Commercially it makes the most sense to open before Thanksgiving. That way they can test it out beforehand with soft openings and iron out any bugs and then keep the cash rolling in during one of their busiest peak periods. Disney is all about $$$! Unless there's a reason related to delayed construction (it looks pretty ready this far out doesn't it? but who knows the technical details). If there is delayed construction I imagine they'd be some very very grumpy Disney execs.
But I can't logically see it opening after Thanksgiving and missing out on that extra injection of cash. None of us know any specifics so it's pure uneducated speculation![]()
I fully agree and this is the one thing keeping me highly optimistic in all of this recent late November info. Lodging rates shift to Thanksgiving pricing for the vals and mods on Nov 17 and the deluxes make the pricing shift on the 19th. I can't see them missing out on something so huge from a profit standpoint.
