I have a few bottles of Domaine Ste. Michelle Brut for tonight and tomorrow morning's breakfast.

For us, no champagne. If we did have that kind of drink, it would be Asti Spumante, not as bitter, just a touch sweet. But I am sure I will be asleep by midnight.

I LOVE champagne. Especially Veuve Clicquot! But, I don’t think I’m going to imbibe tonight. I’m going to make a nice dinner and then tuck in early. Maybe do a cheers at 9pm here on the west coast with some San Pellegrino.

We will be having prosecco. $7.99 a bottle from Costco. (We are not the luxury & status type!) Watching grandson tonight, will probably open it sometime after he goes to bed but before midnight. Leftovers will be for mimosas tomorrow morning.

I voted other, because apparently the only sparkling wine that can be called Champagne has to be made in that region of France.
The bottle I have for tonight is labeled "California Champagne Sparkling White Wine Chamat Method". Actually, I expected it to just say Sparkling White Wine.

We will be drinking Scarletto sparkling and saying cheers at midnight (if DH can stay awake). Just the 2 of us this year. We will open the backdoor at 11:59:30 to let the old year out and opening front door at 11:59:59 to welcome in the New Year! Wishing everyone a safe and happy new year!

No champagne here. Been there; done that with champagne and partying many year ago. I'm happily and slowly cleaning from the grandkids and their cousins coming over yesterday and this morning. This Grandma and Grandpa will sip a rum and Coke and his Bud Light, play Racko, watch obviously some football and go to bed..................way before midnight, at least me!

I have a demi bottle of champagne, and the dogs & I were about to settle down with a movie but instead decided to start Palm Royal. We are on the 3rd episode of the show and the second glass. (For those keeping score, I do have coupes, flutes - stemmed & stemless, as well as white wine glasses. I'm going with stemless white wine glass tonight. As I understand it, white wine glasses are currently thought best but the truth is I could only reach this glass and didn't feel like fetching the stool for a coupe or flute. Not that I'm sophisticated enough to quite tell the difference, although I'd like to be)

Since it's just me and the dogs, we will most likely be in bed by 9 or so, same as most nights. My husband is out of town, but even if he was home it would probably be the same as we aren't much for late nights. For those that are, or are making an exception for this evening - have a fun & safe night!

The husband is a dud when it comes to going out on holidays so I'm watching Seacrest and drinking Prosecco. Will probably drink the bottle while watching and texting with friends and family. I'm having 2 buck chuck Trader Joe's this year and it's fine, tastes good. I'm hoping to make it to midnight and say cheers to myself .

Have a few more bottles for tomorrow morning when I'll make a nice brunch and do mimosas and Irish coffees and a few friends will come by to toast in the new year.

Yesterday, finished off a bottle of Laherte Frères ultraditione brut that was begun Christmas Eve. It was the last of a mixed carton that the Man and I purchased together.
Kind of the end of one era and beginning of another.
