Hi all,

Recently got back from a spur of the moment trip to Dis. I went on line to get an idea of airline $ this time of yr. (have never flown other than in the fall). A local airline was at $59. ea. way. Mentioned to DH, we agreed to good to refuse. Looked for cheap accomadations (as I'm saving points for 2 trips in 2005 - will be 1st trip being dvc members.). Anyway we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Although it was nice for the $ - there truly is no place like "home" I missed OKW.
While we were there we checked out SSR (we bought sight unseen and I must admit I was a bit nervous.). I think it is beautiful. I believe I read somewhere on this board the hallways were a little disappointing I found that to be true (just not quite up to dvc standards IMO), but DH strongly disagreed.
We were planning on staying at SSR in June 2005 then decide if we wanted to stay SSR or OKW when we bring my DB and SIL with us in Nov. 2005. I think we'll be staying at SSR both trips if it's possible.

I've also asked on this board how young is too young in regards to babies. I still don't know but, I do know 11 months isn't to young. DD was in love with Mickey, as well a Chip, the fireworks she was amazed with, and the light parade she wouldn't take her eyes off, she kept clapping. My only complaint as far as she went was the napping ability in the rental strollers. I think next yr. I'll bring my own. I did bring an umbrella stroller this time but she never looked comfy in that one either.

Well that's all. Just thought I'd drop a note.::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Hi Deesknee:wave:

Was thrilled to read your post as I was talking to a friend yesterday whose hubby said they need to wait till next year when their DD will be three!!!!

She's over two now and I think she will love Disney::yes:: :sunny:

Glad you got to take a spontaneous trip to WDW:earsboy:

Thanks, Lisa

DeesKnee,

Glad you got to take an impromptu trip. Sometimes those are the most fun. As for the kids ages, I think every age is the perfect age. We waited until our oldest turned 3, our DS was 17 mos at that time. It was THE most memorable trip. I remember both of them watching SpectroMagic with wonder in the eyes. The 17 mth old just about waved his little hand off waving at all the floats as they went by. We have it on video and I cry every time I watch it.

The are now 7, 8 & 10 and our trips have changed, but we discover new and exciting things each trip.

Enjoy your DVC!

Lissa
