The *Official* February 2011 Thread - Happy Dance Time...The Park Hours Are Out!

MamaJessie- I am so sorry :( Just think about how much more sweet Disney will taste when you won't have to worry!!!

MerryWeather- do you know how much the dlivery fee is for wego?

Allison, I saw your post on the POP FAQ thread and I thought of a question for anyone that can help.

How long of a ride is it from MCO to POP assuming the bus does make one stop prior to POP? How long would you plan for the ride?

Anyone know?

Thanks!

I am so pumped. My sis is able to go (along with my bro who will be staying with my parents or we'll swap around) and she's staying for 5 nights in our room, free dining, 6 day park tickets (no hoppers) for $315! And she was able to use her frequent flier miles so a Disney trip for $315 for 5 nights! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone, 35 days until Disney - woooo hoooo

as for food and snacks we usually hit Costco before we go and grab 2 cases of water ($5.00/ea) and breakfast bars ($7.00/ea) sounds funny but then put them in the suit cases on the way down. just have to make sure the suit cases are not over 50lbs.

i agree with Joy1619, lately we have been -15 degree C and this week we are supposed to get to +4 but next week -30 with snow (got to love Alberta Canada weather)

I've used Garden Grocer before too & loved them....although the past few trips, I've just been ordering water from staples and then bringing down the rest of our food. I have to have good coffee, doesn't have to be great, but can't be the nescafe crud! So I always pack a small 4 cup coffee maker, I bring breakfast bars, fruit snacks, coffee, filters, creamer & splenda. I have found that if I make room for the food on the way down, i have room for sovies on the way home. & I will admit I have left more than one coffee maker at POP when I bought too many goodies to bring home!!!:rotfl:

Does anyone know if staples will still deliver water ??? I used them in 2009, but haven't been since.

ha ha yes I'm quoting myself - I just checked Staples & they will deliver water, but there's a $9.95 delivery charge unless your order is $50. So 2 cases of water would be $20. May have to rethink....We're flying Southwest so technically I could bring an extra suitcase with no charge & just divide the waters out between 4 suitcases....that would be 6 bottles per case...wonder how much weight that would add....

now I have to figure out what to do...

We always use WeGoShop. I love them, especially how personal they are. They will also shop where ever you like. We like to shop Whole Foods, so that is pretty awesome to be able to get our groceries dropped off at our hotel room the hour we get there and we get the hard to find items we are used to. :thumbsup2

Thank you. Do you know when they charge you? Is it when they deliver or when you place your order?

After going on the GG site, it's just not worth it for us to do it (minimum $40 order) I'm just going to pack as many snacks from home as I can and take advantage of the free CS water and my snack credits.

34 days!!! :yay::yay:

Anyone else get Disney mail??

Anyone else get Disney mail??

Not yet. :guilty:

Should have it in the next few weeks. Last time we got it about two weeks before the trip, so I am expecting the same this time.

I am so excited, doing my daily countdown.

38 Days!!!

Aaarrgh! WHY did I just look at current flight prices -- WHY? When I booked our airfare, flights were SO expensive to come home on a Saturday. So I shortened our trip by 1 night to come home Friday. It killed me to lose a day because the day we're losing was to be our "wild card/free time" day in the middle of the week. Now I just looked and there are flights on Saturday that are even CHEAPER than our Friday flights! :sad2: And it's Jet Blue too which is what I had wanted (no baggage fees). Ugh. Airfare should be refundable.

Just pre-ordered out photopass CD! Our neighbours are going on Jan 25 and we are sharing :goodvibes

I'm not actually packing anything until much closer, but I am starting a detailed list :)

I feel your pain. While helping my neighbours plan their trip I found my exact flights for $800 cheaper :sad2:

We *always* fly Southwest because there is no change/cancellation fee. I have changed my flight 5 times now in the past few weeks because the prices went down and better non-stop flights came up for the same days. We are up $60 now.

I don't even care so much about the flight being cheaper, I'm just upset that I now find an affordable flight on Saturday which is what I wanted so badly.

That is really a bummer. Sorry. :(
I found an affordable flight one day later that I wanted, too, and switched to it so that I would be there on a Friday when MK is open until 11pm...then they changed the hours to 8pm closing. Ugh!
