Ya'll are having waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much fun over here!

Tonight dh had left over Velvet Shrimp and I had a fried egg sandwich. But, for dessert we had Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar. I recently saw this recipe in a magazine. They made it in a bigger batch but basically all you do is:

Cut up some strawberries and put them in individual bowls
sprinkle each bowl with 1 tsp sugar &
drizzle each bowl with 1 tsp balsamic vinegar

FANTASTIC!!! REALLY!

Okay- I give up! Between the Magic Shell Model and the freezer I can't remember anything I was going to say . Ladies I am having dinner, I can't remember what.....I keep seeing magic shell and pink trout



Note to self- Lori says to keep plenty of ice cream on hand..........................

Nancy I am not a chef or anything... but i would not recommend Magic Shell and pink trout, but thats just me. What the heck do I know.

Well Glynis. my boys are very happy after eating the pizza meatloaf muffins...I kinda added and omitted some stuff to make them low carb but they were excellent...I found a really great pizza sauce too that is low carb. Thanks!

Well, here are the invites (hope they live up to the hype)...hopefully I will post them right since I am a pic posting newbie!!!

Glynis, A 6 1/2 pound trout would make any fisherman around here very happy! Pink, like salmon? Not that I want to give you anymore reasons to not eat it, but our speckled trout is a very white and mild tasting fish, not pink at all.

It really was a good looking fish. I'll have to see if I can upload a picture so you can see it. Hopefully, because it's pink, it won't taste like the white-fleshed trout I've had before. I'll let you know in just a little while.

Just walked to A&P- grill food- steak, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes, mushrooms. Everything goes on the grill in foil, no clean up!

Lauren- I love your invitations! They are lovely, and fit in so well with the rest of your motif. The flowers will be beautiful and I can't wait to see more.

Tonight we had kielbasa, steamed broccoli, the rest of the baked beans and potato salad, and a green salad. dessert is the rest of the lemon cake or ice cream.

Tomorrow is Erica's birthday so I need to make a nice dinner and a cake for her.

We had a really good dinner tonight. Extremely spicy, but really tasty. The recipe is called Szechuan Spicy Noodles with Carrot Cucumber Relish. It was in this month's Cooking Light. If anyone is interested I can post the recipe!
