I screwed up today.... I'm used to doing guild runs, where you can roll for offspec. I did that in Halls of Origination, and I got slammed for doing so. Apparently my guild is not like the rest of WoW. I ended up with a 333 tank pc.

Guild runs are different because youre all gearing each other. From a PuG perspective

Main spec rolls need only

BOE are always a need roll no matter class (unless it betters the main spec now)

If the main spec chooses not to roll on item, ask group if you can need for off spec

You can always give the piece to the main spec if you needed incorrectly

Just wanted to share a story of Karma

My main PvP toon is a Sub Rogue. Been sub rogue from day 1 and love the spec.

I was in WSG and fighting a holy pally. It was a good fight, and I barely beat him. I had about 1.5k health left. Before combat dropped, an Orc Lock dotted be then bolted me, killing me.

No big deal right? Except, he came over, danced on me, /spit on me, teabagged me etc. Okay, I get it, Locks hate rogues. I understand, we are the X class to locks. However, this lock was acting like he just pwnd me when the holy pally did 99% of the work. His overzealous celebration earned a little retribution.

I changed my game tactics from winning, to humiliating this lock. I chased him around and rocked him over and over and over and over. A couple times, I sap/peeled him from groups. Other times, I ambushed him in the middle of a bunch of horde.

In each case I dances/spit/teabagged him. In fact, After killing him, while the horde was roflstomping me, I would ignore the other attacks and celebrate on him.

I solo'd him 14 times in that BG.

5 minutes later, a Lvl 1 sends me a whisper

"Im reporting you for harassment"

I tried to respond but I was on ignore.

Even though we lost the WSG, I felt like I left with a win.

That is awesome..I have been in this situation before, but in world PVP..which I normally do not engage in. I am not a huge PVP fan overall for this very reason

Last night DH and I worked on our rogues. We are both female orc's, and look exactly alike..which is a hit on the dungeon runs we go on..and confuses people when we PVP. I am Combat, he is Sub. When I can duel spec, I will spec into Sub for PVP purposes. We both dinged 26 last night..they are just a lot of fun

dngnb8, I get pwned in pvp, I'm really, really bad at it. I play on sat internet, so I have some lag issues which means I'm normally stunned and half dead before I realize what's going on. Add in the pvp gear everyone is wearing and I die just looking at my BG queue.

dngnb8, Good for you!! If more people did that to that person, they wouldn't act like that after a kill. That or they are just idiots that should not be allowed to reproduce.

GRATS!!! My Ally guild is a lvl 25, but sadly I am just Honored with them. That means no Armadillo pet (and I'm pet obsessed) and no mount. My Horde guild is only a 2, I think. From what I've been told, they are rebuilding the guild. At least it has a cute name though...Omega Bunnies.

Oh a good note...my belf finally made it to 40!! My DH and I went to Undercity to get mounts. I actually like my undead mount better than my sparkle pony (the one from the Blizzard store). It looks so stinking sweet when I'm in shadow form.

Im in full bloodthirsty gear, but I gemmed for all resilience so my res is almost to Arena gear.

Funny thing was, during WoLK my resilience was well above the cap. People would LOL me because crit was capped at 33% reduction. But it was a soft cap. Above the 1200 still reduced dots. Now you can see why Locks and Spriests hated me. Anyone who relied on DOT DOT DEATH didnt do very well against me.

PvP success is a 3 legged stool. Spec, Player, Gear. If you lack a bit in 1, you can make it up in another. Been a PvP sub rogue from day 1. I dont FOTM spec him for pvp. Sub is very hard to kill anything right now. There is no burst to speak off and there never was stun lock for a geared opponent.

If you play it correct, you should own casters. Garrotte silence is key (Glyph this for pvp). Forget Ambush and Cheap Shot, theyre a total waste once you hit 80. Use your ShD to add garrotte and reapply it before your ShD ends. This is a silence, and that makes it really tough on them. Dont ever use ShS as an opener. Always use it as anti-kite. In fact, when I fight a lock, I let them death coil and fear me. I trinket the fear and ShS back to them. At that point, the DRs on their CC are nothing. They die pretty quick.

If the have a Succubus, blind it not the lock. That is all she wrote baybee.

Wow! I went and logged onto my 80 Horde SPriest. I expected to be guildless, but nope; the GM said I was unbootable.... How about that? It's been well over a year since I played him. And I am CLUELESS.... I had to respec it has been so long.... but I dropped shadow and went Holy / Disc ..... not that I know anything about those trees.

I was also surprised how many folks remembered me, and were happy to have me back.

I am a lock and I dont have any luck in BG's... I seem to get pwned by everyone... but I havent been in once since like lvl 70.

I do want to raid sometime..... My guild isn't ready for raiding yet though. How do I get into a Random raid? I have never raided before, but am a lvl 83 demonology lock with a good ilvl and GS....

I was getting my **** handed to me last night in WSG...we were in the 25-29 bracket, and the ally had 4 priests running around..meaning EVERYONE was bubbled, and impossible to kill, then you would start fighting, and get feared...It was not a pretty scene..
