The single most over-used phrase on the Dis boards:

"Am I crazy if I _____________?"

"Is ___________ worth it?" (fill in the blanks)

"Free dinning" It's dining, not dinning!

I was pushing my gifted 12 year old kiddo in his Maclaren stroller because he has a hidden disability that causes him to be unwilling to walk when he would rather ride. He had his binky in his mouth and I hit a bump and it flew out. He had a meltdown because I ran over the binky with the stroller. A menopausal women commented that my kiddo was way to big to be in the stroller and have a binky to boot. She was very passive-agressive. I told her that the binky issue was not a hill I was willing to die on, and that I had to go because I was going to be late for my brekky ressie. Sorry for the vent (long). Wwyd?

thank you for that laugh!! :lmao::lmao::lmao:

"Snowflake" - I've never heard that word used in real life

"I'm putting on my flame suit" - that's not a thing!

Oh, and after the past few days, I'll be happy if I never hear the word "rapture" again...

The one I get tired of is "I'm going to call the cops" or "call the principal" or "call the superintendent." From the way it looks on here, about 95% of the time I think to myself that the cops, principals, and superintendents have a lot better things to do with their time than to worry about some of the petty stuff I see posters on here get their panties in a wad about. The other 5% of the time, I think to myself "why in the heck haven't you called the cops, principal, or superintendent about this?!" :rotfl2:

I would bet that those people already DID call the cops/principal/super, etc. and were told that whatever they think was a violation, ect. really was not!:lmao:

so they post on the DIS to bolster their point of view. even if they were in the wrong in the first place.;)

"This" and "ditto" as agreements to quoted posts (and I've used them both myself :umbrella: ).
"D" anything - just use the word: my friend, my fiancé, niece, nephew, mom, husband...
FireDancer is awesome. Oh, wait, no. That one isn't used nearly enough.

Amen! :worship:

You all misunderstood :lmao:

I was not asking your opinion as to what the most over used phrase was. I was telling you. :rotfl2:

"

"I'm putting on my flame suit" - that's not a thing!

.

YEs! "flamesuit"! I've only heard that term on the DIS, and it is definitely used way too often.

Half the time people put their "flame suit" on, it isn't even about a controversial topic. For example, "I HATE humid weather. I know not everyone agrees with me on this. Here I go, putting on my FLAME SUIT"!

"I don't mean to be rude, but..." , which is often followed by something that is indeed kinda rude. :lmao:

Everyone here has a kid who is gifted. Or on the sprectum. Or gifted and on the spectrum.

I think you all are just going out of your way to be passive-aggressive. I clearly said this is about me and what I think. Your opinions were not asked for. I am being aggressive, nothing passive about it.

:lmao:
