TheNeverEndingPTR! Sept2010...no, November...WAIT! January?Ugh. maybe September 2011!

We had our movie day today, although we cheated and didn't do a Disney movie! *gasp*!!!!!!!!!!

The kids wanted to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and when we realized it wasn't Disney, we decided to do it anyway! ;) I'm sorry to say you will get nothing in pictures like last weeks mad tea party. It's hard to top that movie day photography wise!

We decided that since it wasn't actually CLOUDY and it was sunny that we could have our meal outdoors! We set everything up outside! I found tons of stuff for the activity books and Hope brought spaghetti to make, pizza, and green jello!

There was a bee flying around and Savannah was not going to share her food with it!

That's it! Sorry there aren't more pics, I did post one more on our 365 Challenge blog, but I was focused on getting that shot more and Jace and Kya made all kinds of funny faces at me today, so I don't have any of them! (or not any they would like me posting!)

If you missed it, the blog is here:

I'm glad I can help Karen :)- after all, isn't that what all of us DIS buddies are for, to keep the magic alive in other peoples lives :wizard:?
I was reading your reply to mine and I immediately thought of something that might just be able to change Rey's mind. What if you compromised your Anniversary trip with this trip (with the kids along to enjoy), maybe he may not feel as bad. He sounds like he is a real hard worker and provider for you and your family- and that is just awesome. And anyway, if you plan to fund your trip without him with your petsitting money, he would only have to make up the difference for an extra standard room and his ticket rather than the whole trip. The good thing about Disney is that it can slowly be paid off (sad but true, this is how half of us get to go- including myself :lmao:).

By the way, those pics on your blog are gorgeous!!!!!!!

Thanks Janine!! I don't think Rey would be willing to compromise the Anniversary trip. We've never taken a trip together in the 20 years we've been together, so we are both really looking forward to it. I think in his mind, he just needs more TIME to get us financially where he would like us to be to go on a big family trip like this. AND, unfortunately, the cost of him going MORE than doubles the price b/c it makes us five and we have to get a suite or 2 rooms.

I'm sorry you're struggling with finances Karen. We have discussions all the time about the cost of vacation. I'm really trying to pay a little at a time so I know it'll be paid in advance! It's hard because unexpected expenses seem to crop up and we can't plan for everything.
I'm pulling for you!

Amanda

Hey Amanda! I'm still reading through your PTR, trying to catch up! Both your upcoming trips sound great!

Well, Karen, perhaps you could convince a friend or friends to go with you and your children. Splitting the cost of driving and of the family suite would save you some moolah and perhaps you wouldn't have to cut out a day. :confused3 I have it on good authority that you are quite good at talking people into things. :rotfl: :upsidedow

You are funny! ;)

I do not want you to feel like you have to go in any way, or like if you don't go, we won't go. The savings in gas wouldn't make or break the trip and the price of a regular room for the 4 of us would be the same as splitting with you. But, having friends along would be a bonus! :goodvibes

For those of you that don't have some sort of superpower to figure out what is going on...

Crazyforgoofy is the one who started ALL of this. She took Savannah & I to WDW in Sept. 2008 and I've been hooked ever since. She has been over 20 times and is considering going with us (with her dd, who is friends with Savannah) and sharing the family suite with us.

The only thing I'm concerned about is a little statement I remember you making back in Sept. 2008. Remember when you were dripping with sweat, standing in the sun, and said..."Never again in September, never again!" Ok, I'm paraphrasing, but it was something along the lines of never again in this heat!

I must have super-duper powers since I knew exactly what was going on. :rotfl:

Yep, my pusher has a pusher. :lmao:

I hope you realize that I will have to post many incriminating pictures of you M.A. if you decide to go! I will await your approval, but I have a couple from our first trip that I will post if you let me! Promise none of them are shots pool-side drinking margarita's! I was too tipsy to get the camera.

:eek:If you plan to post incriminating photos of me, dearie, then I for sure won't go. I am camera shy and you know it! :guilty:

The psychological term for that is transference - You're the one who was bitc...., er I mean fussing about the heat and humidity, remember, sweetpea. I LOVE it hot and humid. :woohoo:

My reluctance to sign on for this little excursion is caused by the following: 1) G-man and I are planning a 25th anniversary trip somewhere next January (just think, 25 years and neither one of is dead or in jail - and they said it wouldn't last, ha!) which has to be financed and, 2) we have the big family gathering this summer to fund as well (Six grown children and their families/significant others) though it will be a local thing apparently. And then there's 3) I've been to MNSSHP at least four times which means I've done WDW in autumn. I like the F&W festival but it makes the crowds much larger than at other times of the year.

But I'm still considering it. Kare needs someone to hold her Starbucks cup!

What?? I don't remember this at all! :rolleyes1 It was my first trip, cut me some slack, I had no idea what to expect!

How about non-incriminating pics? No pics at all you mean?!?!?!? M.A., do you know who you are talking to? That's like telling a monkey no bananas. :p

How about the girl, can I post a couple pics of her and Savannah from the 2008 trip? :lovestruc

Did YOU ever have a pusher M.A.??? You should share your story on how you got hooked on WDW.

I do NOT want to meet the person who was able to push MA into anything. :scared1:

I just figured she was running the cartel, maybe answering to The Mouse but who know- he might be answering to her. :lmao:

:snooty: So you think I belong to a South Floridian Mickey cartel, eh? :lmao:

This is the funniest thing I've read all day. :lmao:

I'm going to use it on DH. He's started discussing taking unpaid vacation for another disney trip, and I told him we're going plenty during his paid vacation and when he starts taking unpaid days from work that's when you can tell he has a "disney problem".

It's OFFICIAL! The leader of the South Floridian Mickey Cartel has agreed to join us on our trip! :woohoo:

Since Rey couldn't come, I decided to see if the one that started all this would like to revisit the house of mouse with us! Obviously I didn't completely piss her off on our last trip or she wouldn't even consider going again, right? (or she has a poor memory!) :p

M.A. has been to WDW over 20 times and is the reason you are reading this PTR. I had never really even considered going to WDW before I met her. I knew nothing of it and she made me a believer!

Savannah & I went with M.A. and her daughter to WDW in Sept. of 2008 for homeschool days. We had a great time, she let me choose our days (she sent me here first for research) and we went until I didn't think I go anymore. I think my 2nd trip I was more prepared b/c I knew what to expect. I'm afraid I was a bit of a whiney baby when my legs started to hurt and I was hot! Again, I must not have been too bad or she wouldn't be going with us this time, right?!?!

Here's a pic of the girls our first night:

M.A. and I had a few drinks on this trip...Margarita's just taste better at WDW! ;)

So, we went from 6 to 5 to 4 and now we are back to 6!
