The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

We'll be there Feb 19 thru the 26th - staying off site at the Westgate Town Center.

Hi, All!

I'm hoping someone here can help me.

My sis is thinking of coming and we would add her onto our room we already have. We have the free dining offer. How does Disney handle that when you add a person on to your reservation? Would she be able to get free dining even though she's being added after the promotion has ended? How would they charge for that 3rd adult in the room?

Also, if my bro decides to go, we would be added to my parents' room. They have the upgraded dining plan (but still during the free time, they paid the extra to upgrade). If he added to their room, would he have to get the dining plan they have? Basically, do all people in the room have to have the same dining plan, same park tickets, etc? My parents are going for 5 nights and he may only go for 3 so doesn't need the extra park days. But would he have to?

I hope this makes sense and someone can help me as we're trying to figure this out.

Thanks!

Beth

Hi Beth ~

Every person does have to be on the same exact package. You could add your brother or sister to the room reservation when they got there, but they would not be able to use ME and meals would have to be OOP unless they added on the same package. I'm pretty sure anyone added would have to pay full price at that point for the dining plan, but that part I'm not sure about.

We will be there on Valentines day. It will be our 25th Anniversary that day! :lovestruc Does Disney do anything special for Valentines? :tinker: Do the restaurants have anything special? Are there Valentines decorations around the world? Do they sell anything valentines related. At this point we have reservations at Seasons 52 for dinner because of the ratings on trip advisor. On the 15 we are going on the Wild Africa Trek. :cool1: We actually arrive in Florida on the 7th and Disney on the 11th. We leave the 18th. Any romantic suggestions free or otherwise would be great! Thank You. :flower3:

Hello fellow Febs...I have a quick question. My son will have his birthday the same week as we leave for Disney. We would like to do a little "party" (cake and such). Does Disney have anything like this?

Thanks!
C

I plan on gluing it to a piece of cardstock, double taping it to "laminate" it and then put a key ring through it and hang it off my bag :)

Our trip is NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a side note, if you see someone with a LGMH, what do you plan on doing? I'm kinda shy so I can't picture myself just walking up to a stranger to say "Hi nice mickey head" :confused3

Thank you for the ideas!
hehe, if I see someone with a LGMH I will most def. walk up to them and say "Hey fellow Diser!!" I have no problem walking up to people....my boyfriend on the other hand thinks im crazy with all of this. :sad2:

Under one month??!?! WAHOOOOOOOOO!

Hallie- we will be in MK on Thursday the 3rd, and DHS on the 4th!

Gina- HI!

Beth- Yes, what Gina said

Mguilford- that sounds awesome! I am unsure if Disney does anything special for Valentine's Day

 WAHOOOO!!!
30 DAYS - 30 DAYS - 30 DAYS - 30 DAYS - 30 DAYS
I have been saying this over and over today! I can't believe that we will be in DISNEY in 30 DAYS!
I really have to start "gathering" all the stuff to pack! Time is flying by!!!
 WAHOOOO!!!

Disney does not do anything special for Valentines Day as far as decorations...a few of the restaurants have special Valentines day menus like Narcoossee's & Victoria & Alberts...
pretty much all of the stores sell a few Valentines Day related merchandise (t-shirt, chocolates, candy, stuffed animals, etc.) You should see the merchandise out the week of. Pleasure Island used to have someone walking around selling roses not sure if they will still be doing that in DTD? or maybe at the Boardwalk?
A few romantic ideas I could throw out there would be to take the horse-drawn carriage ride around Port Orleans Riverside, it picks up right outside the foodcourt area. Take a wishes or illuminations cruise, get a couples massage at one of the spas, or just walk around the boardwalk at night, the ambience alone is romantic. :lovestruc Hope that helps!

Eeeeep!
I am so not remotely ready for our trip.
It is starting to hit me now that we are just less than a month away and I still have so much to do. :scared1:

I want January to go by fast and at the same time to slow down! :rotfl2:
Either way... I worked all through the holidays so I am sooo ready for this trip.
AKL club level, here we come! :dance3:

Ticker check! :woohoo:

I'm not as close as the rest of you are, but still putting along....

Happy New Year everyone!!!

We are officially under 40 days now. I made it a HUGE Disney weekend at our house. We watched Up on Saturday night and then Enchanted on Sunday night.

Still have family in town, so yesterday took my sister and nieces to DRL. They were troopers, as it was raining the whole time. The girls didnt seem to mind at all (they are 3 and 5). They go home on Saturday morning, and as I could not get any time off, it was yesterday or not at all.

DH is having to put up with a countdown everyday, and his comment was, your excitement gets me excited also(as long as its not 6 months out:rotfl:)

Have a great day everyone!!!

We received a trip to Disney for Christmas from my dh's grandmother. :woohoo: We have decided to go Feb 5-12. On one hand I am thrilled, but on the other hand I am FREAKING OUT. That only gives me a month to plan. Does anyone have any tips you could share??? We are staying at POP. We are hoping to surprise the kids with this trip, but I don't know if I can keep it a secret that long!

Welcome and how exciting! We are the week after. As of this past weekend, I just finalized all my ADR's there are still plenty out there to be had. :goodvibes Check with the online dining reservations on the WDW website. If you have login (and they are easy to make) they will keep track of them for you.

Good Luck keeping it from the kids! I was going to surprise DH with our trip for Christmas, but that didnt happen.
