This is the first I have heard about these dates. Guess that means that Thanksgiving is not part of "Holidays 2012" then. This is going to disappoint a LOT of people.

That is a bummer. I was expecting Thanksgiving for sure. It's still early. If things go well, they may move up CM previews. The sooner they get paying customers in, the more money they'll make! Thanksgiving is an extremely busy time at WDW so there is lots of money to be made. I can't see them opening up the FLE without BOG ready. If there is a push to get the FLE open, BOG will be with it.

Do those dates necessarily rule out a soft open prior to and around those dates? I wonder how they've timed all of that on recent restaurant openings. It seems to me that the entire expansion would have to be open for them to even be in soft open.

Aw I am so bummed!! We just booked a quick trip back for Thanksgiving and the main reason was to try out BOG.

Hmmmm- this is in line with something I saw on another site...basically saying that the opening to the public will be in late November. I guess unless there's a soft opening...we'll probably have to wait until a future trip to try it. Just hard to stomach that it sounds like we'll be missing the official opening by about 6 days.

We arrive on the 28th also and I was hopeing to eat there the night we go to MVMCP which is still up in the air waiting on BOG. Fingers crossed but losing hope now

This is starting to sound like the speculations around the new iPhone. Maybe Disney is taking a page from Apple.

i also spoke to a cm today and they said adr will be open sometime in august and usally open 30 days after that and their pushing to be open by thanksgiving, why would they do adr so early then, im hoping for its open for my trip nov24-29 if not i willbe changing to mid december

Commercially it makes the most sense to open before Thanksgiving. That way they can test it out beforehand with soft openings and iron out any bugs and then keep the cash rolling in during one of their busiest peak periods. Disney is all about $$$! Unless there's a reason related to delayed construction (it looks pretty ready this far out doesn't it? but who knows the technical details). If there is delayed construction I imagine they'd be some very very grumpy Disney execs.

But I can't logically see it opening after Thanksgiving and missing out on that extra injection of cash. None of us know any specifics so it's pure uneducated speculation

Haven't read through the whole thread, it's way too long. Just wanted to add myself to those who are waiting rather impatiently for an opening date announcement. We're going Nov. 8-16 and I would love to try it out. Don't even mind if I can't get dinner ADRs, I'd be happy to just try the lunch CS. Call me crazy, but the menu for lunch sounds better to me than dinner.
