The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

Commercially it makes the most sense to open before Thanksgiving. That way they can test it out beforehand with soft openings and iron out any bugs and then keep the cash rolling in during one of their busiest peak periods. Disney is all about $$$! Unless there's a reason related to delayed construction (it looks pretty ready this far out doesn't it? but who knows the technical details). If there is delayed construction I imagine they'd be some very very grumpy Disney execs.

But I can't logically see it opening after Thanksgiving and missing out on that extra injection of cash. None of us know any specifics so it's pure uneducated speculation

I fully agree and this is the one thing keeping me highly optimistic in all of this recent late November info. Lodging rates shift to Thanksgiving pricing for the vals and mods on Nov 17 and the deluxes make the pricing shift on the 19th. I can't see them missing out on something so huge from a profit standpoint.

I have to agree as well. I think they are leaving it vague in case something goes terribly wrong with the full intent to open before Thanksgiving. This is a total hunch but makes to much sense.

What is certain is that you cannot take anything you are told by the phone agents as the actual opening time. You will need to wait until Disney actually releases the public opening date.
If they don't believe the restaurant is ready for the public at Thanksgiving it will not open at Thanksgiving.

After reading the last few pages, I'm definitely optimistic it will be open for December ADRs. The big issue will be availability, as not only vacationing guests want to eat there, locals do as well.....here's hopingI have a plan A in place, but would sure love to get in as a surprise Plan B for the family

For so long now I've been hoping for at least a soft opening of BOG by mid Oct. When I made my ADRs ages ago the CM said to keep an eye on these type boards because they seem to get the info first. But she seemed to think there was a good chance of an opening by then. Of course any thing can happen over time.
It would be so awesome to have at least the CS part open with a chance to use the seating in the dining area. (ballroom, etc.)
No matter what, it will be cool to see the new areas and I am still hoping for LM to open by our trip.

I am going December 8th -16th so i am hoping it will be open by then. Jus in case it is i have not made any dinner ADR's yet which makes me twitch but its all good

I don't believe that nov dates list a page back. I have heard from so many "CM's in the Know" different dates. I don't think it will open after Thanksgiving at all. I do think they are aiming for Oct, but waiting to see how contruction is going before they announce it.

I believe they will open in October. With the hustle and bustle of the holidays, and the crowds that will be there, they are going to want it open ASAP.

We are going on thanksgiving day! As excited as I am, the menu scares me a bit. I'm thinking lunch may be best right now. I just want to see the inside and feel the magic of the place.

Maybe.

It wouldn't surprise me to see one set of CM previews for a specific meal (say, dinner)...and then have the restaurant open ONLY for that meal.

Then, have separate CM preview for the other meal (say, lunch) and have the restaurant open for THAT meal, afterwards.

i also think for october, my sister is going for halloween, and the cm said she will deff be happy that it will be open, she said after they announce the adr date it will open around 30 days after the same as all their other grand openings

So we're pretty much thinking that the "leaked" August 4th date isn't true, right? It just occurred to me that I'll still be at our Relay for Life event since I always stay all night for it and I won't be home when normal ADR reservation lines are open. Oh, boy.......

The August 4th date wasn't a "leak". It was a miscommunication and has since been corrected to "late August". FLE stuff has been coming out in the Disney Parks Blog every Tuesday, so maybe tomorrow will shed some light on some actual dates. A girl can dream, right?

I was just on the phone making and adjusting some ADR's and the agent said, they are looking to start booking by the end of August. And that it's only one table credit and one quick service credit. She said to like Disney World on Facebook they're suppose to announce it! Super excited to eat here!

My sister and her family who are at WDW now were given a free dessert from the new Be Our Guest Restaurant during the evening extra magic hours on Saturday night at MK. She sent me a picture on facebook. I will try to download it and then upload it to photobucket to post here.

Here is how it happened:

A CM stopped and asked if she could tell them a story. The CM said that Belle was trying new desserts in the kitchen, but was too full to eat anymore and hoped they could help Belle out by trying the dessert. Then another CM walked up and uncovered the huge ice cream creation.

It had chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream. A brownie, a chocolate chip cookie, strawberry shortcake, and 2 ice cream cones, and topped with whipped cream.
