Jason, Jason, Jason. The story just keeps getting weirder and weirder. I definitely liked Pam's glamouring of Jason.
I also liked Eric telling the fangbanger that she could take his picture... "but I didn't tell you that you could keep it."
Readers, wasn't Eric always in a booth when he wasn't in his office? I can't recall that he ever had a thrown in the books, though, the thrown fits and adds to his aloof personality.
I can't remember from the book, either, how the fire is resolved, though I do remember it occurring in the book. If someone wants to PM me about that, I'd appreciate it.
Hi.. Room for 1 more?![]()
DH & I BOTH love this show.. and DH & I normally Never agree on ANY TV show..![]()
I have not read all the posts yet, just wanted to say Hello and I will be reading posts in a few..
I only really liked Jason from the books for the brief period during and after he was in Hot Shot for the first time. He's just an unappealing character, though the actor who plays him isn't hard on the eyes.Absolutely room for more folks on here! Welcome!
I watched the show this morning and I agree with you, RUDisney, when you say, "Jason, Jason, Jason."He annoys me even more on the show than he did in the books.
Loved another glimpse of Eric. I am just dying to see Pam in her "non-working" clothes.

I keep getting Jason confused with Sam. They look too much alike with the dirty blonde hair and the scruffy, semi-beard.I only really liked Jason from the books for the brief period during and after he was in Hot Shot for the first time. And Bill, or Stephen, well, he is now my fantasy guy. I also read that he and Sookie are dating in real life.

That's not hard to understand after that first scene this week. I'm not used to watching original series stuff on HBO. Wow! What I've been missing!![]()

I only hope they don't break up and it becomes a Jennifer Garner/Michael Vartan situation where after they broke up, she was practically frozen with him, even on screen, and all the hot chemistry was gone. You could tell she didn't want him touching her. Vartan always looked so pained at the end, mooning over her. And as producer, Garner had Vartan written out of the show, until it became apparent the show had tanked.Between that and her getting pregnant, that ended the series.

That's a very dangerous thing to admit on the Dis.Yeah, their private lives tend to change my opinion of them as actors.![]()

Interesting about Sookie and Bill. They seemed to be very comfortable being nekkid together.
Me too! I went through the same thing. I lost a lot of respect for her when she had Vartan written out of the show. By then, she was seeing Affleck & seemed to become all Hollywood, becoming a Hollywood couple. That is a problem with actors dating each other on a series. I loved the chemistry between Garner and Vartan at the beginning. Then it just became awkward and heartbreaking to watch him. I lost interest in the show because of it and stopped liking her much as an actress. Now I like her after seeing what a nice, normal mom she is. Yeah, their private lives tend to change my opinion of them as actors.![]()

I bought the first book, but it's probably not anything I'll stick with.
And ya'll can shoot me if you want, but I kind of like Tara.![]()

That's because the show is focusing on a lot of things that were never in the book. The central storyline is about Sookie and her relationship with Bill and the fact that she's a telepath and there are several murders in Bon Temps that can be attributed to either Bill or her brother. Aside from that, the rest is just fluff for the screen. On a different note, I haven't read the books, so maybe it's different in them, but this show seems all over the place to me. I really enjoy it, don't get me wrong. But sometimes, I'm just like, 'what is going on?!' I'm lost on the central plot at this point. I think I'm focusing on the wrong things.
