There’s No Turning Back Now! 7/23 - Link to my new PTR!

Yep, I was going to remind you that you will have to find a way to get back to your FP time within the time that it states on the FP now. I will be interested in how this works, it seems like you'll have to be pretty flexible about it?

Your days look superfull! I cannot wait to hear more!!!

Love your HS plan! That's very similar to what we did last time. We grabbed a TSM FP and then rode so we were able to get on twice that day. Get the big three out of the way and the rest is just icing! Love it Erin! :goodvibes

I don't want to burst your touring plans bubble, but remember, you must now return within the fast pass window timeframe. :confused3

Ugh, yeah, that pretty much sucks, doesn’t it? I think that might make us have to do even more crisscrossing in AK if our return time comes up before we expect it. We’ll see…

Yeah, I think flexibility is important with this new policy. I don’t like it! :lmao: I do wonder though, if the policy will prevent clogs in the FP lines because sometimes the FP lines can be almost as long as the stand by lines!

Thanks for reminding me that we need to ride TSM after grabbing the FastPasses! One ride is never enough! Altering my touring plan now… :surfweb:

Another great day! :goodvibes

I’m looking forward to this day a lot because we hit the major rides and then take it fairly easy the rest of the day – as Kelli pointed out – and then just relax at the pool or do some shopping! We’ll have a lot of CS meals to use up, so I was thinking dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express!

Wednesday already, huh? Wow, this is going by fast! Well, this is our EPCOT day and this is the day I hope to get a lot done that I haven’t been able to see with the kids in the past. This is also the night that I hope to get TWISTED :tilt: Well, maybe not that bad since we will have my kids with us :lmao: Margaritas and Slushies and saki oh my! Well, maybe I won’t mix liquors like that – I think I’ll pick one and stick with it. I’ll probably do the Grey Goose because that is what I am looking forward to having the most. So I can go back and forth between the Grey Goose flavors of slushies and I will be good! Then again, I just found out more information on the margaritas offered in EPCOT and I really want to try some of those too! Ashley put up a picture of a dessert from Trail’s End restaurant on Pinterest and I followed the link to the Disney Food Blog. What a mistake that was! :rotfl: I spent a good hour on there (maybe two  but who’s counting?) and stumbled upon a review of La Cava del Tequila. According to Disney Food Blog, they have drinks and tapas, “70 different types of tequila, uniquely blended margaritas, tapas-style finger foods like mahi mahi tostadas, blue crab tostados, guacamole and ceviche”. Um…Heck yeah!!! Reportedly, the chips and queso are to die for and the margaritas are insane! They don’t accept DDP, unfortunately, but I think it’ll be worth it to grab a snack and a few drinks from there before, after and during touring Mexico! :lmao: I’m already drunk with excitement!

Wednesday, June 27th:

Breakfast at Akershus at 8am
EPCOT opening at 9am – start touring after breakfast
* get FastPasses for Soarin’
Mission: SPACE
Sum of All Thrills (This will be so cool!)
Living with the Land
Soarin’ – using FastPasses
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Journey into Imagination with Figment
Captain EO (I don’t really want to see this, but we will if anyone else wants to see it)
Circle of Life
*eat a light lunch or snack at Sunshine Seasons
Spaceship Earth
Ellen’s Energy Adventure
Tour Innovations East and sign up for Kim Possible or Agent P or whatever it will be this summer
Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros (Another first for us!)
Maelstrom
Reflections of China
Germany Pavilion
Dinner at Biergarten at 4:15pm
Italy Pavilion
The American Adventure
Japan Pavilion
Morocco Pavilion (I really want to get henna!)
Impressions de France
United Kingdom Pavilion
Canada Pavilion
Illuminations

This is a pretty full day, but I think we will be OK because we can take it pretty easy once we get to the World Showcase. We’ll leave after Illuminations and get some rest before our next MK day!

Hey Erin, I don't see Test Track. Is it closed? If so, bummer!

Captain EO was minutes of my life I will never get back. I liked Michael Jackson but this was such a snooze fest. But it's a rest in the air conditioning so there's a positive! :thumbsup2

Yeah, it’s closed until the fall :( I’m really disappointed about that. As far as Captain EO, I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t care for it

Day Two of our Magic Kingdom touring! We have a lot to squeeze in before dinner, so here we go!

Thursday, June 28th:

Arrive for Rope Drop in Magic Kingdom (have plenty of snacks because there’s no food break until lunch!)
Space Mountain
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Jungle Cruise
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room (I don’t really mind if we skip this one  )
Swiss Family Tree House
Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
* eat lunch at Casey’s Corner or somewhere close by
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
Stitch’s Great Escape (I could take it or leave it)
Astro Orbiter (Unless the line is too long)
Mad Tea Party(Again, unless the line is too long. We can come back for this later or another day)
Barnstormer (Once again, this depends on the lines. I don’t want to get stuck in Fantasyland)
* take the WDW Railroad to the front of the park and leave for dinner
Dinner at Rain Forest Cafe at 6pm (where I hope to have a little concoction called a Coronarita!

After dinner, I think we will do some souvenir shopping and hang out in DTD for a while. If not, I think we’ll go back to MK since it closes at 10pm this night. I’d prefer staying at DTD for two reasons. One is because we will have a third day at MK on Saturday. The other reason is that I really want to go to Ghirardelli to get a chocolate treat and maybe even get a few cupcakes from Babycakes! Then again, you can never have too much MK!

Erin, I like your plan! We did something very similar (start in Tomorrowland) on our second MK day and got most of it done by lunch.

When you finish up the People Mover, Cosmic Ray's will be close by for lunch. They have a nice selection and a toppings bar if you haven't been there before.

The Tiki Room was not a fave of mine either. ;)

Friday is up in the air as of right now. The only thing set is that we are having breakfast with Lilo and Stitch! There is something I would like to do outside of the parks if possible, but I have to see how my sisters feel about it. By the way, Ashley is still reading along, so this may be the first she is hearing about this! :lmao: I think I’ll have to text her and Marissa really quick to see what they think. Option One is to add a day to our Park Hoppers so that we have 7 days. That way, we can go to Animal Kingdom this day and maybe another park this night. The extra tickets will only be about $17 for both of them (so about $8.50 each). It would be $26 for me to add an extra day for myself and my kids. I almost want to do it just so we can have that buffer day in case we decide to do Option Two and still want to go to the parks after. Option Two is to go to ZOOmAir. Coy has wanted to go ziplining ever since the 5th grade. I asked him the other day if he still wanted to do it and he said he did! This place seems to have a couple of great ziplining courses and I think Marissa, Ashley and True might be up for it too. The cost would be $28.25 each for one course and $51.20 if we want to do both courses. Actually, there is a third option, which would be to go ziplining and then go to Animal Kingdom after. I’ll write up Option One and Option Three to see which one sounds best.

Friday, June 29th: Option One

Breakfast at ‘Ohana at 8am
* go to Animal Kingdom after breakfast
* get FastPasses for Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
Kali River Rapids
Expedition Everest – using FastPasses
Flights of Wonder
Maharajah Jungle Trek
* get FastPasses for Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition
* have lunch
Kilimanjaro Safaris Expedition – using FastPasses
Wildlife Express Train to Conservation Station (Marissa wants to see Pocahontas and True loves the goats!)
Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
Festival of the Lion King
Finding Nemo – The Musical
It’s Tough to be a Bug
* make our way out of the park and look at any wildlife along the way

Friday, June 29th: Option Three

Breakfast at ‘Ohana at 8am
*leave for ZOOmair and arrive at approximately 10am
Fly through the trees!
*leave for Animal Kingdom and arrive at approximately 2pm
* get FastPasses for Dinosaur
* lunch at Flame Tree Barbeque
Finding Nemo – The Musical
* get FastPasses for Expedition Everest
Dinosaur – using FastPasses
Flights of Wonder
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Expedition Everest – using FastPasses
* leave AK and – on the way out – ride any attraction that doesn’t have a long standby line

Yeah, looking at this, I would prefer Option Three! This may be wishful thinking on my part because I don’t know how physically exerting the ziplining will be in the Florida heat. Maybe we should start out with just one course! The pictures online make it look like an elaborate playground, but pictures can be deceiving! Considering that ziplining requires the use of gravity, I’m going to assume that there is a fair amount of climbing involved! Also, if we only do one course, we could probably get back to AK around 1pm and squeeze another ride or two in. What do you guys think? Has anyone ever gone to ZOOmAir? Hopefully, my sisters will go for this. I just realized that there is a fourth option – if my sisters don’t want to go, the kids and I could always go! I’m pretty sure my sisters will be into it though. We’re all thrill seekers and I think ziplining will give us a nice little fix!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: It would definitely be a toss up between the slushies and the margarita bar- either way your bound to get twisted. :lmao:

Wednesday, June 27th:

Breakfast at Akershus at 8am
EPCOT opening at 9am – start touring after breakfast
* get FastPasses for Soarin’
Mission: SPACE
Sum of All Thrills (This will be so cool!)

Jace LOVED this! He did it twice with Robbie and I think it was his favorite attraction! :thumbsup2

Living with the Land
Soarin’ – using FastPasses
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Journey into Imagination with Figment
Captain EO (I don’t really want to see this, but we will if anyone else wants to see it)
Circle of Life
*eat a light lunch or snack at Sunshine Seasons
Spaceship Earth
Ellen’s Energy Adventure
Tour Innovations East and sign up for Kim Possible or Agent P or whatever it will be this summer

I didn't know they were changing it but I'm not surprised- most kids younger than mine probably have no idea who Kim Possible is.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros (Another first for us!)
Maelstrom
Reflections of China
Germany Pavilion
Dinner at Biergarten at 4:15pm
Italy Pavilion
The American Adventure
Japan Pavilion
Morocco Pavilion (I really want to get henna!)

Illuminations

This is a pretty full day, but I think we will be OK because we can take it pretty easy once we get to the World Showcase. We’ll leave after Illuminations and get some rest before our next MK day!

Whew, I'm exhausted just reading all that! It's a full day but I think totally doable and it looks like fun! :goodvibes

Day Two of our Magic Kingdom touring! We have a lot to squeeze in before dinner, so here we go!

Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
* eat lunch at Casey’s Corner or somewhere close by

I agree with the other poster who suggested Cosmic Rays- and if your on the DDP the chicken and rib platter can be split between two people saving one of your credits. :thumbsup2

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress
Stitch’s Great Escape (I could take it or leave it)

I'd leave it unless you have a super duper Stitch fan (like we do).

Astro Orbiter (Unless the line is too long)
Mad Tea Party(Again, unless the line is too long. We can come back for this later or another day)
Barnstormer (Once again, this depends on the lines. I don’t want to get stuck in Fantasyland)

Is this re-opened? I didn't realize- and isn't it renamed then. Something to do with Timothy from Dumbo. I know they shut it down to re-theme it for the FL expansion.

* take the WDW Railroad to the front of the park and leave for dinner
Dinner at Rain Forest Cafe at 6pm (where I hope to have a little concoction called a Coronarita!

I've never been but ziplining sounds amazing! I'm actually afraid of heights but I generally push myself to try stuff like this anyway because I'm too stubborn to let a silly phobia keep me from having a good time.

If you are pressed for time I wouldn't push to fit in the Nemo show. It was okay but nothing spectacular- just a retelling of the movie. The puppetry was kind of cool but not something that I felt was worth trying to work in when the show is long and the park is difficult to navigate anyway. Just my two cents. :confused3

I also wanted to say sorry I haven't been around to respond sooner- life has been a bit hectic lately! I'm really trying to get the kids more involved in some outside activities (especially Jace) and it has made things a bit crazy- but in a good way! :upsidedow

Ziplining sounds very crazy but very, very cool! That would be a big hit with my kids too. Fun!! :thumbsup2

Yeah, we have some pretty big days! I hope that I have scheduled enough downtime! Well, doesn’t that sound like an oxymoron – “scheduled downtime??? :lmao: Barnstormer reopened in a soft opening this past week, I think, so I hope it will stay open by the time we get there :goodvibes Now Goofy is called “The Flying Goofini”… Interesting… I'll save my thoughts about that until I get back from our trip  Ziplining is crazy fun. I’ve only been once and it was on only one line, but it was incredible. I only wish Coy was able to experience it when I did, but that is a long story that I explained in my other PTR. I’d retell it, but it makes me so angry  and I am in my happy place right now :rotfl: So I think that all of us will enjoy going on a zipline course!

Ziplining sounds very crazy but very, very cool! That would be a big hit with my kids too. Fun!! :thumbsup2

I think the ziplining will be awesome! I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it! What is good is that they have kid’s courses too, so younger kids can also experience it. True is too tall now for the kid’s course, so she is going to have to hang out with us big kids! :rotfl:

Saturday – our last park day. Just posting these touring plans has gone by really fast, so I can’t even imagine how fast the actual week will go by when we are there! We’ll be spending most, if not all, of this day in the Magic Kingdom. Since it is going to be a busy Saturday in June, I don’t really expect to get a lot done. This day is supposed to be a “Best” day for MK, but the crowd level is anticipated to be an 8.3 out of 10! The other parks are 8.2 for EPCOT (another “B” park), 8.8 for HS and 8.9 for AK!!! :scared1: :rotfl: I still think that this will be a very special day, though. I already had a breakfast ADR for Chef Mickey’s in place, so I knew that would kick off the day right :thumbsup2 I didn’t have any dinner plans, so on Thursday night I went online and looked to see if they had something available at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Surprisingly, they had a few ADRs open!!! :cool1: I whipped out my credit card and took an opening as soon as I could! I couldn’t believe they had any availability! I was so excited! I still am! You guys know how much I love it there and how I have wanted to make going to CRT on our last park day a tradition! Also, Ashley asked me a week or so ago if we could eat inside of the castle. I told her I would see but not to get her hopes up because it is very hard to get reservations there. I told her that people will call as soon as the phone lines open to get a reservation there 180 days out. I actually wanted to make this reservation at 180 days but I didn’t have the money available to do it then, so I had pretty much given up eating there on this trip. I’m still pretty shocked that I was able to get us in. What’s going on? I mean, all of the ADRs I got were at the exact times I wanted and I never had to make any changes because something wasn’t available. I wasn’t expecting the same with CRT! I’m not going with my best case scenario anymore – which was that the crowd levels were going to be low for some reason  – so what could it be? Are people starting to steer away from the table service meals? Are more people taking the Quick Service Dining Plan? Well, whatever it is, I won’t complain! We are eating at a wide variety of places and we even get to top off the week at CRT! One thing I should mention is that we will now have an extra Counter Service meal each. Actually, we will have quite a few left over. I’ll have to write up our ADRs again so I can see which ones we’ll need to pay for OOP and to see how many CS meals we should be using. More than likely, we will be able to get some sandwiches and snacks on Sunday for the ride home. That was what the kids and I did on our last trip. So, back to this trip and our touring plans for –

Saturday, June 30th:

Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s at 8:15am (I’ll have to check the logistics of this, but I would like to park at TTC, take a monorail to the Contemporary and then monorail over to MK after breakfast)
* get FastPasses for Space Mountain; ride if the standby line isn’t too long
Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover
Carousel of Progress
Space Mountain – using FastPasses
* get FastPasses for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Haunted Mansion
Hall of Presidents
* get FastPasses for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Buzz Lightyear – using FastPasses
* get a snack (maybe at Main Street Bakery!)
Pirates of the Caribbean
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – using FastPasses
* do something until dinner – I don’t know what
Dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table at 4:25pm
* get FastPasses for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mickey’s PhilharMagic
Prince Charming Regal Carousel
Winnie the Pooh – using FastPasses
Mad Tea Party
* ride more Fantasyland rides at the end of the night as people watch MSEP and Wishes; also try to make it over to Frontierland for a few rides, if possible
* browse the shops of Main Street as we make our way out of the park

I won’t be surprised if we don’t get all of this done. Actually, I will be surprised if we get even half of this done! :lmao: It would have been a full week of touring and having fun, so I’ll be happy with whatever we get to do on our last day :)

90 days, guys!!! Yes, I said…

90 DAYS!!!!!
I’m so excited! We all are! 90 days is going to go by in no time at all! I’ve been thinking about the meals we will have down there and trying to figure out how much we’ll need for tips etc. We’ll have eight CS and TS meals but I have TWELVE TS meals scheduled, so I was a little worried that we wouldn’t have room to eat eight CS meals! :lmao: So let’s take a look at the meals we have planned:

Saturday 6/23 – 1900 Park Fare

Sunday 6/24 – Crystal Palace – OOP and Garden Grill

Monday 6/25 – Tusker House – OOP and 50’s Prime Time Café

Tuesday 6/26 – Sci-fi Dine-in Theate

Wednesday 6/27 – Akershus and Biergarten

Thursday 6/28 – Rain Forest Café – OOP/My Points Gift Card

Friday 6/29 – ‘Ohana

Saturday 6/30 – Chef Mickey’s and Cinderella’s Royal Table – OOP; already paid

Based on this, it looks like we will have at least one CS meal each left if. Probably more because I’m not sure that we will eat a full CS meal for breakfast on Tuesday and Thursday. We might only have a snack on one or both of those days. Speaking of snacks, I think we will have a TON left over! Goofy’s Candy Company, here we come!

I can't believe your trip is getting so close! :cool1::banana::dance3::yay::cheer2:

Your last park day looks really great- I know I say this all the time but I HAVE to recommend that you pre-order a slipper dessert (or two, or three) for your dinner at CRT. They are just DIVINE!

Looking at your dining plans had Karen and I talking yesterday. We briefly considered splurging on a signature meal as well but it didn't really fit anywhere in our plans so we opted not to. But still, you were there in spirit, helping us with our plans. ;)

Less than 90 days now! :cool1:

Congrats on getting a CRT reservation!! Your dining plans all look awesome!

I'm so happy that our trip is less than three months away! Thanks for reminding me about the slipper dessert. I'll have to look into that! Yum! I'm glad I could help out you and Karen with your plans. That's why I love the DIS. We all can share plans and get ideas from each other! :disrocks:

Less than 90 days now! :cool1:

Congrats on getting a CRT reservation!! Your dining plans all look awesome!

I almost can't believe our trip is so close! I was talking to my sister, Marissa, yesterday and she was going on and on about how she can't wait for this trip! We're all excited! I'm even more excited about getting the CRT reservation. I still can't believe it :goodvibes

Erin!!! I am just so excited for you that your trip is so close!!! It's hard to be excited when the trip is so far out, but now....look where you are!! I know I've been quiet on the boards lately, but I have been here and following along! What do you think you are most excited for? What do you do when you walk into the room for the first time? Again, I'm so excited for you!
