Does anyone know if Swan and Dolphin will move my luggage to the contemporary for me? I really want to stay here but With both of us bound to ecvs - moving luggage is an issue.

Absolutely! Works same as WDW, it’s handled by Bell Services. They’ll even pick your bags up at your room.

Unsolicited note on ECVs and Swolphin- no ECVs allowed in the hallways. You can store them in your room or drop them off with Bell Services for free storage and charging whenever you return to the hotel.

@katmigordon yes they will, they can move to any Disney resort. You'll need to bring your bad to bell services and they will take it from there. Generally the bags won't be available until closer to 5PM if I recall. I would suggest downloading the Swan/Dolphin mobile app, from there you can use the Text Us option and ask when you need to your bags to bell services to have the moved. Bell services can pick up your luggage from your room, though it is a tipped option.

Don’t bother texting or calling with questions about this, if you have a q go directly to the bell desk and ask in person. I called the customer service line from the room a couple years ago and asked about luggage transfer to a WDW hotel and they told me they definitely didn’t do that. Walked my bag down to bell services and the bellman took it no issues.

Was able to book Swan Reserve next month with a 30% D23 discount, pretty sweet!

@nanoburd I don't think there are added benefits. Marriott/Bonvoy is usually more based on points levels. Just staying at S/D gets you Extended Evening Theme Park Hours or early entry as a Deluxe Resort Guest.

@nanoburd to add to what @SteveH said, if you’re looking for a club level/executive lounge type perk that can be associated with suite bookings elsewhere, none of the 3 Swolphin hotels offer club/executive lounges.

Back before COVID, staying in a suite classification at the Swan or Dolphin included Disney Signature Services access. Not anymore.

Ah, yeah. Someone said a few years ago they were able to use FNCs towards the 4 nights for the free night. None of us have been able to do that so we were digging for any recent DPs (it's not supposed to be a thing and indeed there were no recent DPs). The buy 4 get 5th night free on points is, and has been, good to go. Congrats on your free night!

Dolphin's Bourbon Steak opens tomorrow!! Before I scrolled through the text, the first thing that I really noticed was how light and airy it looks compared to Shula's Looks like a great place to try and maybe return to.

It actually soft opened a couple of days ago, I saw it mentioned on DFB. Really excited to try it out, I booked it on OpenTable a few weeks ago.

Thought about renting a car until I realized they charge $36 a night or maybe like $40 with tax. Pretty insane pricing, definitely considering just ubering and walking everywhere.

Just finished reading an article on Hertz’s AI scanners and unless I specifically need a car forget it. The risk is just too much, the tiniest of scratches that might not even be my fault- nope. Rideshare is the way! (Article) I have no doubt the other companies will follow suit in short order.

Orlando is GREAT for rideshare availability. I tend towards comfort type options if the ride will be over 15 mins to up my chances of an experienced driver.

Honestly if I was staying anywhere else on property I still would rent. I have insurance through my provider for rentals. Last time I rented it was like $200 for 4 days, and the ability to drive around the resort and go anywhere does feel very nice.

I usually request Minnie vans at WDW since I’ve had bad experiences with Uber and Lyft for the normal drivers. Minnie van premiums are a lot but the service is by far the best I’ve had anywhere and the people know where they’re going.
