The Official Gilmore Girls Thread

I looked on amazon.com and they only had season 2...where did you get season 1??? (Thanks)

My brother gave it to me for my birthday a couple of years ago.:)

I  when Richard was trying to tell Lorelei what an amazing job she did with Rory.

And a standing ovation to Lauren Graham once again for being able to convey more with her looks and facial expressions than any classic, zany, Lorelei line.:)

Can someone explain to me why she never got an Emmy?!?:confused3

Richard was wonderful tonight. He was very proud of his daughter for one of just a few times.

Lauren would have an emmy if the show was not buried on the WB but rather been picked up by ABC, NBC or CBS.

OK, so I'm way behind on all of my TiVo viewing, so I just sat and watched the last five episodes straight thru. Wow, do I have a headache from all the bawling I did tonight.

Loved, loved, loved the finale! I can't think of a single thing I'd change about how the storylines played out.

I just hope now Amy S-P will reveal what her last line for the show was going to be. I need to check out Michael Aussiello in the morning and see if he's got any scoop.

OK, who else cried?

That's probably one of the few times I cried during a TV show. I thought it was well done considering they didn't have much time to put it together.

I liked how the series came full circle with Rory and Lorelai in Luke's Diner during the fade out. That was exactly how the first episode ended.

My Tuesday nights will never be the same. . .

I loved it. Cried through the whole thing (well practically) Just loved that Christina Amapour actually made an appearance on little ol' GG with all of the things going on in the world. How cool was that?!

I have to agree with everyone Tues just aren't going to be the same. Such a great show.

I still love Dean. (hiding behind my 1st season of GG!) lol I was mad at Logan for being so selfish. Proposing on her graduation day. What a dope!

Oh, I know Sam's club and Walmart had seasons 1-4 for 14.99. That was a few months ago but you never know.

oh my goodness I can't believe I am just now finding this thread! oh my goodness tonight was soooo sad!! my mom and I both cried through practically the whole thing!!

I cried through most of the episode too, especially when Rory told Lorelai that she'd already given her everything she needed:sad1:

Also, I was SO glad that the final episode was all about Lorelai and Rory instead of all about Lorelai and Luke.

What are we going to do without this thread? I say we still get together on Tuesday nights and Wednesday mornings and check in with everyone

I know; I'm almost more bummed about the thread ending than the show!

Thought more about the show last night, and while it had it's moments:

"Hey Lorelai, wanna make a Maury sandwich?" :rotfl:

It just felt too...calm. Like everyone in the town took a Valium. Other than Babette and her ankles, I expected more antics. Even Sookie, the queen of hyper, was calm. I dunno; maybe it was just me.

I totally agree Mal. Thought they would be a little more spastic for lack of a better word - you know, more GG esq. Oh well. At least we got Luke & Lorelai back together!!!

Sorry, Mal!

And, I totally still say we still meet up here!

Hey! I just saw this thread for the first time. I LOVE Gilmore Girls! I thought I was the only grownup who was addicted!

I just started watching it a few months ago, renting the first six seasons on DVD from Netflix. Love it!!!

I am so glad to hear there are others out there like me. I was so sad yesterday because it was the last episode and cried while it was on. I LOVED that show. Earlier this year I felt a glimmer of hope when there was talk of another season but now it the glimmer is all gone.:sad1:

I started REWATCHING my season one dvd for like the 12th time yesterday. I have all the seasons that are out. I'm on the 3rd episode again. I started in anticipation for tonight. I am just so sad that it's over. WB will be really hurting next year for shows.

RIP Gilmore Girls.

I cried thru most of it as well. So sad it's over.

I liked how the town stood up to Taylor when they were planning the party. Glad they managed to get in one more psuedo town meeting.

I agree about the antics and maybe it they had known for sure about the fate of the show they would have done a two parter and put more of that in. They just had so much to tie up to fit more town stuff in.
