Uggh! A day from hell! I got layed off. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I just started there 2 weeks ago, why hire someone just to lay them off two weeks later? It doesn't make sense, so I thought ok maybe they're not happy with my performance. But then she said she'll bring me back in January when things pick up again.

You should go check out the Disney tattoo thread, Corpse Bride is our resident tattoo artist and she has her own studio, I believe it's in home.

Yeah I know, spent $100 more then I wanted, but it was a much nicer mattress then Costco's and I felt like we got a good deal on it. Does that tell you how much of a markup there is on mattresses!

I like your bargaining style. I read an article about how everyone should bargain down a price.. even at the mall. However, as Americans we tend to panic and feel weird about asking for a deal so very few take advantage of it.

Talked down a cell phone company once.. thanks to a well written post on slickdeals, I had a script to follow.
E would never think to ask for a deal, "that's just weird"

Bummer, that is odd to do such a short hire... not worth the paperwork for most employers. Hopefully something else comes along soon.

Hey guys, thanks for the support. I'm not really concerned, I'll find something.
In the meantime dh and I finally set a date for our wedding, it's going to be 10/10/10! And I think we're going to get married in Aruba.

I don't know anything about Aruba other than it's below the hurricane belt so we should be safe to get married there in October.

Ugh, rough rough week.....first on Monday I had the day off of work for Labor Day. I went to the mall to look for a gift for my cousin and I went to use the bathroom. I felt horrible pain and you guessed it, I had an UTI!! It's the most painful thing in the world and it sucks to have it but I guess a lot of women tend to get this. I had to wait until Tuesday to call my doctor. She was able to see me and gave me some meds, which have helped and I feel better.

Last night, I don't know what I did but I hurt my lower back area. It hurts like heck and I looked for my Salon Pas but couldn't find it. The only thing open around here late at night is CVS Pharmacy. I drove there and just walking was causing pain, sitting caused pain. I thought I was going to cry.

I made it to the pharmacy and bought extra strength muscle and joint cream (same as Ben Gay) and also Salon Pas. I put both on when I got home and tried to sleep. When I woke up this morning, it hurt so bad getting out of bed. I went to the bathroom and my back hurt even more.

I waited until my doctor was open (8:30am) and called them. They told me they are overbooked for today. My brother was closeby because my parents are out of town and he was dropping my little sister off at school. I called him and he came to my house to pick me up and took me to Urgent Care.

The Urgent Care lobby was pretty full but the doctor saw me quickly. I only waited about 15-20 minutes. The doctor said I have inflamatory back strain and he gave me a prescrip for 2 meds to take. He said it won't affect my med for the UTI and that I need to stay home from work. I wanted to go into work today and he said no and wrote me a note to give to HR and my supervisor.

I will see how I feel tomorrow...I honestly hope I feel better. It hurt just trying to walk and even sitting hurts.


This is a really bad week for me......oh and last night there was a spider above my bed and I had to use the swiffer mop to kill it but it caused even more back pain. Dang bugs!!

Ugh, I hope I have a better end to this week and a better next couple of days. No more bad days please. I actually cried last night and just prayed that God would help me....

Ugh that sounds awful! I've heard that UTI's are extremely painful but then for you to have back strain as well? That's so crappy pix. My dad has chronic back pain, a slipped disc or something and he sits in the hot tub because it's the only thing that makes it feel slightly comfortable. Maybe that would help you?

I already have too many bridesmaids, too many because dh has no friends so there are no groomsmen to go with my bridesmaids
The resort I wanted to get married at in Aruba is being a poop. They said ALL my guests have to stay there for at least three days, problem is that it's not a cheap resort and I feel bad telling my guests you can only come if you stay here! But the other resorts all had bad reviews on trip advisor. So we're looking into Tobago and Hawaii but my heart is set on Aruba so I'm not sure what we'll do.

Congratulations! Tropical and warm.. mmmmm lovely! It will be beautiful, no matter where you end up if the resort doesn't work out. I can't remember.. my cousin got married in Aruba.. or something equally exotic. The invitation didn't have a specific number of days to stay at the resort.. chances are you will find another place just as nice.

Ouch on the UTI, been there done that. Cranberry juice (Northland brand doesn't have tons of sugar added) is your friend, vitamin C helps too.
This has been a crummy week for E and I too (illness), but hey.. it's FRIDAY! Things will get better from here, start with a clean slate on Monday.. after a nice restful weekend.

Restful weekend?? What's that?? As usual I am going camping again. The kidlets are racing and I have decided to brave the infamous bicycle wreck and wasp nest campground. We are leaving Saturday morning early when DH gets off work, the kids will have a practice day, DH will hopefully get some sleep. Then he goes to work on Saturday night, comes back Sunday morning in time for the races. Once again I'm hoping he gets a bit of sleep, but he doesn't go back to work again for 4 days. So I guess he can catch up on sleep then.

Apparently I'm a delicate little flower of a girl and DH doesn't think I can camp with the kids by myself Saturday night. So in addition to our friends that camp next to us, he is also sending his parents in their new motorhome to watch over me.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I feel better today. Yesterday I spoke with my mom on the phone and she said to have my bro drive me to their chiropractor. Apparently one of my grandma's sister's daughter's daughter (try saying that 5 times fast!) is married to this chiropractor. I never met him before.

I went down there and he said: "Your back looks awful!" He noticed that I was leaning towards the left (pain is mostly on the right). He did some massages and it actually was painful because my back was so sore. He also popped it a few times, which scared me. I felt a lot better this morning and made it into work. I am wearing a back brace under my clothes to help support my back. It feels weird like I'm wearing a girdle. He wants me to go back for more treatment after work today. The traffic is really really bad on the way to his office and also back.
