Peachie Pie Those pictures are so pretty. Thanks for showing those.

Bobbiwoz Henri is so adorable.

Good Morning. It is 29 here now with temps not going up too much. It is lightly snowing but I am sure the roads are already slippery. I am skipping the gym this morning and will go tomorrow instead. I don't want to be out early on slippery roads. I saw Jeff and family yesterday. We played a great game of Sorry. I forgot how much fun that can be. My exercise bike was delivered so Kenny came by and brought it into my garage. He brought Clifford and they stayed for a little visit. I strained some muscles and probably lother stuff when I rotated my mattress yesterday. It was easy to do, I didn't feel like I was putting in a big effort, and I was not sore at all until evening. I also was sitting in a low couch leaning over to play Sorry. My upper arms especially, lower back, and legs are sore so taking aleve and tylenol. Feels a bit better today. Note to self, do not rotate the mattress again. Kenny can help! We have our Christmas plans. We are going to Kenny's for brunch on Christmas Eve day and then on Christmas I am going to Kenny's for couple of hours around 7 am and then I will head to Jeff's. Kenny told me I could stay overnight at his house but I feel more comfortable in my place. I need to get a pot roast started early in the slow cooker for my Christmas meal.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning, there's about an inch of snow on the ground, with a little frozen stuff under it. It's 20 now going to a high of 22, so I'm sure we're not going to feel much difference. The sun is coming out, so hopefully it will melt what's out there. I shoveled and swept off the top layer so the sun can get the frozen stuff.

Silly Tiger is still sleeping in the cellar window well. None of the snow reached her, so she stayed dry buried in the pile of leaves she's made a home in, lol

I did a thorough cleaning of my bedroom yesterday. Rotated the mattress (unlike @Snowysmom I didn't throw my back out doing it). dusted and vacuumed everything, washed the windows and curtains, and remade the bed. Then I cleaned both bathrooms and vacuumed and swiffered the floors. I was tired when it was done, but I don't have to do anything today.

Summer called me around 8 last night and asked me if I needed anything from the market before we got 2 days of snow. I don't know where she's getting her forecast, but the snow last night is supposed to be the only snow for at least the next 10 days. Temps will get to 50 a couple of days this week. It was nice of her to call and ask, not something she usually thinks of.

Have a good day

Woke up to snow this morning!

Like Lynn we will get to 50 this week so no stress, yet.

One thing I'm sure of, there are too many treats in this house! I am working hard to deplete them.

Good morning all

We got about 6" of snow overnight. Poor Chewie was not happy on her morning walk as the snow was up to her belly and she couldn't find any of her normal spots to go potty. Thankfully we do keep a pee pad down for her in the house as she is almost 12 and can't always hold her bladder overnight, I was getting ready to head out and shovel when my daughter texted me that as soon as she showered and had coffee she was bringing at least one of my grandsons over to shovel for me. I joked with Ben the other day that if they lived a little closer so that he could walk over I would pay him. I think he liked that idea.

Yesterday while running a few errands I saw a deer in a yard on a street very close to me. I knew we have a small creek and some wooded area but never realized we had deer in the woods. The yard has a 3 foot cyclone fence so I was watching the deer for a minute wondering how she got in the yard and then how would she get out. She hopped the fence, ran across the street and into the woods. Thankfully there were no cars coming as the road is not heavily traveled.

I bought a cast iron Dutch Oven I think it's called. Going to try and make a pot roast on the stove with it. I haven't done that in a long time. My husband's mother wasn't much of a cook, she made TV dinners all the time and boxed potatoes, but she did make this occasionally and he loved it. We shall see how things go. Funny story though, when we were dating my mom invited Jim to dinner. She made mashed potatoes. Jim loved them so he asked what kind they were and she handed him a potato. He was very confused as he had never seen a potato before and thought they all came out of a box. He only knew 3 vegetables - corn, peas and green beans as they came in frozen dinners. He had a lot to learn when we got married LOL.

Thought I would add a couple of pictures

Here is the deer

The snow is so pretty to look at that I feel like heading out to the park for pictures. I just don't feel like driving in it today as the buses are getting stuck on the roads around me. Thankfully we are warming up to the 50's by the end of the week.

Have a great day and if you have to shovel be careful.

Good morning. We got 1-2 inches of snow yesterday. I was able to get out to do errands once the roads were treated. Now it is 12 degrees with temps only heading to the low 20s today. It is supposed to be in the fifties on Friday. So crazy. I am feeling so much better with my aches. I don't believe rotating my mattress caused by shoulder, ab it of lower bank pain, and around the knee pain as I felt fine after doing that. The pain started once I got back to the condo after sitting on a very low couch hunched over a low table for 1 1/2 hours playing Sorry with the grandkids. It was after that the pain started. Luckily the lower back pain went away quickly. Next time I play a game with the grandkids we are using the big table and chairs. Yesterday I got some more Christmas stuff ready to go. Now I have the stockings to do and then pack up the gifts by family. Ellie texted me on Jeff's phone to let me know she got a part in the school show that is in May. She is very happy.

Off to work again. Have a nice day.

Good morning. Same weather as snowysmom, we got down to 12 overnite (felt like 5), and it's going to be 25 today. In the 50's Wed and Thursday.

Apparently that pile of leaves is very warm, as I found Tiger still curled up sound asleep in them this morning when I brought breakfast out to the cats. The winds were whipping last night and snow was blowing like it was a whiteout. Sun is coming out now, so it should start melting.

I had forgotten that I had a Walmart and post office delivery yesterday, so I went out early afternoon and shoveled the driveway. I didn't want cars pulling up and turning around and packing the snow down so it would freeze. I kept checking on the tracking for the post office. By dinnertime I figured they weren't coming until today, because it was dark and there are no streetlights on this long road. To my surprise I had to get bundled up to go across the street and get them out of the mailbox when I got a notification after 6 that they had been delivered. I have a big Chewy order coming today and 2 Amazon's on Wednesday, and that's the end of my shopping for the season.

I'm still feeling the effects of too much cleaning on Saturday and shoveling yesterday, so I'm taking it easy on my back and knees today.

Have a lovely Monday

Feel better dear Snowysmom and dear Lynn.

I am thankful to later this morning begin my second week of two daily therapy sessions. Consistency makes such a difference. God-willing, I will continue to build on my progress from last week.

I am also extra grateful today that a friend who is also an advocate will visit. Her friendship and support have been an incredible blessing as has that of my regular morning CNA who will be back today after a day off.

Of course seeing my beloved Dad will be such a humble grace, too.

Love to all. I will check back later.

@flyingdumbo127 I'm so glad to hear that you are progressing!

I will join the others who are having wonky weather- below is what we are expecing in Bangor thru Christmas:

It's crazy!
DD and I got a lot of shopping done on Saturday. DH will take me out againg sometime this week and then I'll be done. It's very weird to be so reliant on others, but until I see the eye surgeon on Wednesday for a follow up, I don't know what to expect. I am the person who does all the shopping, errand-running, and driving, so this is really strange for me right now. Oh well.. at least I don't have to go out in the cold weather (and it IS cold... sunny and clear = cold in the winter!) DH and I also put the Christmas tree up yesterday and got the lights on it. We carefully packaged up 7 strings of lights last year, coiled and in individual bags so they'd be ready for this year- but only ONE string is still working! Fortunately I buy lights whenever I can find them on sale, so we had enough "new" packages in the basement to decorate the tree. I never can figure out why christmas tree lights "die" over the year, when they aren't even in use!!

Everyone have a great day.!

Good chilly morning everyone.

Luckily the lower back pain went away quickly.
I get that when I lean over the tub to wash the dogs or spend time hunched over. So annoying, glad you were able to work the kinks out.
post office
Our mail has been wonky to say the least in the past week - neighbors are starting to ask around to see if anyone else is having issues. I'm trying to remember it's a busy time of year for the postal delivery folks and that whomever is scanning isn't necessarily the ones delivering and whatnot but it can be frustrating.
I am also extra grateful today that a friend who is also an advocate will visit
Glad to hear things are looking up. Did you get a install date for your new floors yet? Hopefully they'll have you out of there sooner rather than later.
DD and I got a lot of shopping done on Saturday.
We did some shopping on Sunday. I have to go out this coming weekend at some point but I'm *this close* to being done!

Got our tree yesterday, and got it up last night. Will decorate this evening.

The only thing I can think of is maybe storage conditions? - like massive temp swings or wonky humidity issues?

I've never looked it up, but maybe there are guidelines in the fine print or something.

Mona Glad you are getting PT that you need and are feeling stronger. Hopefully you can get home sooner. I hope the floors have been installed and will work out well for you.

Good morning. It is 18 here now with temps heading to the low 30s. I went to the gym yesterday as it was too cold and windy to walk outside. Today will be warmer so I hope to get outside to walk. We have a condo HOA meeting tonight which promises to be contentious. Between the rising condo fees and the lack of clear explanation why and other issues, it will be interesting. The trustees seem to think only they run the HOA and we should just be quiet. I do plan to leave if it gets into just arguing back and forth and if there is any nastiness. If they can't converse rationally and with good information then don't bother. Sometimes I wish I had bought a small house. The kids disagree with that but I am tired of feeling like I am dealing with Junior high school all over again. I didn't like it the first time.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Put bird seed out this morning and after 10 seconds or so the sparrows and finches were there. Cats were watching for a little bit but went back to sleep in comfy spots.
The birds here were all sitting in the bushes waiting for me. I could hear their chirping start as soon as they heard me scattering stale bread and filling the feeders. It's been too cold to even try putting water out for them.
