The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

In honor of the final ep of GG, I've ordered a huge amount of Chinese food, purchased HoHos, and have leftover pizza as well. I figure that disgusting combo would do the Girls proud! :rotfl:

Only 40 more minutes!

I am going to miss this show a lot!!!

I wish I had thought to have a "GG's" dinner during the finale.

:sad1: Well that's it.

I liked everything about the finale except I didn't get enough of Luke. They could have made it an hour and a half and added on to the Luke reconciliation storyline.

I feel like I've just lost a good friend. It was a great run while it lasted.

I'm actually really happy with how it ended (not THAT it ended, but how). So often, the WB/CW shows have crappy finales. This one didn't seem contrived for once.

I'm glad for the Luke and Lorelai kiss, although it wasn't exactly a surprise. It's like Ross and Rachel.... you just know they'll end up together.

It is interesting though that they kept saying they weren't sure if it was going to be the finale or not after they shot it.... it definitely felt like a finale show!

:sad2: :sad1: I'm going to miss them. I only caught the last 20 minutes. I hope they replay it so I can see the whole show. Tuesday's will never be the same.

I can't believe it's really over :(

I've been watching GG since day one! They really felt like...a part of my family. As silly as that may sound. I related to Rory so much and the storylines were always so real and relateable. I just loved it so much and I'm sad to see it come to an end. But it's been a great seven years hasn't it?

If it had to end, I'm glad this was the way they did it. With Rory living her dream, Lorelai doing well with the Inn, Lane and Zack happy with their blossoming family, Lorelai and her parents on good terms, and THANK GOD, Lorelai and Luke together again.

I think every now and then my imagination will allow me to think of all the funny and great things happening in the world of Gilmore even though it's not on anymore. Of course, in my imagination, somewhere down the line Rory and Jess are reunited, their timing is finally right, and they can finally live happily ever after with a nice dose of snark and dysfunction thrown in for good measure! ;)

Okay, it was good. It didn't exactly rock, but it was good. The last 10 minutes were the best. I loved the whole Em/Lor/Richard storyline.

The best LOL moment for me was:

"I fashioned it out of one of my mother's nighties."

"Ew."

:rotfl:

I recorded it, so when I'm revisiting the pork fried rice and pepperoni pizza at 3am, I can watch it again. :rotfl: HoHo, anyone? :)

Good night everyone; see you back here tomorrow for everyone's final thoughts. :)

You have me right with you EXCEPT I'm a Logan fan.

Me too!!

Jess was always my favorite for Rory.

I am so gonna miss this show.

I've got season 1 on DVD....maybe I'll watch that on Tuesdays from now on...and then season 2...and so on and so on:rotfl:

You know, it's funny. I liked Logan, I really did. I just didn't think that he was good enough to spend forever with Rory. Dean was her first love, Logan taught her how to let loose and have a good time, but no one inspired her or challenged her like Jess did. JMO of course ;)

Great minds think alike :thumbsup2

I can't wait to have all 7 seasons on DVD so I can spend like, a week straight just watching nothing but Gilmore Girls :teeth:

I personally went thru this exact thing 3 months ago- New grad DS sent out 40 resumes & got one immediate , very positive response...sent his portfolio and presto -he had a 6 month design Internship 1500 miles away.:sad1:

I keep telling myself, like Loralie...its what he worked for...so I'm happy for him.:)
