Glynis said:Ooo, pasta recipe, please!!!
theycallmered said:It's a Kraft recipe. I found it to be very rich and more of a sidedish rather than a main dish, but it is very good nonetheless. And it's not very pumpkiny at all. It's very much an undertone to the cheesiness/creaminess. (Am I just making up words here??)
1 pkg. (16 oz.) penne pasta, uncooked
1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1/2 cup KRAFT 100% Grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
Ground nutmeg to taste
COOK pasta as directed on package.
MEANWHILE, place cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, butter and milk in large saucepan; cook on low heat until cream cheese is melted, stirring frequently. Add pumpkin and spices; cook until heated through, stirring occasionally.
ADD pasta; toss lightly. Serve topped with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.

Oh this looks so good! I'm looking for some pasta sides as an alternative to mashed potatoes. This one should go well with pork and turkey.
I don't know what I am having for a main dish tonight, but I am serving it with your pasta dish.
