The single most over-used phrase on the Dis boards:

YMMV.

Of course it does. This is a discussion board.

I thought the rudest cut was accusing someone of being menopausal. The young 'uns that toss that one around don't realize how lucky they are that some can't reach thru the 'net and grab their little necks. :rotfl:

"That being said"

-WHICH I HATE-it is what people use nowadsys instead of
"However...."

:sad2:

I've been seeing a whole lot of "eh's" here lately. They really bug me, like "eh, I'm too cool and easy-going to care about this issue" (but I'm here posting about it anyway).

Pass the Rum........oh, wait, that's just Grumpy Pirate's most over-used phrase.

I do know the most common question.

It is the one that starts off with "I have a ticket with 'x' days on it, but I only intend to go to the Parks for 'x-y' days" and then goes on to ask if they can use the 'unused' days to enter more than one park in a day.

OT. This is the community board-topics are supposed to be about anything. How can something be off topic?

Strollers..... what is the big deal? It's a stroller. Go to the store, stuff your kid in a bunch of them, push them around, buy the one you like. It's not brain surgery! ... and if you think your kid might be too old for a stroller (s)he probably is.

Kiddo(s) ... really? you can't just say kid(s)? It IS less typing.

Binky.... it's a pacifier! "binky" isn't cute unless a 2 year old is saying it.

Gifted... I have got to agree with the rest... all the kids on the Dis must be from Lake Wobegone.

Hidden Disability.... unfortunately some people ARE just lazy or rude, and some kids ARE just brats.

Meltdown.... it's a temper tantrum, pure and simple.

I was pushing my gifted 12 year old kiddo in his Maclaren stroller because he has a hidden disability that causes him to be unwilling to walk when he would rather ride. He had his binky in his mouth and I hit a bump and it flew out. He had a meltdown because I ran over the binky with the stroller. A menopausal women commented that my kiddo was way to big to be in the stroller and have a binky to boot. She was very passive-agressive. I told her that the binky issue was not a hill I was willing to die on, and that I had to go because I was going to be late for my brekky ressie. Sorry for the vent (long). Wwyd?

"This" and "ditto" as agreements to quoted posts (and I've used them both myself :umbrella: ).
"D" anything - just use the word: my friend, my fiancé, niece, nephew, mom, husband...
FireDancer is awesome. Oh, wait, no. That one isn't used nearly enough.

"entitled much"

:rolleyes1

"Ladies" hate the term and won't open a thread if it is in the title. Really ? Do you call other women Ladies ?

Yep I do, DD cheer coach says ok ladies, lets stretch, or pay attention.

When I am with my friends I will say call them ladies, as in Well ladies it was fun, I have to go.

I don't think ok women, let's stretch, or Ok, women, I had a great time, but it is time for me to go, or good seeing you women. That doesn't make any kind os sense.

The men may say, would you ladies like a drink. Not would you women like a drink. That sounds really dumb.

I have one, although I don't think it is used here. "going viral" in relation to you tube. I hate that. I am sure it will be used here soon.

The phase "I would never...."

The need to tell us the make and model of your super duper stroller.
