Beer survival package

I think Disney only has a 6 pack option. No cooler.

“If you want a beer package, the options are slightly more limited than the wine offerings. You can choose from seven different beers, including Blue Moon, Corona and Budweiser, and each comes in a six-pack for the price of five beers at $36.25”

I'm going to be that guy from every Disboards thread ever who answers a question that wasn't asked (sorry), but I'm a big fan of the souvenir mug program if you haven't already considered that. It will give you a lot more options for your selection, while still saving money on beers (and if you keep the token instead of exchanging it for the mug you can use it on your next cruise). Unless you really like the offerings in the package, or you want to have bottles available without leaving the room. Sorry again to hijack the thread, just wanted you to have all the options before you decided.

My husband is a big fan of the souvenir mug program also.

I looked into the mug. I was a little shy on that option for a few reasons.
1. Not sure if we are going to go on another Disney cruise again so the beer mug might not pay for itself. We have always gone on RC but thought we would give Disney a try. We are DVC members and go to WDW a lot, we enjoy Disney so we want to try out their cruises but may find it just isn't worth it to us.
2. Both my husband and I have a daily beer limit before we feel bloated and have to switch to a G&T or something similar. I can easily predict how many beers we will need for the length of our cruise.
3. The beer they sell in these survival packs appear to be 16oz resealable cans which seem very appealing to have next to the pool.
4. I had heard you could use the mug program from cruise to cruise but then I saw on the website that it is only for that particular cruise so I thought that they may have changed it. So even if we did go on another Disney cruise, we have to buy another mug....or is that what they say, just like popcorn buckets at the parks are not supposed to be refillable for future trips.

All totally valid reasons. I will say it's always been "just for the current cruise" policy, but the tokens are identical across the fleet. The only time I heard of an issue is during the Wish inaugural season when the design changed. Even then, you could often just take the token to a different bar and the bartender there would swap you out. The tokens are just little paper cards so you get a new one after every drink. I've used the same purchase on 4 cruises so far (and taking my token on the Wish in 20 days) and I don't personally have any worries, but of course you should do what you're comfortable with. Hope this helps you decide.

I only saw a 6 pack version that you can order precruise on the website but on several vlogs I have seen the option to order a 6, 12, or 24 pack at the various bars.
