Oh I agree wholeheartedly, he was the one who got up on stage. He was the one who slapped CR. He was the one who refused to leave. He is not innocent by any means.

I just think that post showed a different angle of what mindset he could’ve been in. This is not an action normal people take. This is an action of a man who has issues. I’m sorry for that, but it’s still inexcusable.

And I am astounded they let him stay. It just doesn’t make sense.

Who knows. People are weird.

I never paid any attention to her, I just knew they had an open marriage. Now I’m learning all the stuff she shared on her Red Table Talk and wow! I can’t believe she’s telling all this stuff to millions of people. She made Will look like a fool. No good can be gained from this over sharing and humiliation.

But CT was nasty on Twitter to strangers, not to her husband. The backlash could come, but since it wasn’t directed outward, but inward towards her husband, I’m not sure if the “Twitterverse” will start a huge backlash.

Time will tell.

She embraced her headshave days before saying she loved it! Also there is a dispute regarding her hair loss. The claim is that it's traction alopecia and is not from an autoimmune disorder. It can be devastating either way but not the same. I do know people with the disorder and I have had issues with thinning hair from coloring and extensions. No way, shape or form can I compare my experience with others. If JPS is using this for sympathy and this is a non permanent condition caused by treatments....shame on her. If it is truly an illness...I apologize for my doubts.

Probably, but it is not sure to what extent. As I searched for Will Smith on youtube, I got more stuff on the subject in my recommendations. There are now several videos on youtube (haven't watched them) about JPS toxic / narcissistic personality.

For the people who say "she says she loves her bald head", what you say on social media doesnt have to be the same in real life. I can imagine that in the privacy of their own home there were tears and frustration about the condition. That doesn't make it different to the public, as all we know is what she tells on social media, but it can make a difference in how Will reacted. That is something we will never know (hopefully as this family has shared quite enough). This still doesnt excuse the violence used, but can maybe explain the huge outburst

Hair loss sucks. I've lost all my hair from chemo while actively fighting to keep it by torturing myself with cold capping. I spent thousands of dollars to NOT be bald and I was anyway. I laugh about it. It is what it is. My hair is back but it is NOT "my" hair. It's not. It's dry, curly, limp, darker.... I get hair. I get how the joke could be considered in bad taste to some, that means nothing at all though. It's still a joke at an event where jokes are told about people, especially those in the field sitting in the front row. If you don't want to be a target of a joke, don't put all your **** out there for people to comment on.

I haven’t seen that, but she deserves it if she’s laughing. That’s twisted.

The live awards show has at least a 7 second delay. They silenced Will's vulgar word (should have blurred his mouth too) but chose to show the act of violence when they could have cut away. To make it worse, it was not acting. It was a real person being hurt, violated and humiliated.

Sounds like this could very well be part of a lawsuit. Why didn’t they block those out? Isn’t that why that feature exists in the first place? Who made the decision not to block, and why? Seems it may have been harder, had they done that, for everyone to be showing these clips ad nauseum that we‘re seeing broadcast all over the place, which surely have been disturbing to Chris Rock and harmful to his reputation.

I believe this is the gospel truth. I have long thought JPS was a toxic user. Will Smith, for whatever reason, is smitten with her and she sees him as a VEHICLE. HE gets her into events she would otherwise never be invited to, he gets her press coverage, he certainly provides a lot of money and a social media platform. In short, he is the means by which she gets so many things she’d have never gotten on her own. She uses him, and because he willingly obliges, she has zero respect for him. And he’s too blind to see it. Never mind that she consistently signals to the world that she doesn’t respect him. He’s her simp.

This is very insightful. I saw a clip yesterday which I will post here rather than explain. Look at the look on Jada’s face - she seems to be enjoying this type of attention. As we’ve seen with other clips, there’s a history there.

I agree. And I’ve been thinking the same thing, too - becoming bald during chemo was a really difficult thing to deal with and I can see why it’s a sensitive subject. But I also agree that Demi Moore‘s character in GI Jane was strong and beautiful. I also remember my own 6 yo son asking me to take my wig off so he could see what I looked like without hair, and without flinching, giggling, or missing a beat, he said, “You look beautiful, Mom“. Jada remains a strong, beautiful woman, even without hair, and I hate that she has to do it, but I admire her for having the guts to go hairless. I also respect that their daughter Willow seems to have shaved her head in support of her Mom (unless she has alopecia, too, not sure). I have a family member who’s struggled with alopecia for 30 yrs, and I know it’s been really difficult to deal with, too. As hard as my hair loss was, I was very glad it grew back.

Perhaps she is. But blaming her for Will's actions is a little much to me. 1 man made a lame joke (if that's what some feel) and another man got violent but we're going to pull the woman into it? People have agency! Chris Rock had it when deciding to adlib the joke and Will had it when he made the decision to slap someone and repeatedly scream at the top of his lungs. Will actually removed Jada's agency by reacting.

Jada has received criticism for sure. It hasn't impacted her fame or income, but she's been criticized (see above) and mocked.

I watched the clip, and it looked to me like she didn’t laugh until Chis Rock said, “Wow, Will Smith just smacked the xxxx out of me” (or something to that effect, which was pretty perfect for that situation). Still bizarre. And she appeared to have sat there the whole time Will was walking to and from hitting Chris. I was picturing myself in that situation. Knowing my husband I likely would’ve been attempting to either hold him back or jump between him and Chris. Something! She had to have known what he was about to do. Yet calm as a cucumber. Strange people.

Well, I’m not thrilled with the Smiths behavior. I don’t condone violence unless one is protecting themselves from a physical altercation. The tone deaf behavior following the “slap”was shocking. Let’s say I agree the the hashtag “#ChrisRocks.

That said, there has to be more to the Chris Rock thing than the dumb joke setting Will off. If you google Chris Rock and Jada, you will find they are work friends and spent lots of time traveling the world together on press junkets. I wonder if they had a fling and Will knows.

Maybe but it wouldn’t have been Jada’s first or last affair. Think this is more about Rock not obeying Jada’s Oscar boycott. He thought he could have his thoughts heard in a more positive way. And the the joke about her not being invited anyways. Methinks she doesn’t like being told no. But hey. Just my thoughts!
