Mom and Pop really enjoyed this. They said the tilapia was really mild (you say ghost pepper I say NO WAY!), so I took a bite.

This could have been a disaster. I took a bite of the slaw, which was apparently the spicy bit. I had no water. My violet lemonade was gone.

I literally just walked around with my mouth wide open hoping that the air would cool down my tongue!

Thankfully......it got better. I mean, if you were in World Showcase on 5/16/14 around 2pm and saw a really tall girl with short red hair walking around with her mouth gaping wide....that was me. :rolleyes1

Awww... I loved that item, it was seriously one of my favorite things this trip. But I'm sure I had a beverage of sorts with me at the time. I do like spicy though so I don't think I thought it was bad.

We also got Gnocchi Parisien a la Provencal (parisian style dumplings with vegetables and mushrooms).

With Confit de Canard, Pommes de Terre Sarladaise (pulled duck confit with garlic and parsley potatoes).

I had that duck! In fact it was my breakfast on the first day (after the mandatory cronut of course). So yummy. That gnochi though, I wish I'd tried it.

Aww, no :( I'm sorry to hear about your toe. That's terrible.

What an awesome idea to exchange gifts. Looks like you guys had a great time together.

Your Pop really does steal the TR every time he's in it.

And you do not exaggerate. He's an adorable child.

It's pretty crappy. But, I'm just being careful with it and am hopeful that it heals quickly.

I brought gifts to the DISmeets that I was 100% sure were happening. There were some that were not completely planned, so I didn't bring things for those. Although in retrospect, I totally wish that I did.

He does totally steal the TR whenever he's in it. I've totally accepted that now. :rotfl2:

Landon is the absolute cutest little guy. I'm so glad that we all got to meet each other.

I'm sorry about your broken toe. You'll be running again in no time.

I'm sure your dad loves all the photos with the ladies! He's such a ham! Glad you were able to have so many dismeets.

Hopefully I will be! :thumbsup2

He does love all of the photos with the ladies. The PP photographer pretty much thought he was a pretty lucky guy.

I was happy with so many DISmeets in one day! It was seriously one of the best days of our trip, and it was the first one!

So sorry about the toe. I have a feeling with your determination you will be up in no time. Your pics with dad and the dismeets what an amazing experience. Love them they make me lol. Such a sweetittle man in those pics love his little glasses.

I'm absolutely determined to get past this quickly.

Hahaha, my Pop is always hysterical! He loves to just ham it up in pictures.

Landon is absolutely adorable. And full of personality!

Your TR makes me smile so much!!!! I have laughed, cried & screamed 'tell me about it!' over and over!

First off. I have to share some mildly distressing news.

So I totally lost a battle with a counter corner in my kitchen yesterday. I was heading out of the kitchen, and clipped my pinky toe on my right foot on the edge that sticks out slightly.

And......broke it.

I knew it was broken. I could tell. It didn't feel at all like a normal stubbed toe. So I went to the acute care center to have them solidify what I already knew. I broke it.

There's not anything that can be done other than buddy taping the broken toe to the one next to it, not walking a lot, and keep it elevated for the first few days.

I'm not going to lie. I cried and cried and cried after it happened. Nope, not because I was in an immense amount of pain. I cried because I can't jog until this is completely healed. Which could be up to six weeks.

This came at the most inopportune time for me, because I'm completely immersed in the training program for the Princess Half Marathon. Yes, I still have time, but six weeks is a long time to take off. It's going to feel like I have to start at the beginning again when this is over. Which just breaks my heart.

You will be ok! I think the galloway plans don't start till 9/30. At the earliest, some are a full month later. I would cry cry cry too. Actually I'd have a full on melt down as I have my first half on 8/30. I might consider seeing a foot specialist instead of acute care as they are used to this kind of thing and helping folks get going.

OW and I am so so sorry, that is totally something I would do.

Who on earth was my next DISmeet? Well, you'll find out soon enough. Because I had been texting this individual from Epcot to find out if they were still at DHS as planned. Thankfully, they were still there waiting to use their FP at TSM. We were heading out of Epcot to walk to DHS, so I told her we would be there in about 15 to 20 minutes. Don't want to walk too fast you know. It was somewhat warm outside.

We took our time on the walk and in no time we had arrived. We had agreed to meet by Bo. Mainly because we all know where he is and also because it was at the front of the park. They were leaving and we were coming in for the day, so it worked out for the best.

Who were we meeting?

Mary Ellen (MEK) and Cynthia (eandesmom)!

I consider Mary Ellen to be one of the DIS friends I've known the longest. We've been reading each other's TR's for quite some time, so it totally felt like we knew each other.

I am so grateful for this! I didn't "know" you, or Caitlin and Dawn before this trip but thanks to Mary Ellen I am so glad I do! You guys were MUST meets for her and I am so glad for it.

As I walked in, I headed past Bo. And totally waltzed past Cynthia like an idiot. I was so distracted by everything, that I just walked in like a dee dee dee!

Well I saw Mary Ellen coming my way before I even caught glimpse of Cynthia. Sorry Cynthia!

That's pretty funny, I forgot that!
Pop of course charmed the pants off of everyone. He's a charming guy. He and Cynthia totally hit it off, and that would prove later when we were at Jellyrolls when they were just chatting up a storm.

Cause remember.

Yep, that's him! Oh my I have to say, that night was an absolute highlight of the trip for me. SO much fun!

Well that wasn't very ridiculous. Let's see if we can do better.

Yup, this seems about right.

Let's get a close up on that.

Oh yes. It just gets better.

Oh my Pop.

The pics are so much fun! I have seen them but don't have them yet. We were part of a share and the person coordinating it (not me this time, I needed a break from that lol) hasn't sent them out yet but it should be soon.

That's why Mary Ellen doesn't have hers yet.

But now I introduce you to the absolute cutest baby on the entire planet! Aaaahhh, Landon is just the cutest thing ever!

We chatted for a little while before we parted ways. We talked about Landon and how cute he is (clearly!), and how he's just so mobile now. He needs to be corralled, otherwise he just wants to take off running! I was so happy that we were able to cross paths at that point, because I wasn't sure if it was going to work out for us in the end. I'm so glad that it did work out. Alicia, it was so nice to meet you and your family!

Landon!!!!!!!!!!

The cutest baby EVER. I could eat him up. He's the baby version of Popadon I swear, just sucks you right in immediately

Following along!! :)

:welcome:

I'm glad you're here!

Aww Danielle, I am so sorry this happened to your toe. It's amazing how something so small can affect everything. I'll happily join in on the pity party especially since I know there'll be drinks!

Ugh, I know! And you really don't think about it much, but your toes do really plan a huge part in running with stride and balance! It's frustrating. You are correct, there will be drinks involved. :rotfl2:

YAY for another DISmeet. They are the best afterall. That's so sweet (but not surprising) that you hit it off right away.

Now I want to meet Mary Ellen even more. Wow those gifts!!!

AND ANOTHER DISMEET!!! This is so awesome!!! I'm so bummed I didn't know Alica and Alex in December since we were in the same place multiple times.

Man I wish I went to Disney in May!!!!

I know! The gifts were so awesome, I was so surprised by it.

You're totally wishing you were there in May, I know! That would have been absolutely awesome!

Ugh, so sorry to hear about your toe. Those thing s seem to always happen at the most inconvenient time. Like, if you weren't training for the princess half, your toe probably would have been fine. But since you are, of course it had to break. :( I hope it heals quickly and you can get to running again. On the bright side, at least you don't have to endure exercising in the July heat. Silver lining?:confused3

It really did feel like it was the most inconvenient time that something like this could happen. But, the way I'm looking at it, if I have to go the full six weeks, I just hit the workouts really hard come August and then I'll be okay. I'll still have a few months of decent weather to work with.

It was so hot out that day! And what I think was the worst was that the morning started out really nice. So it kind of tricked you into thinking you weren't going to melt under the sun's wrath by 2pm.

And that entire week, it just continued to get hotter and hotter!

I'm glad to see your PP pictures with Mary Ellen and Cynthia did not disappoint! You all look like you're having tons of fun.
It's always a great experience to meet someone who's been on the DISboards with you for a long time. I was able to do that once, and you're right, it feels like you've known each other for years.

It was great meeting you, as well! I'm really glad it worked out and we were able to. I love how my kid looks absolutely miserable in that picture. :rotfl: with as many dis meets as he has under his belt already, he's going to think we go to Disney to meet people. :lmao:

It was a lot of fun. It felt like we had known each other for so long.

I was so glad to meet you guys! When you texted me that you were heading to DHS, I was super excited.

He's totally gonna be a pro at DISmeets, if he isn't already. :rotfl2:

Wow, she's going to have a great time! F&W will be a great first time visit for her.

I do love the delivery option from park to park! We didn't do that, because we just left the big pieces of luggage we didn't need in the car, but we have done it before.

Congratulations on losing 60 pounds! That's an amazing accomplishment. I've lost 40 so far, and I still have more to go. Running actually helped me to reach that point. I needed a workout that I could have goals with, and my sister-in-law runs, so she ended up being my run buddy. I've run 6 miles before, and while I'm not fast, I just want to do it and accomplish it. I've wanted to run a Disney race for years, and I figured procrastination would not help me, so I just got on my plan and started doing it. :thumbsup2

:cheer2:

I'm in love with that. I have a tiny wallet/purse that I got from Susan too that's pretty awesome.

Totally is our long appendages. They have no idea what they're doing at any given time.

YES! Exactly that YES! The day before I broke it, I had managed to maintain 4 miles at my race pace. I'm working on pacing more than anything else, and that was a huge accomplishment for me. I was just sick about it after I broke it.

Oh my those PP pics are just so fun! I love your coin purse. I have now liked her on FB and have my eye on one!

She makes some awesome stuff! You can message her to make things and ask her what kind of fabrics she has too!

First things first, I'm really sorry to hear about your toe! I know how horrible it feels to be set back from an exercise plan because of injury. Ok so that parade of silly pictures is just the best! And that HM purse is amazing. You're right; that baby is the cutest ever.

I want to meet everyone! Seriously, I would love to meet all of my DIS friends someday. Hopefully it will work out. I DO know that I'll be in California next year, so I am definitely sending you the details.

I loved Alicia's shirt! And we were so happy that the meet up worked out, because it was a surprise one that wasn't expected.

I'm hopeful that this is more like a 4 week sidetrack and not the 6 week sidetrack that they initially said. I'm going to see an Ortho in a few weeks, because they're definitely more knowledgable about bones. Some people might think it's overkill, but not for someone who likes to get out there and pound the pavement.

Being in Disney is the absolute best excuse for not commenting! No worries at all!

I'm glad you liked flying out of Milwaukee! So many people don't understand in the Chicagoland area, and I just encourage them to give it a try. They are just so much nicer up there, and the airport is just so much more relaxed. I don't feel stressed out at all going through there.

We always buy EBCI because I just like to get on right away. I don't mind paying the extra bit of money. Their boarding process can be stressful otherwise, and I just like to be on the plane already. :rotfl:

-you had a long travel day!! I always bring a bunch of food on the plane, I don't trust them not to delay us and my kids would be whining if we didn't have food (and I hate it when they whine!)
-Port Orleans is the very first resort DH and I stayed in, on our first trip to WDW back in 1995 (I never was able to go as a kid, poor me). The Royal Room is lovely! All the little details are SO cool!!

We had some snacks on the plane, but I was just hungry for real food! And normally I'm okay with going quite some time without food. My Pop and I had an experience once where our flight was delayed and then the food court was closed when we got to the hotel. LOL. I was afraid of that happening. Worst case if we would have not made it in time, we would have hit up a drive thru on the way in. :thumbsup2

BCV is actually my absolute favorite resort on property. The last few times we've gone though, we haven't been able to get a reservation there, which is why it hasn't worked out for us. The last time I did have a trip planned there, the entire trip had to be cancelled the day off, because my friends father ended up in the hospital needing emergency surgery. :faint:

I'm hopeful it will heal faster than expected. Here's hoping!

I'm so excited you're going too!

It's actually a family affair, which will be fun for us. It's going to be my parents, myself, my brother, his wife, their two boys, my sister-in-laws sister, her husband, her two girls, and their new baby (who is going to be born in September).

We are going from February 18th to the 25th. My requirements were that I had to be there when the expo opened. :rotfl2: Gotta spend that money, right?

The plans are that everyone is doing the 5k on Friday (followed by the breakfast), except for SIL's sister's husband and the baby. We're trying to get all the littles to do it too.

The only ones doing the half is myself, my SIL, and her sister. The two of them have done a half before, in addition to doing the army 10 miler in DC. I'm the only newb in the bunch, but we've all agreed to start in the same corral. Otherwise known as my corral, because even with my proof of time that I'm planning on getting before December, I'm still going to be the slowest one. :rotfl2:

I am SO in love with this room. I want to stay there one night too!

Worth it!

I love that you have so much fun with it

Those rooms are beautiful! I was so happy that we got the opportunity to stay there, even though it was for one night.

Yup, it's absolutely high maintenance. I mean, it's worth it in the end, because I really love the color, but it's not for people who aren't willing to put in the effort.

My mom is completely gray too, but she's able to go a bit longer because she's a blonde, so the gray doesn't come through as obviously for her. So dumb, right?! Being a girl. :rotfl2:

The boost doesn't help my roots either, when they start to come out, you can totally see it. It only helps with the vibrancy on the already colored parts of my hair. :rotfl2:

Just skip breakfast and it's not an issue. :rotfl2: Breakfast flatbread does sound much better lol! I am weird about the whole food courty breakfast thing, it's like I'd rather have a yogurt on my balcony, hit the BW bakery or do a full sit down somewhere. The others are kind of in between and for some reason, I have issues. Go figure.

:thumbsup2

Bahahaha. Yeah, skipping breakfast and Popadon just does not go together. I don't do the whole food court thing often either. My Pop really loves breakfast, so we do it for him generally. When we get to the villas, we buy bagels, cream cheese, and items like that because I'd prefer to eat in the villa before we leave.

Rudest thing ever! I was seriously ready to lob something at him. But I decided to be nice and not do it. I just..grrrrrr.......

Hahahaha. Oh my. I could see getting a little turned around though. I do want to book something after the Princess, just not sure yet what I want to. I like the idea of the pedi, because they're massage your feet and legs at the same time. I don't have any problems yet with runners feet, but it's coming. I just know it's coming.

It is HARD to go back to a studio after a 1B! I really would vastly prefer to be in them every time. My points balance does not agree.

Completely agree with that, 100%. The P's points balance also does not agree all the time either. :lmao:

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: That IS magic. It really does not seem to happen with DVC does it. I think the only "early" access I've ever had was at Aualni and OKW (early meaning before 3) and OKW was the only one actually ready at check in. It is seriously magic when it happens.

I LOVE BW. It's so relaxing yet still at the center of everything.

That has happened to me a few times when it's ready, so I haven't encountered too many problems. We also typically fly in at night, so I would hope our room would be ready. LOL.

Love it! Caitlin makes EVERYONE feel like a giant. I think she would fit in my suitcase. Your families have some very similar dynamics, all really really good, a perfect fit for hanging out.

Right?! She's so adorable and cute. We do have a similar dynamic, which makes it much easier to mesh.

YAY for food!

What are your F&W dates?

We'll be there from November 8 - 15, for the final weekend of F&W. I can't take time off during October (stupid budget season), so this is one of the only ways I can feasibly enjoy it. However, I do like the timing, because the castle dream lights go up at that time too!

I wanted to hit this booth but my stomach ran out of room. Yum!

Awww... I loved that item, it was seriously one of my favorite things this trip. But I'm sure I had a beverage of sorts with me at the time. I do like spicy though so I don't think I thought it was bad.

That booth was really good! Stupid stomach running out of room. Bahaha.

It really did taste good! I've just got extremely sensitive buds when it comes to spicy, so it didn't work out in my favor. Stupid sensitive taste buds...

I had that duck! In fact it was my breakfast on the first day (after the mandatory cronut of course). So yummy. That gnochi though, I wish I'd tried it.

Of course you had a mandatory cronut! The duck was really yummy, I was pleased with it. The gnocchi was super yummy too though. I highly recommend that one.

Your TR makes me smile so much!!!! I have laughed, cried & screamed 'tell me about it!' over and over!

Thank you so much! I'm glad that you're enjoying it. :goodvibes

I'm going to try my best to pick up where I left off when it's healed. I'm not super worried about it, I think the initial shock of it definitely got the best of me. As a former non-runner, I've come super far and it just felt like such a set back. I do know his plans don't start until September, so I'm sure with the timing it's good. I hate treadmill running though, so during this winter I'm going to have to sign up at the only gym in the area that has a track.

Aaaah! I'm so excited about your half! You're going to do awesome.

OW and I am so so sorry, that is totally something I would do.

I am so grateful for this! I didn't "know" you, or Caitlin and Dawn before this trip but thanks to Mary Ellen I am so glad I do! You guys were MUST meets for her and I am so glad for it.

I'm a toe-stubbing expert, this is just the first time I've actually broken one. :lmao:

I'm so glad we all got to meet too! It was such a great time. We definitely all have to do it again if we get the chance. Yay for DVC! :rotfl2:

That's pretty funny, I forgot that!

Yep, that's him! Oh my I have to say, that night was an absolute highlight of the trip for me. SO much fun!

I was such a dingbat just walking in, glancing past Bo like "der!" and then kept walking. LOL.

Jellyrolls was so much fun! And he totally is like that. People think I exaggerate but you totally know now. I don't exaggerate his personality at all. :lmao:

The pics are so much fun! I have seen them but don't have them yet. We were part of a share and the person coordinating it (not me this time, I needed a break from that lol) hasn't sent them out yet but it should be soon.

That's why Mary Ellen doesn't have hers yet.

That explains it! She mentioned the share, so I figured it just hadn't come through yet. You'll get them soon.

Landon!!!!!!!!!!

The cutest baby EVER. I could eat him up. He's the baby version of Popadon I swear, just sucks you right in immediately

You're so right! He is the baby version of Popadon! Just pulls you in immediately.

First things first, I'm really sorry to hear about your toe! I know how horrible it feels to be set back from an exercise plan because of injury. Ok so that parade of silly pictures is just the best! And that HM purse is amazing. You're right; that baby is the cutest ever.

Thanks hon. Thankfully, it doesn't hurt a ton, so I'm grateful for that.

He is the cutest thing ever. I'm so glad that we were able to meet up in the end.

:rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

It was so great to meet you and Cynthia also. We had a great time with both of you at Jelly Rolls. Hope to meet up again soon.:cool1:
