TheNeverEndingPTR! Sept2010...no, November...WAIT! January?Ugh. maybe September 2011!

Oh and Savannah is going to be excited that you got pics of Jason Dolley. She likes him and a couple of the Disney movies he's been in!

On to our next day! BTW, I'm feeling like I should "clean up" my table of contents, maybe I don't need to have all my original itineraries listed in it. No one wants to read through all that, right? It's going to be way too much by the time we get through the next 6 months!

Karen,

are you planning on the GAD FP's to be worth 3 of each catagory ie Daisy and Donald?

Yes, everyone who has reported back about GAD say that you get 3 rides per grouping, so 6 FP's total, 3 from each group (Donald & Daisy) :goodvibes

Well, this morning I had decided that the trip was just not going to happen. Rey said that he would try to find a way but that he would feel irresponsible taking a vacation this year with the financial issues we've had so far and I just couldn't fathom going without him (not b/c I can't go on vacation without him, but b/c I would feel bad that he wasn't going b/c of money but I was)...so I had a good cry and decided that I needed to live in the here and now and focus on all the wonderful things I have in my life...

and Rey called an hour later to say we are getitng a tax return!!! :cool1: Now, it's just probably going to get us caught up where we need to be, there won't be any extra for the trip, but it did give me hope and I won't cancel the trip just yet! If I can get a lot of petsitting clients this spring/summer, I may be able to pay for the majority of the trip and then maybe we can go. Where's that praying smiley?!?!? :goodvibes

Tomorrow is my birthday and Hope & our other friend, being the wonderful friends they are, purchased tickets for me and the kids to go to the opening of Alice in Wonderland!!! So, I'm going to try and relax and enjoy the day and not worry about money or trips. I have a great life AND...the sun was out today! I'm going to try to live a little more in the moment, b/c that's all we really have anyway, right?!?!?

Sheesh, I really can ramble about anything!

Thanks for the info Karen......

Oh, I was sorry to hear that you cried! We are all here to listen to you ramble, as I've said before. Just know that this won't be your last chance to go to WDW! So, if it isn't possible this time, it will be later. Really. I know that's not an easy concept, but it's so true! :)

Thanks Ann, I think planning this trip has kept me sane this winter, I have some real seasonal depression and it was worse this winter b/c of Rey being laid off for a month. With spring coming I felt this morning like I just had to snap out of it and live more in the moment!

I'll be disappointed if we don't do this trip, I would miss out on being there when Hope is there and not using our GAD vouchers, but it won't be the end of the world. For now I have a little hope that we may still pull it off, but I'm also feeling a little more realistic about it and things will be ok if we have to postpone as well.

The sun was out today, I think I even got a little sunburned! It did wonders for my spirit to be outside in the fresh air and sun though! I can't WAIT for spring to officially be here!!! :flower3:

Karen, I think you have a great attitude. I hope the trip can happen, too! If the updates are depressing or if it's crashing your PTR, let me know. I won't post until I hear from you.

Here's hoping you get to experience the Disney magic in a few months, and here's to a very happy birthday tomorrow! :)

Oh no, not upsetting me at all! I really do still feel the Disney magic when I see someone enjoying it and I've been waiting for your update!!! :lovestruc

Today we slept in! It was a much needed experience! We usually get up around 7:30 and head out around 8:15. Today I couldn't get moving until 9ish, so I got up, showered, and we left the room around 9:45ish. We had fun being silly, making up stupid words in the room and just generally having a slow morning. It was nice not to stress that the lines were building at the park.

The hotel from the bus stop.

We headed to Animal Kingdom and rode our favorite rides - twice on Everest by 11:30. Next was Dinosaur, which was scary since it stopped temporarily by the terrifying dinosaur where they take your picture. Then we saw Divine in Harambe village; I'd never seen her here before (usually see her on the bridge between Asia and Africa where the Photopass guy waits to get your picture in front of the Tree of Life.

We went to get lunch at Pizzafari. I remarked to my sister that it was such a relaxing day! It was only about 59 again, so the park was pretty light in terms of crowds. We were able to wander, meander, stroll, and every other non-hurried verb you can think of!

We went on KS and saw lots of animals, thanks to the cooler temperatures.

This guy was feeding the birds as we drove by.

I'd never seen the hippos out of the water before!

My favorites!

The elephants were in clear view today, even the babies!

Our driver was great - probably the best we'd ever had on the ride in 10 years of Disney trips! Very into it but also joked a lot and seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. I asked to get her picture!

On the way out, the sun was hitting right, so I got a good picture of the ToL.

We came back to the room this afternoon and got some shots of the water in front of the Boardwalk (what's that lake called)?
IMG_5238.jpg

This is a chair in the lobby. Miss hates it; it is kind of creepy!

I wanted to go to the pool so we can say we swam this trip. We started in the hot tub, got in the pool for a while, and then back in the hot tub. We were only out there about 20 minutes, but it was worth it to me!

Notice the lifeguard all bundled up?

I figured I'd try to stay warm after getting in the pool. Clearly my pool cover-up was doing the trick! ;)

Now we're resting in the room before we head out to dinner. It's been a great day; Disney this time of year, while cold, is so nice because of the low crowds and the leisurely pace! Tonight we're headed to Cape May Clam Bake. I've wanted to try it for a while, so it should be good!

Tomorrow is Magic Kingdom and Teppan Edo for dinner - yum!

Your day looks lovely! I've never heard of Devine being there either, she was on the path between Asia and Africa when we saw her in 2008! Brrrr! I think it almost hit 50 here today, so it's hard to imagine it that chilly in Florida! I'm glad you got to hit the pool, even for a little bit! In fact, IF (and that's a big IF, I won't give up hope just yet!) we have to postpone our trip, I will probably try to reschedule it for the time that Rey & I were going to do our Anniversary trip at the end of Jan or end of Feb (depending on the rates). Either way, I'll have to be prepared for cooler temps...but the low crowds sound great!!!

Did you decide on dinner tonight? Can't wait to hear about it. :)

Oh and I forgot to tell you that while looking at pics of Boardwalk a few weeks ago, Rey spotted a pic of one of those chairs and LOVED IT! He said he wanted one for the house!

My husband truly is a freak of nature. :p

Forget the chair that giant clown at the pool would give me nightmares! YIKES!

Love the pics, especially the elephant and baby!! They are my faves. :goodvibes

I remember the first time I saw hippos out of the water and just being SHOCKED at their size. You got some great animal shots!

The animal shots ARE amazing, they are really hard to get with how bumpy the Safari is!!!

We came back to the room this afternoon and got some shots of the water in front of the Boardwalk (what's that lake called)?

It's Crescent Lake. :lovestruc

I think both the chair and the clown are FREAKY!!! First of all I can see it now, the clown comes to life and chomps down on my legs!!! Blood in the pool everywhere......and then that chair with the man's face and woman's body.....well, that's just wrong!!! Ok....I think I need some sleep. :rolleyes1

hang in there Karen!! Just remember, you have 6 months. You have time before final payment is due. :grouphug:

Happy birthday! :flower3:

Sorry to hear that you were really upset yesterday. September is a long time off, and you'll have plenty of time to save. Just keep planning, it will keep you happy! We're planning trips we might not be able to afford or go on as well, planning is fun!

I'm loving the TR in a PTR. Big time saver, two for one! I too, think the clown and the chair are really creepy. REALLY creepy. Just crossed boardwalk off my "we should stay there" list, in fact. That clown is terrifying, and I'm not usually scared of clowns! :scared1:

Hope your birthday was great and took your mind off your worries!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes! I have spent nearly the whole day outside, it's 55 degrees and sunny and I have a little sunburn! :goodvibes I dug in my garden, cleaned it all up, and planted lettuce and kale! I drug myself back in for a shower and sat out on the deck after getting ready for the movie. We'll be heading out soon to meet Hope & our friend Summer at the movies to see Alice! I've got my shirt on and I'll probably wear my hat as well. You only live once, right? ;)

Have a very Happy "Un-Birthday" Karen!!!!!!! (I know I am such a dork :rotfl2:)

I hope you guys are having a great time at the Alice in Wonderland movie!!!
