What is this exactly? I have the song on CD and it is totally addictive, but what's in there? Is it just animatronic birds? Is it a sit down type stage show? I thin I have to check it out next time.

It is a sit-down animatronic show. It is a Disney original and I love it. If you like the music, you'll enjoy the show.

I dont remember the original, but I seem to be in the minority and love the Tiki Room. The "New Management" that it is under is Iago & Zazu. Iago cracks me up with his one liners.
As mentioned above it is a sit down show, with animatronic birds.

Just thought I'd add this tidbit. It's more of a sit down, look up show. Most of the actors/birds are suspended from the ceiling with a few moving things along the walls.

We love this, too! It broke down in the middle of the show last month, which was really weird. All of a sudden, the birds kinda drooped down and the sound went out! It is nice to sit for about 15 minutes to watch the show!

I love this one also. You can never get that old song out of your head once it is there!!!!!:hyper:

The Tiki birds are so much fun!! I love to watch the kids in the room sing and laugh at the show! They seem to love it! I know I do. Its one of my favorite things to do. Iago and Zazu are hilarious. I dont think I ever saw it before it was "under new management", but I find it really enjoyable now.

You sit on benches in a circular room. All the seats are good but we like to sit in the back rows so we can see all the corners and not miss anything.

I loved the Tiki birds. If you've never seen it I would make an effort. It is so unique to Disney.

I wouldn't say we "loved" it but we did enjoy it and will go see it whenever we are in the park!!

I love the Tiki Room too! I like to look out the windows and around the walls, it's cool. It's also a nice break from the hot sun and the show is adorable.:D

I went to disney 20 yrs ago and remember the bird sing "lets go to the TIki room, the Tiki room" is that still what he says? We went last year and skipped this...but if it is KINDA the same we might go for a little mom nostalgia! How will a 16, 15, 12 and 8 yr old enjoy this?

I love the new show and erally enjoy it at least once a trip....if you go in warm weather it is a must.....it is seat down and air conditioned.....a great rest area for a few mins...

Wow! Usually threads about this attraction go in the other direction. I was sure I was the only person who liked the Tiki birds. Glad to see there are quite a few more. :D

After making a few trips out to California and to DL, the Tiki birds there brought back memories of the original show at WDW. The original may be sappy by today's standards, but I love it anyway. They are the Tiki birds I remembered as a child. I do not like "Under New Management" for that reason. Call me a Disney traditionalist, but everyone's entitled to their opinion! :p

Another family that does the 'Tiki Room' every trip. In August we found it to be a terrific place to wait out the massive thunderstorm. We love the new version!!!

We enjoy the Tiki Birds too!!! It's a fun show, we will always go on every visit. :) And I agree that it's a nice place to sit and rest for a bit!

We love the Tiki room even though my youngest DD doesn't get all the jokes...they must be over her head...literally!! I apologize for those who see the show when we do, 'cause we like to sing along to the Tiki song!!

We also enjoy this one! Just be careful of the time you go, since it is only open to about 5pm, even though the park isn't closed:rolleyes:

The singing totem poles and flowers are still my favorite. I get nostalgic for the old show, but the new is probably more fun for kids.
