Aimee, porcini powder on steak is my cooking secret!
We went to my inlaws today for Easter. It was my sister in law's birthday also so she picked the menu, and she wanted Chinese food. UGH. They only like the pupu stuff--you know, the fried appetizers? It's just too much of a belly bomb for me! But, I learned years ago not to rock the boat over food while visiting the inlaws, so I ate it, and now I am suffering. Oh well.
The good news for me is that we stopped at my favorite farmstand n the way out and now I have lots of beautiful fresh vegetables to eat this week.
I don't know why fried Chinese food bothers me so much--it's not like I cook low fat food all of the time at home! But it really does kill my stomach.
