Tuesday 11th May - Animal Kingdom & International Drive
We were awake early again, me, partly due to still not feeling 100% and by this point getting really annoyed as I just wanted whatever it was to go away and annoy someone else and not me
We grabbed some breakfast from the ASSp food court and a much needed cup of tea (even though it's not a patch in tea over here in the UK!) before heading out to the bus, wearing my newly acquired engagement ring and our Disney engagement badges and got in the queue for Animal Kingdom.
We spent a lot of time at the front of the park admiring the animal enclosures and we even managed to catch a glimpse of the Anteater, who was really shy!
We eventually made our way onto the main pathway heading down towards the Tree of Life, which never fails to amaze me as to how beautiful it is.
We walked beyond the tree of life around towards Africa to grab some fastpasses for Kilimanjaro Safari before heading into the Pangani Forest exploration trail to see the Monkeys and fish
We wandered a little further around until we found these little guys...
They were truly amazing to watch and learn about. The CM who is their keeper informed us that they constantly have one meerkat 'on guard' and the above photo shows 'the changing of the guard', it was like being back home at the palace
We continued around the trail and found the gorilla's in their hideout.
After finishing up on the trail, it was time to ride the safari, so we boarded our vehicle and set off on the trail for 'Little Red'. We saw the giraffe's and captured this baby one...before finding the bigger guy coming out from his den to see us all.
