"The Official 'True Blood' Vampire Thread" ...spoilers included.

I just started watching it today as I have been busy lately, but I must say one of the best shows that I have seen on HBO. I thought it was completely Bad @$$ in the first episode when the dude in the store that pretended to be a vampire had an F'n Venom (the band) necklace on that sold the show for me, not to mention Jason was wearing an Alabama Thuderpussy shirt in the second episode Southern Metal rules!!!!. But that is because I f'n love true metal but besides that it is a great show can't wait to see the rest.

Hey Metal! Seems like we both have a love for metal music AND vampires! It must be in our metal blood :thumbsup2

So THAT'S what the t-shirt said! I couldn't figure it out by the way it was written. Plus, I'm completely out of the loop on music since I listen mostly to talk radio when I'm in the car.

It is ok even if you were "in the loop" as you say with music unless you are into metal you probably wouldn't have known who they are. Not a bad band at all if you are interested in checking them out check out something off of their newest album "Open Fire" such as the songs "Void of Humanity" or "None Shall Return". I am sure there are videos out there...As I said before any ahow that gives props to such metal legends as Venom and such BA Southern Metalers such as Alabama Thuderpussy garners major respect from me, plus the show is awesome I love it.

Speaking of music, I can't get the theme song out of my head. I especially like when the young boy has berries all over his face and the song says, "I wanna do bad things with you."

I JUST started watching this show...my DH was away recently and I couldn't sleep.
I was poking around the On-Demand stuff for HBO and thought it sounded interesting.
I watched ALL of them in ONE night and now I'm current...This show is awesome!

I'm still debating on whether or not to get the books as not to ruin anything...
BTW: I'm loving the white writing...it's cracking me up! :lmao:

:lmao:

I would only choose DH, and people that made me laugh all the time- My best friend, my one cousin (but she is afraid of Halloween, not sure how she would take being biten:lmao: ) my 2 SILs- I think I prefer a small crowd of the undead. :lmao:

DH would be the only male- I think he would be happy with that!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

I would bite DH, 2 of my friends, and my friend M who would literally hunt me down and kill me if I didn't bite him

So, no comments on Sunday night?

I knew the sex between Bill and Sookie was going to be hot! I was right!

I don't recall Sookie getting up to say anything at Gran's funeral, but I liked how they worked it into the show. I don't like where they've taken Jason at all. He was just as sex crazed in the book and just as stupid, but the ways in which he was stupid were more plausible.

I was surprised Sookie let him bite her. I thought she was going to remain a civilian and try to help the cause of the vampires.:confused3

Does anyone else think we might see grandma return? I thought the civil war era vamp who bit Bill bore an odd resemblance to the grandmother.

BTW, Sookie should now be known as "Suck-ee";)

For some reason it did not surprise me- I guess she got "caught up in the moment":thumbsup2

How weird would it be that Bill "knew" Sookie AND her grandmother- ewwwwwwwww!

To those of you who read the book, So, now what happens to Sookie? Is she NOW a full fledged Vampire?:confused3

I also vote that the thread be changed to the Official True Blood thread- so we are......official!:dance3:

I agree! Jason is becoming a caricature rather than a character. He wasn't some drug crazed idiot in the book.

I'm starting to wonder if I should continue to read the books. I keep comparing the show to the book, wondering if certain things are from later books I haven't read, or just made up for the show. Plus, it does make it a bit less suspenseful when you already know who dunnit.

They didn't explain it well in the show, but in the book the only way to be turned is for the vamp to fully drain you to the point of death then make you drink up their blood (I think drain, but not sure.)

Didn't Mystery Machine start the thread? I think only they or a mod can make us official.

Yes MM started the thread- she will need to change it.

I saw the previews for next week's show and they show Sookie with the bite marks, but she looked "healthy"- no pale complextion. Maybe she is like all the other "vamp tramps" and will just have a mark for now.:confused3

In the books, vampires can just take a "sip" without draining their sexual partners (or blood donors.) The human doesn't become a vampire unless they're drained and then fill up on vampire blood. ;) Being bitten multiple times by the same vampire forms a bond between the human and the vampire. Also, when a human drinks vampire blood (like Sookie did from Bill after she was beaten), the human gains strength and becomes more beautiful--more so the older the vampire from whom they drink is and the effect wears off after a couple of months.

I liked the last episode but found it a tad dull.

Great scene with Sookie eating the Last Pie her Grandmom made, and crying as she ate it....:guilty: I loved the part, where the Kicked all the "moochers" out of the house!:woohoo:

Thanks for the explanation! I always wonder just how far the bite has to go before someone becomes a vampire- so this was just a little "love bite";)

I hate Pecan Pie- it was making me nauseous when she kept eating it :scared: :lmao: :rotfl2: It looked too creamy or something.

All I was thinking was, if I had to eat all the pie- I would have tossed my cookies (or pie, if you will:laughing: )

Yes- Tara was funny when she chased them all out of the house.

In the book, she tries to hide the bite marks. Evidently she wears them as a badge of honor in the show. :confused3

Ugh! That pie didn't look appetizing even if you DO like pecan pie...:crazy2:
The only thing I kept thinking about the pie was that it was already days old and that's why the sugar had crystalized like that. It didn't look good, but she was eating the last thing her Gran left that she had made.
