The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

:lmao::lmao:Im sure... but it makes me LAUGH! The other one I love is the one with tiny cattle.. For the tiny sirloin burgers.. I actually had them the other day, and all I could think of was the tiny cows.... :rotfl2::rotfl2: I love Jack in the box commercials.

I'll have to watch for that one, haven't seen it here yet. So have you guys cooled down drastically up there? We went from 90 to 60 in one day. Supposed to have a little drizzle this morning, but actually good weather for mx racing...not to hot and not to cold.

YES!! Thank goodness. That heat was to much. I am pretty sure that contributed to me being all psycho yesterday.. It was GROSS muggy, but chilly yesterday. :confused3 Today we will be in the 60s, and I MUCH prefer that then the 80s and 90s. Shoot... when I got up this morning it was dang cold!

:lmao:We have barely touched the ones she bought us the last time we stocked up. Geez.. I dont know what is up with Vinny. We just started him on size two diapers, but I really think he needs a three!! He is such a chunko!

It's amazing how quickly they go thru the diaper sizes. DD was like that, she was always in the 90th percentile. DS was more normal size, he was always in the 50th percentile.

Well I was going to sleep in this morning, instead I woke up at 5:30 and couldn't fall back asleep.:rotfl2:

Two of DD's friends spent the night. When they got up this morning I had the heat cranked up. One of the said "I just love your house, it's always so warm. My mom won't turn the heat on unless it's below freezing outside".:scared1: I don't care if it's going to be a 90 degree day, it gets cold here at night and the first thing I do when I get up is crank up the heat.

I know it!! I cant believe how fast he is growing. He is ahead of the curve, and teeny little Jasmine is behind.

I was hoping to sleep in too, but I woke up at 4. I told dh that would happen if we put the babies to bed to early!

:rolleyes1 I hate turning the heater on. :lmao: My kids are always whining that its cold.. Get a sweater on!! Get your blanket!! I do turn it on when it gets cold enough for it, and more so now that the babies are here... But when I was pregnant??? Poor kids practically wore snowsuits around the house. :rotfl2:

Yeah, I remember those days. Being so dog-tired and wanting to go to bed early. But knowing if you put the baby down then you were going to be up before it was light outside. Of course now I end up staying up half the night waiting for a teenager to come home...then waking up at dawn because the younger one is up with the crows.:lmao:

We were just discussing with DD how strange it was going to be when she moves out. DS is so quiet, you never know he is around. It's going to be just like having no kids at all.:lmao:

Oh and DS has now decided he wants to be a "hippie" (his words, not mine). He's been letting his hair grow long. We went to his band concert at school the other day and it was like a flashback to the 70's. I swear half the little boys looked like long-haired 1970's hippies.:lmao: So I guess I now have a drum playing throwback from the 70's long haired hippie son.

Oh lord.. I couldnt do it. I want to say I am cool enough to let Alex do whatever with his hair, and I am.. within reason. I just HATE long hair on boys/guys/men.. whatever. YUCK! Alex has really curly hair, and it would so afro on him!:lmao: Thank goodness he is happy with his summer mohawk right now. :lmao::lmao:

My name is Alison and I'm a Heataholic. If I'm home, on a typical day I bet I turn the heat and A/C thermostat up and down about 20 times a day. Of course, my internal thermostat seems to be broken...I'm roasting one minute and freezing the next. I can't imagine what my poor family goes thru, although I think they've gotten used to it. I don't think most people realize that when you have hot flashes, you also get the cold flashes afterwards. There is no other way to describe it, except my thermostat is broken and my body can go from one extreme to another in about 5 minutes.:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao:I cant handle being hot.. I might have mentioned that a time or two...:rolleyes1:lmao: So ours is never set about 65 or. No AC, but I wish we did! Or maybe I dont... I would have that puppy CRANKED! I can just imagine my electric bill. :lmao:

He's going thru that pre-puberty stage right now. You know that akward stage. He doesn't want to shower, he stinks, he wants long hair but doesn't want to brush it, teeth brushing (what's that?). Seems like I'm constantly on him to even get him to be halfway clean. EWWW!!! But I am assured by friends that this is only a temporary phenomenon....by mid-year in 6th grade he should start discovering girls and perhaps a hairbrush and bar of soap also!:rotfl:

Ugh.. I have to push Alex to shower. Hello!! Stinky boy! I never thought BO would be such a problem on a 7yo. Is that normal??

We have a heat pump, so the cost is minimal for heat or AC. Our house is completely electric and our bill runs $70-$100 a month. Not too bad for 4 people. But the heat pump only uses as much electricity as 2 night lights. I've tried turning it off and it makes no difference in our bill. I even called the PUD and they told me unless we are going to be gone for more than 12 hours in a day, it really doesn't pay to turn the heat pump off. The only time it really uses a lot of electricity is if you turn it off...then turn the heat way back up, the supplemental furnace will kick in and it uses a lot of electricity. If you just use the heat pump, it slowly heats or cools, so not much power used.

I love the A/C feature on the heat pump. We don't use it much during the day, but it's so nice at night. When we get those hot days it keeps the house so cool.:thumbsup2

Yep, boys are stinky! We had to force DS to start using underarm deodorant a couple of years ago. So I guess he was about 8 or so.

Speaking of showers, I need to go take one, get dressed and get some housework done. Then I need to run down to the grocery store and get a few things before I head out.

Have a great day and try to sneak a nap in.

I was just thinking the same thing.. I need a shower.

My grandma and I went to the Disney Outlet in Camarillo yesterday. I scored some nice t-shirts. She bought some pink Mickey printed ballet style slip-on shoes. Here's what the t-shirts look like:

I have to go back today because when we got home, I noticed that the cashier did not bag 3 of the items we had purchased. :headache::sad2: I checked the receipt and there is no phone # to call. <sigh> I'm hoping they will give me the items and am bringing the receipt.

Oh I hope you don't have any trouble getting the items you paid for pix. I like those t-shirts, dh likes the splash one.

EEK! I'm going to jump back in here after a couple of weeks away, hope nobody minds. Life got really busy with finals and such and I am getting back into stalking the Dis all day long.

Loving this one. Brings back my last trip in March and my first ever ride on SM. I was a drenched rat afterward!!

I'm really annoyed right now. I have to work overnight tonight (10PM - 630AM) and I normally get anywhere from a 20 minute to 2 hour nap beforehand and I just cannot get myself to fall asleep today. Yuck! So here I am surfing the web before I can start getting ready for work at 8. Nothing like getting to the store an hour early with nothing to do but go next door and grab some Starbucks to get me started.

Then I get to start thinking about what I need before I head to Texas for a week later this month to visit my Grandmother/best friend. The only downfall is that I HATE flying!!
