Resort Thread Disney's BOARDWALK INN Resort

Are you asking about a view of the Porte Cochere & Driveway at the front of the resort or may be a request overlooking the "Village Green" between the BWI and the BWV buildings on the Boardwalk level?

Dave

Yes, I think the village green! But my luck we'd get the room with no balcony.
Looking at the entrance/driveway might be fun. Can you see the skyliner?

You can make up to 3 Requests. Request a balcony as your first and overlooking the Village Green as your second request.

Only a few rooms on the 5th floor have a partial view of the Gondolas just before they descend to make the turn point at the front of the Boardwalk entrance to head to the Rivera resort. To me it is just not worth it to try to see the Gondolas.

Trying to figure our best water view request from the the BWI for August. Any suggestions?

You can request more than one thing when booking a room. Just note the more you request the less likely they are to know what you really want. I have a friend who used to assign rooms. She recommended you choose the most important thing to you. She said if you request location and balcony and both are not available she is not sure which is priority. She said people do not put them in order by priority.

Thank you..
A balcony is a must for us, it helps give us more space with our 11 year old son. Do all the water view rooms have balconies, just wondering if I should include the request.

No there is an entire bank of elevators on the BWV side of the resort. They are right off the lobby. Where did you hear there was only 1 elevator?

The same configuration is duplicated on the BWI side, and it has an additional elevator that goes from the lobby to the Boardwalk level.

Dave
Maybe I've just never found the elevator bank. I've only encountered the single elevator. Where is the bank?

As @DaviVascaino indicated we are talking about the main bank of Elevators for the BWV building. They are located in a hallway right off the main lobby in the BWV wing of the resort. From the lobby just walk into the BWV side of the building and the Elevators are straight ahead. DVC Villas are to the left and the right. I am guessing that you just turned right or left to follow the room numbers. These 3 elevators are right next to room x068 (x=1-5).

The Single elevator that you mentioned is located at the first T in the hallway heading south away from the main elevator lobby area. It is between rooms x118 and x087 (x=1-5). On the first floor it provides access to the Courtyard, Community Hall, and the BWV Quite pool.

Does this make sense?

We use Touring Plans so I looked and found rooms we liked better! They are resort view and face the courtyard but in the distance you can see Spaceship Earth, the Eiffel Tower and some fireworks! So we are going to try our luck with that bank of rooms instead. They all had balconies. :) (also stressing balcony is a priority in our request). If we could afford a Boardwalk view we'd book in a flash, but not in the cards right now.

Thanks for help!

from what I have been told, requesting specific rooms by number is not the way to go and getting those is actually super hard. It is better to make less specific requests like : balcony, higher floor, etc etc

Sounds like a great plan, and enjoy your visit.

Just a reminder for others that there only 2-3 rooms at the BWI that don't have a balcony or a patio, you would have to have extremely bad luck getting 1 of those rooms.

It's not a specific room, the request is a range of rooms near where I want to be. I use Touring Plans and have had great luck getting our requests before.

If not, that's okay too.

I think I will try Touring Plans to before I put in any requests for my water view. Thanks for the idea!

We used Touring Plans & was able to get exactly what we wanted. We were right behind the margarita stand. Sometimes we have luck with TP & sometimes not so much.

Can someone please give me the address I should use when ordering a grocery delivery? I see a few different addresses floating online for Boardwalk and want to ensure I use the most accurate one.

Thanks in advance!

The official address that Disney publishes is:

Disney's Boardwalk Resort
2100 Epcot Resorts Blvd
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-8442
(407) 939-6200 (note this is a call center and not at the resort)

The other most referenced address is 2101 Epcot Resorts Blvd which is almost correct, and some even claim that the Boardwalk is located in Orlando (Yes Google, I am looking at you)
