The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

Tomorrow is ball shaving day. He goes in on Thursday. :guilty: No more babies for Megan.

:eek: Ball shaving?? OMG!!! :lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

 It's hard to close that chapter of your life. As women, we have a unique power to grow life and bring it into the world. As mom, we are the center of our children's universe.. and that never stops. My babies are teenagers, but they are and will always be my precious bundles of joy. :flower3::lovestruc

I have a Prozac prescription, but it doesn't seem to be working. :scared1: Both were generic versions of Prozac, but I'm wondering if perhaps one generic worked better for me then the other??:confused3

Bernice, this will explain Street Rat Crazy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUYhcYw1ksw

Oh and let's not forget the fun part. About a month or so from now when you have to take a "sample" in to the doctor's office for testing.:rotfl2: I dropped DH's off at the doctor's on my way to work...all I kept thinking is please don't let me get in a wreck and they find this specimen bottle in my coat pocket.:rotfl:

hmm, when Ambien went generic lots of people posted on websites that certain brands of the generic did not work. I didn't believe it.. then dh's pharmacy switched brands.. it stopped working for him! Generics are suppose to be the same drug/ same effect.. but there are certain meds that you should never take the generic (Immunosuppressants post transplant, Lanoxin (Digoxin) because of less quality control of the product makes for potential danger to the patient.

That video was funny and creepy too! We don't have Jack in the Box here.

Ah yes.. the sample , E tucked his into his coat next to his body (it was winter). Imagining the "what if" and giggling over how he would explain the need to keep it warm did come to mind. :lmao:
I always feel odd dropping off E's blood samples box to be sent via Fed Ex. Our neighbors ask us what are you doing??
uhhh sending a box of blood to Florida...
uhh okay?? Why???
:confused3 It's just what we have to do.

But it does freak people out to know that blood (and other bodily fluids) are being shipped everyday. We had to do some training and get certified to ship blood, I thought that was funny considering all I do is stick it in a box with a cold pack. :lmao:

Yup.. its ball shaving day here at the Staley house. Do you think I will have t help him?:scared1::lmao: i hope not!

I think I am having the hardest time knowing that this is the end for me. I have spent the last seven years having babies, and taking care of babies. Its all I know how to do! I have a big NOW WHAT thing going on in my brain. I knew I wouldnt be having babies forever.. I dont know. Im sad.. But not AS sad as I was. I think it seems especially hard for me with all I went through to have the twins. But hey.. we got a two for one deal on that one! Lucky us!!

I remember DH being a bit freaked out by the shaving thing. I did NOT volunteer to come help...hey it's good to know I draw the line somewhere!:rotfl:

NOW WHAT?? Sista, you are going to be asking that question over and over again for the next 20 years or so.

Too funny, our sample was done in the winter also. We were supposed to take a second sample in also, but the first one had zero. So we never bothered with the second one. So far, so good.:thumbsup2

Hmmm....I may call Kaiser and ask what generic they used. Generic Prozac is very cheap, it's on everyone's $4 list. I know a lot of the bc ladies use Effexor, buy my onc said try the cheaper stuff first and we'll work our way up if it doesn't work. Luckily, the Kaiser generic worked!:thumbsup2 I guess if I can't find it, then I'll see if my doc can give me a prescription for Effexor. I can't even use the "natural" remedies that you buy over the counter. They contain soy estrogen and estrogen in bc survivors is not recommended. As my doctor said, giving hormones (soy or synthetic) is like throwing fuel on a fire. I can eat soy in moderation, but even eating a lot of soy is not recommended.

Seriously though I feel like the lady on that commercial. I'm all bubbly and cheerful outside, but inside I feel street rat crazy when I start getting the hot flashes. I feel like I want to just run down the street, stripping off all my clothes and jump into a vat of ice water. I'm even thinking of buying a big upright freezer for the garage, because our little freezer above the fridge only cools my face down. It's so weird, like an hour of totally normal and then 2 minutes of sheer Street Rat Crazy Hot Flashes. There have been a few ladies that went thru chemopause, became normal again, then eventually go thru menopause. Every one of them says the chemopause is way worse, like menopause times 100.

The last time I was having bad hot flashes a few months ago, I was also grumpy. This time I'm just having the forgetfulness and way worse hot flashes, but no grumpiness.

SIGH....but this too shall pass....eventually!

NOW WHAT

That's where I am now, I need a job.. but not sure what and where.
I got burned out the last time I worked in a childcare, crappy center and I picked up bad techniques instead of letting my own skills shine and grow. Hard to grow when the person you work with didn't put forth any effort in the work day. And the director was also the owner -- not wanting to put much back into the center. Basically warehousing kids for 8 hours a day-- yeah.

Hola ladies!!

Megan, I know how you feel about the baby thing. But your decision is good, and you have a wonderful family. Hope Frelan is good and is taking things easy.

Bernice, That is wierd sending blood in the mail. Sounds vampiresty!

Alison, Your hot flashes sound really bad. Poor thing. I have never really had a hot flash. I've had night sweats, and sleeplessnish. I've also worn a low dose patch for the last few years, and I think that has helped. I hope you can get some relief somehow!!

Hi Melody! How are things going in your neck of the woods? Whatcha been up to lately??

Hey guys...today's not going so hot...hopefully it gets better...

:hug:Sorry you're having a bad day. But look on the bright side, it's almost the weekend!:dance3:

Speaking of sending bodily fluids in the mail, we have an OB/GYN a few doors down in our office building. Every afternoon they have their metal "lab" boxes sitting out in the hallway ready for pickup. It sort of grosses me out that I have to walk past those things to get to the restroom on our floor. I always circle wide, hold my breath and rush past them. Guess I'm afraid of picking up some STD or something from breathing the air near them!:rotfl2:

I also have to laugh at the note on them..."contains lab specimens only, no items of value contained in this box". You know, if a person really did want to leave a valuable outside, that would be a perfect hiding place. Nobody in their right mind would open up an OB/GYN lab specimen box.:lmao:

okay.. so they canceled hubbies thing today. Talk about being pissed the crap off! He was all ready, all psyched up.. everything. We there, and they took him back.. told him to come back next week.

Bummer! That sucks. Now he know's how we feel getting all psyched out to go to the hospital and have a baby, then get sent home.

All I've got to say is be careful this week....be very, very careful! You know this is how accident's happen.:lmao: And we don't want to be watching you on some TLC reality show next year.:lmao:

What the heck?? That's sloppy scheduling on their part.

You must be watching those "I didn't know I was pregnant" shows. I know it happens, but it still amazes me that you wouldn't know.. I was ginormous both times. My sis got thru 5 months before she figured it out with her middle child. It was good because then she was past the scary beginning months, she had several miscarriages and another sad event before that pregnancy.

I'm sorry ladies but I have no idea how you have one baby let alone 2 or 3 or 4. I had some epic period cramps yesterday that had me on the floor feeling I was being stabbed on the inside. If having a baby will be WORSE than that, NO THANK YOU! I'll just play with all your babies and be glad my cramps only last a few seconds.

Bah... Having a baby doesnt hurt. Thats what having an epidural if for!

Ugh, over the last few months I've gotten all my past due dealer accounts caught up. When I started we had dealers that were tens of thousands of dollars over due and many, many who were 120+ days past due. Now I've got $31.80 that's 60 days past due and $2,242.47 in the 30 day range. That's it. And do you think that I get told good job or anything, nope the VP say now you need to get the 30 days caught up...um...hello, some of the dealers can never be current because by the time the dealer sends the invoice to the corporate office and then they process it and cut a check is been 30 days.

Oh well at least I know I'm doing a good job. I think the dealers get tired of hearing from me, I send emails, faxes, make phone calls...:rotfl: What's that saying...The squeaky wheel gets the grease? And what's funny is that the little Ma and Pop stores I never have trouble with, it the big corporate ones that don't like to pay.

Okay, sorry for the complaing...I'm done...:)

I sold some of DBF's old sunglasses on ebay and made $121.00 on three pairs. Not too bad for stuff that's been sitting around for months.:thumbsup2 Plus I sold some old dirtbike parts. I've got $155.44 so far. My goal before December is to make enough on eBay to pay for our cruise and have some spending money. I'm hoping we can save the $15 a day parking charge by parking at DBF's cousin's house. They live like a mile from the port so even if we can park there and have to take a taxi it will save us money.

Hmm, cramps are the meaningless why am I suffering shoot me now kinda pain-- totally not needed and no gain at the end. With labor pain you KNOW it will end soon, pain with purpose with a ultimate goal at the the end.
Besides, in most labors the contractions have a definite beginning and end..not random cramping misery. Easier to breathe, work thru it and take a break in between. By the time the pains are very close together.. you don't care anymore because you will be pushing.. eagerly pushing to end the whole process!

:thumbsup2 That's true! :goodvibes
