The Official Free Dining Watch 2007 Thread

14? Are there longer tickets, then? I thought the maximum package length was 10, because that is the longest ticket offered on Disney's booking site.

Hmmm... 14 nights, huh? Is there a such thing as too much time at Disney? :rotfl:

for my DH there is! He does not want to stay longer than six nights. Think he will be upset when we get there and he finds out we are staying eight??:rotfl:

ok, this maybe on here b4, I think that we all need to do something besides this for the next however many days...but here I am...I can't believe that they wouldn't extend to the end of Sept like with the bounceback program, why do they get a longer time????:confused3

:goodvibes

My hubby was really reluctant about our first Disney trip. The kids had gone about 6 months earlier with my inlaws, and while I was *very* upset that their first visit to the mouse was without me (I was maid of honor in a wedding that week so I couldn't tag along), his attitude was "Great, now we don't have to take them". Well, I wanted to take them, so we did, and now DH is the one chomping at the bit to go back, talking about buying into DVC, and generally going nuts for all things Disney. :rotfl2:

How alike we are. My hubby would do 4 nights only if it weren't for me. He doesn't know we are doing 10. I figure I will wait till we have the plane tickets to tell him. lol He is a good sport though and will just go along with it all with just a few grumbles. Last year he made me go alone and I did 13 nights. He just rolled his eyes and said I don't know what you could possibly do in 13 nights don't you get bored. As you can tell he is not a huge disney fan but goes for the food.

not for anything...but what was the purpose of the bounceback w/free dining if they are just going to offer it to everybody anyway. Wouldn't that make that promo useless to do again?:confused3

All this waiting is making me crazy. :scared: We're going to my SIL's for Easter & now I'll have to be checking the DIS on her computer & then they'll all discuss how Disney nerdy I am!!!!

The bounceback promo was availible for a wider range of days. It also gave those that booked it the availiblity to free themselves up from their computer :surfweb: instead of staying glued to it hoping for free dinining:) .

We are going on our first family trip to Disneyworld this August, and I just received an email from Disney I thought was worth mentioning...it says that a value resort for the dates I was originally planning on going(august 5-20th) would be $82 (which is what the internet shows), but, if my travel dates were flexible, if I could book for the dates between August 21 - October 3, my rate would be $66/night...I'm a little confused. Is this the email that people refer to on these boards? It's not forty percent off, but it does have the pin number and everything.

Since I found out about the free dining, we were going to change our dates to the dates with the discount. Would I be able to use both free dining and this pin # to get both discounts?

I was just wondering if anybody else received this offer...I hope it's not a substitute for free dining!! Still sort of neat to get one though after hearing everybody talk about it... I don't know whether to be excited or not! :confused3

Nope...from what I know you can not double up on deals. If you do go for the free dinning then you have to book your room at Rack rate. If I were you I'd look into it and see which deal would suite your needs best....and which one would give you the best deal in the long run.
:thumbsup2

free dinning free dinning! I am so excited about free dinning!
PIXIE DUST TO EVERYONE!
I was planning on staying the 24th to the 31st.
So I will just have to move my dates up a couple of days to get the free dinning.
Off to start packing, just kidding!:rotfl:

Pam, seriously you can start packing!!There is nothing wrong with you packing now if you want. I know as soon as I book with free dining. That is what I will do. First thing to go in our luggage. From my disney storage vacation chest. Will be our mickey mouse poncho's. My 13 yr old son hates getting wet, but every year I continue to drag him on Kali River rapids. I know bad mommy. But, eh I love that ride!! I think he secretly does too! But, seriously what is wrong with us packing now. Even though, our families probably think we have lost it. Maybe we need to start a support group DEPU. Disney's Early Packers Unite. :lmao:
I am just kidding though, to be honest. I will start packing in May, or June:rotfl: :rotfl:

:lmao: Talk about targeting individuals. I got the exact same e-mail, only my rate was $57 per night for a standard room at a value resort, good for dates 8/21 through 10/3, book by May 11. What is up with that???

Unfortunately for me, we're just getting back from WDW. We're checking out on 8/12 and there is no possible way I'd be back a month later. Believe me, if there was any way I could, I would to get free dining.

I can't help but wonder if this is an attempt to get people booked and "locked in" before an offer of free dining comes out that is better. Who knows why the mouse does what it does. :confused3

DEPU :rotfl2: That is so funny. Strange, but the older I get, the less inclined I am to pack early. I make lists like crazy, but I usually end up throwing stuff together the day before. I used to be a DEPU.

Anyone else have a feeling that today is the day???? What time do they usually announce?

Keeping my fingers crossed! I HOPE they announce today....I think i'm developing ulcers with all from all the waiting :lmao:

So where will they "announce" (the disney website?) I usally get my announcements from the DIS boards... :)

I did check the Disney Web site earlier today it was slow...thought something maybe happening.......

No, people flew to Florida and stayed a night or two tp get this bounceback program. They made even more money....:scared:

People who booked the bounce back and UK free dining had a large range of dates to deal with. They also had their pick of resorts and room views.

We're getting the left overs.:thumbsup2
:lmao:

Okay, off to work people.....<making the shooing motion>. LOL, really I'm off to work.....but I've trained my son to check every hour, so keep it clean.....hahaha. He's got instructions to call me at work if Free Dining starts booking. Crossing my fingers it's today :)
