The Tag Fairy

oops sorry mtblujeans...........was guessing you didn't have to get up early.

with having teens, they NEVER get up early do they.........

my boys, 24,23,22,20 yes, and they all live at home still....... have different schedules.......work and school makes all different shifts here.

have two off at college now and two out of school and working.......
you'd think they would want to get their own place, huh...

one graduated from college and works full time but is in national guard and his unit is going overseas soon. he wil be with us to that time. sob sob...

Oh my! You have ALOT going on at your house! I think it is hard to let the kids go!! DS will be graduating from high school next year and facing college. We have told him he can stay home and take the first couple of years college at the local community college, if he would like. But he has carried a 4.0 all these years and we have to face the fact that he may be offered a full-ride scholarship that he cannot turn down and he may have to leave!

Youngest DS has an open house at the jr high today and I need to take him over there to look around. I can't believe he is in junior high school! :guilty:

Then, DD is driving up to pick up grandson this afternoon. DH has family plans for us this weekend and then the guys go back to school on Wednesday! This time of year is too hectic for me!! I can't keep up! :teeth:

Sometimes, now, if I can get to the boards, I just look around and leave 'cause I don't even have time to post. The post I would come up with would be so hurried, it might not even make sense! :rotfl:

I KNOW you will miss your son when he leaves!! Do you know how long he will be gone?

mtblujeans, you just getting up???

jk.......playing with ya

son in military will be 18 month tour.
i have cried so much i don't know where the tears will come from when he does leave.

you have had a busy morning................a lot of running around to do.

i miss my youngest who is away at college now.
it is never easy to have them far away.
but they do grow up and it would be weird if they wanted to stay home with me forever. who wants to live with mom all their life????? i didn't.

Oh, I don't know...not only are all my DS's still lurking (25, 19 & 12) but my Mother's been living with me since my Dad passed 17 years ago, and she felt she couldn't go it on her own.

My DH sez that's why I run off on vacation so much ;)

BTW, macreven - you must be very proud, godspeed to your son.

thanks for the kind words keishadow.

i am proud of my son and i love him.

but, its never easy to let an adult child to live their own life when the time comes. :grouphug:

You'll have to share DS address when he goes over seas so we can send him goodies! That is fun on our part! When DS 8th grade teacher went over, I sent him a box of nothing but potato chip bags! I figured he would think I was crazy with all the fun stuff I sent him but he was very, very grateful! :teeth:

Will your sons all come back to their hometown to settle down when they are done with their adventures?

I know what you mean....I could not get away from my parents fast enough!! :bitelip:

he will come back home at that time.

yes, getting away from my home when i was grown up , welll, i thought i was grown up was something i lived for.........lol

now, i can't stay away from them even though it is a 6 hour drive for me one way.,

Last week in August, kids are back in school, Friday night lights (football's big in our family).... no Tag Fairy sightings to report.

Unlike Oysters, perhaps the Tag Fairy is only "good" in months with r's in them. :)

and, i might add, i am still on my diet.....

No, no, not the "D" word. Personally, I've been planning one since last Feb; just haven't found the perfect plan yet.

Calling a Fairy, any Fairy, doesn't have to be the Tag Fairy!

Turns out my youngest DS does have a football injury after all...fibular sesamoid fracture of foot :confused3 . We've been thru Pediatrician, X-rays & Podiatrist - waiting to get into the Orthopedic surgeon. He's starting off with rest, PT, brace until we see the OS. Podiatrist thinks he'll need a cast (of course it will co-incide with our upcoming trip). Know in the grand scheme of things it's a blip on the radar, but still distressing...

i hope your son starts to feel better soon. maybe the trip to disney will help

well, it is now.......
