Well, I figured out I was at 90 days so I just applied for the CIP and got the popup. Womp womp.
From what I've read, the old rules are out the window with Chase for the most part, the pop-up will slow down the sign-ups.Well, I figured out I was at 90 days so I just applied for the CIP and got the popup. Womp womp.
Thanks for the info! Just sent my SM off. Fingers crossed!Quoting myself. Just got my missing support points!
After I replied back, the response was the info I needed to provide (name, e-mail or phone, last 4 of approved card, and full address). It took 10 days after I replied to that.
Just sent the SM for DH. Made sure to write that I know the link was used, it was approved, and it's been more than 8 weeks. Plus the info they asked for last time. Hoping it only takes 1 SM but guess we'll see!
Hopefully they slow down more than Chase would like them too and they loosen things up again. Who knows? One can dream. I guess I’m onto figuring out the Amex ecosystem. From what I've read, the old rules are out the window with Chase for the most part, the pop-up will slow down the sign-ups.
As much as I hate to type this, others will follow. I wouldnt be shocked to see it with everyone within the next 2 years every big bank adapt to this. The SUB might be something we talk about with non cc friends. I'm assuming that the system, whatever they mimic from each other, outweighs the calls/requests that come in, but who knows, your guess is as good as mine.Hopefully they slow down more than Chase would like them too and they loosen things up again. i have a long name deltasmashesitlikethis all the time,Question for people who fly United. Is it normal for the flight confirmation to squish your First and Middle name together as in Janemarie Smith - instead of Jane Marie Smith? The name is correct in the MileagePlus account but the squished name is on the confirmation email?
I have had that with Delta also.i have a long name deltasmashesitlikethis all the time,

Pretty sure the change has to be over 3 hours for JetBlue.so I was looking over my spring JEtblue flight and realized there was a time change of 1 hour 10 minutes later departing. Not a huge deal, but do they offer free change on same day like SWA does? I didn't even get notified... ( I am trying JB this year, and so far 100% unimpressed with their websites, policies etc)
I got mine from the SM I sent, this morning. Finally! Thanks for this. This fueled me to send an SM for mine, so we'll see what happens.
EIN working? Or no? I've never bothered to get one. I've been using my SSN for my photography business for years, I have a DBA and a business account w/ Chase since 2006. But I don't really do photography anymore. I'm thinking I need to pivot my "business" to tutoring, which I've been doing all year.Reading through the thread, seems like the Ink train is dead for SSN/sole prop (after 12/1). Very sad.
Side biz? I feel like I've been nothing but side gigs since retiring, LOL. Tutoring has been pretty lucrative for me. I had to raise my rates to $100/hr because I was getting too many inquiries. I've been selling on eBay as well w/ some luck. But the big one has been FB marketplace. We just have so much crap! I think I made $1600 in the garage sale this summer. And then started having my daughter list on FB marketplace. She seems to have better luck than I do. I have an Amazon Merch store that makes like $20/mo here and there selling tshirts I've designed. Oh and I have coloring books I've made on Amazon too, LOL.Anyone have a good side hustle for making extra cash? DD just got into her first choice college. Yay! The tuition is insane! Boo!
Your saga sounds like mine. Isn't AA 48 months not 24? I'm all about getting that FNC w/ Hilton. So that's normally my goal. I think this year is the first year I've actually done with with all spending (vs buying GCs here and there). I need to find another card for spending ASAP myself. I've debated the strata but I just don't know if I can get the use out of it. I guess w a/ triple dip I could.Popups for chase biz cards, no surprise there.
Tried the venture x pre-approval since I have had balances report due to all the gc deals lately. Still not approved but the reason was too many new cards in the last 24 and too many open cards overall, both for my income. Also something about loans, which I paid my student loan off last year and my mortgage a few years ago but both should still be hanging out as paid.
I only have 4 new personal cards in the last 2 years but I do have 2 cards I can cancel because I don't need them.
Though if I'm going to have to start using my cards due to lack of subs, maybe I should keep the citi custom cash to go with the strata. I could use it for groceries for the 5% each month. Or do I use the Surpass for most everything to try and get a fnc next year.
I have 5 amex cc so until I cancel one I'm stuck there. My last citi aa card hasn't passed the 2 years yet. I may try Alaska biz but I don't know.
I have to laugh. Because for me Delta has my name correct. But for the BF, who is the employee, they have it wrong, LOL. He's even explained numerous times. So all his tickets, and all his work stuff says JasonAndrew. Like it doesn't even put the space between them, LOL.I have had that with Delta also.

My DS also recently turned 18, and will graduate HS in May. He’s been an AU on our Amex cards since 2020, and already has an Experian credit score of over 750. With that being said he was approved for the Discover IT Student card. It did require him to have proof of college acceptance prior to approval. I know Discover isn’t universally accepted, but it’s an option.Hi everyone! We are back from Italy - had a wonderful time, it was my parents first time to Europe and they loved it, mom didn't want to leave. I love traveling outside North America over Thanksgiving break, no crowds and less expensive. I booked 9 nights, 3 hotel room for 230,000 URs, average was $127/night per room. Already trying to figure out where we'll go for Thanksgiving 2027 (going to skip next year since our summer trip to Norway will eat up a big chunk of our travel budget).
Credit card question, DD1 just turned 18, she graduates in May and has a one-way flight to Europe booked for the week after she graduates. She's planning on spending the summer backpacking in Europe, we'll book her return flight in the summer. Any experience with applying for BOA Travel Rewards for Students? DD has a part-time job, we are planning to pay for her expenses but want to get her started with her own card that has no AF an no FTF. Any other cards we should consider that meet those 2 requirements?
