If you like to stalk..I have a trip planned(before I bought my BRV) for Jan 17-24 at BWV and it seems as I will have 112 points to use before August 2026. I was hoping to extend my trip beginning on 24th of Jan. I think I can get 3 more nights in a one bedroom with 112 points? If you wouldn’t mind looking ..obviously I can’t do it until I actually have the points but I’m curious if there will be anything left ..if you wouldn’t mind taking a look I’d appreciate it..just so I can get an idea if everything is bookedI tried stalking for her and failed so maybe im not that good. I disagree. I’d load up on CCV points since you love it over there and use them as SAP with 1bd with WL being your 11m home base.Probably should just buy a SSR second contract for points and call it a day!
Do you all think stripped contracts are worth it if you can get a good deal?
This is true, but also true for any resort if you find a good enough deal. And, deals can be had at BLT and CCV for significantly less than average resale prices just like at SSR. I think there's been some pretty amazing deals for CCV reported recently on the ROFR thread. Personally, I'd rather have that longer contract than SSR because I'd bet that will help those contracts retain their value longer. Still, SSR isn't a bad option either. Much better than, say, OKW or AKV - like I said, I think SSR works really well if you just want more points to use and you would rather not commit as much money upfront for those same number of points at CCV or BLT.If she bought SSR for dirt cheap and sold for more she could make more money. Ofc no one can predict the future.
It's not going to matter much until you get the points as inventory changes by the minute. If you like to stalk..I have a trip planned(before I bought my BRV) for Jan 17-24 at BWV and it seems as I will have 112 points to use before August 2026. We're not supposed to post that, but I have a feeling you will need to stalkIf you like to stalk..I have a trip planned(before I bought my BRV) for Jan 17-24 at BWV and it seems as I will have 112 points to use before August 2026. The BLT direct cost is insane. Im hoping when villains land opens it will be a hot ticket 🎟This is true, but also true for any resort if you find a good enough deal. Waitlist one night at a time with a backup reservation booked one night at a time before merging for another shot.If you like to stalk..I have a trip planned(before I bought my BRV) for Jan 17-24 at BWV and it seems as I will have 112 points to use before August 2026. This is the best choice. CCV value is hard to beat by almost any resort and the extra cost up front over say BRV is only a drop in the bucket when you consider the extra years on the contract.I disagree. I’d load up on CCV points since you love it over there and use them as SAP with 1bd with WL being your 11m home base.
Yes! It would be great if Poly or BLT came up..prob not possibleIt's not going to matter much until you get the points as inventory changes by the minute.
You could get 4 nights in a standard 1 bedroom adding on 1/24/26 to 1/28/26 (Unlikely)
You could get 3 nights in a standard 1 bedroom adding on 1/24/26 to 1/27/26 (Unlikely)
You could get 3 nights in a Preferred 1 bedroom adding on 1/24/26 to 1/27/26 (Possible)
This might be an opportunity to try out one of the other resorts to see if it might be something that could interest you.
I always like looking at David's DVC Cost & Points calculator site it is faster for me than logging into DVC when I'm playing around with planning and using points as it shows them all on one screen (If using a computer on mobile just one resort will show) and click points rather than $$

I do love it over there but I do want to stay at other places too and from what I saw CCV is kind of expensive per point on resaleThis is the best choice. Currently many are priced higher than what they should be. In about 2 months people will get the bill for dues and decide it's time to sell. That will bring prices down. But also you can always negotiate you dont have to pay asking price. But again when you factor in extra years even $30 more per point up front will save you a lot of money in the long run.I do love it over there but I do want to stay at other places too and from what I saw CCV is kind of expensive per point on resale
And, keep in mind that ownership at a particular resort is much less important for 1 BR villas, as they tend to be pretty easy to book at the 7-month mark. CCV points can be used at any of the original 14 resorts. Plenty of people buy CCV points not intending to use them there much of the time (what some of us on these boards refer to as SAP or "Sleep Around Points"). As @VGCgroupie showed with her example, they are basically the cheapest points when viewed from the cost per year over the life of the contract (well, technically resale RIV is cheaper, but since those can only be used at RIV, it is sort of a different category of points than the original 14 resorts).I do love it over there but I do want to stay at other places too and from what I saw CCV is kind of expensive per point on resale
