I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

I saw an interesting StubHub hack and now can't find where I read it, so I'm wondering what you all think of it. Someone said you have a family member buy the cheapest ticket you can find on StubHub - say a $20 college hockey game. Then they list it for sale on StubHub and you buy it with your CSR for $150. In this example you (and your friend/family) would be making $130 (or a little less probably because of fees).
I wonder if this would work?
From what I read yes it would work however apparently Stubhub doesn't pay until after the event.

$20 College Hockey Game for 1/1/2026.
Friend lists it at $150 and you pay today (10/27/25).
The CSR will give charge you the $150 which you should earn 1x on.
Then a few days later the CSR credit should hit.
After 1/2/26 your friend would then get paid.

It might make more sense for the friend to buy an earlier $20 college hockey game so that they are paid earlier unless you were actually going to the game.

This is sort of my area of expertise at least with respect to Princess.

Chase has had my reservation since July and they can’t always refare it but I’ve been able to change rooms and get the new lower rate. When I first booked in June I booked an obstructed balcony room with the basic (Plus) package for $6,900. I’ve moved up three categories and upgraded my package and my current fare is $5,200. I haven’t used my urs to pay for it yet though. I would think you’d get a refund of urs (which will take months) but am not sure.

The other option with Princess is the better than best price guarantee form where they’ll give a credit that you can use for things like excursions.
so this is Norwegian- do you think it's worth it to try calling in and ask? And is the best way to check for drops etc right on the cruise website itself?

Yeah, the CSR doesn't need to be the payment method in your Apple ID. You just click the link to activate
Yup but the original poster was asking how to change from an apple gift card to the CSR for apple purchases which is why I pointed that out to @Twilghtsprkle.

I think @Twilghtsprkle was thinking it was for the CSR Apple TV/Music benefits but that was not the actual question.

Altitude connect -got the personal in summer....thinking of the biz.... what I'm currently interested in is more hotel stays in general, I've got plenty of different airline currencies, I'm shut out of chase right now, and always looking for general ways to get rooms for a night. opinions?

Trying to get all my couponing in before the end of the year. Changed a hotel in Germany from UR points to my Strata to use the hotel credit.

Changed my hotel in Florence to Il Tornabuoni for the Amex biz hotel credit. Explain FHR to me like I'm a newbie (cause I am). Do I just charge food to my room to get the $100 credit? I don't pay for it on my card, right? Does it hit your account and then you get a credit later after the trip or just no charge?

Thanks.

I'm not sure how the Altitude Connect biz helps with hotels unless you want to earn points for hotels instead of redeem them. I think of the USB biz cards as cashback cards, so the Triple Cash biz has the better SUB at $750 for the same $6000 spend.

Just to add on to what @havaneselover said.... We cruise mostly Carnival, so don't have much experience with NCL. I also get a lot of casino deals. Right now I have a cruise booked for January. 3 Rooms. DH and I in one, DD and her boyfriend in one and DS in one. I paid for them all with UR's using my CSR. I continue to monitor the pricing for our room type. (We have Havana Balcony Rooms all in a row, so not willing to change rooms). Pricing has been adjusted a few times to better deals. I called Chase and they would get Carnival on the phone to make the adjustments. I did have option of UR's back or OBC. It was just easier to use OBC.

So, give Chase a call. There rules on changes would be the same as your cruise line.

The $100 FHR property credit is offered by the hotel, so yes charge to room and it'll be taken off. The hotel will tell you what it can be used on.
