What’s for Dinner Tonight?

New crock pot recipe that we did for a birthday lunch.
Potatoes in the bottom of the crockpot.
Dry Italian dressing. Paprika, minced garlic.
Parsley. Salt and pepper to taste.
Then chicken on top. I put the same spices on top of the chicken. Olive oil. I put on both the potatoes and the chicken. Then a couple cubes of butter on top of the chicken it said so it melted down onto both. 1 cup parmesan cheese. I had 5 pounds chicken.
Cook five hours on high or I think it was 6 to 7 on low. Next time I would’ve doubled the spices. Coworker brought a thick bread.

I just prepped a turkey breast for the Traeger. Love the coffee rub that Traeger has..works really well. I’ll grill that up with some golden Yukons, apple harvest salad, & roasted butternut squash. I’m going to grill the turkey on a pan this time to get drippings for gravy.

We’re headed out for a couple hours to the local Día de los Muertos celebration. I’ll come home make dinner and then tonight we’re going to cruise all of the Halloween home winners!! So fun!!

I had breakfast with the boys this morning. It was me, DH, and two of my friends husbands. We went to home depot after to pick up new storm doors. I went yesterday and was going to have them delivered and they wanted $80 a door for delivery. I was not paying $240 for delivery, so we treated some friends to breakfast and they helped us pick them up. They are going to install them later.

Breakfast was fantastic! I had their homemade banana bread (with walnuts and chocolate chips) as French toast! Yum!

Trying to figure out a dinner plan. I’ll post later what I decide to have.

Update: Didn’t get back home in time to get my turkey on the grill as we were enjoying the festival! They had a sangria bar, fresh tacos and snacks. So yummy! Lot’s of fun vendors and entertainment. The women who entered the Catarina contest were just amazing, along with the Ofrendas people had put together.

Sooooo today…there is the Fall Festival at our church and they do a great lunch. Pulled pork sandwiches, mac salad, etc! So we’ll do that and then I’ll get my turkey on the Traegar. If we don’t eat it for dinner, it can be prep for the week.

Happy Sunday, y’all! 🥰🎃💀
