My prediction - Will and Chris will be invited back to the Academy Awards in 10 years to present an award together, and they’ll receive a standing ovation. Lol.

You might be right, but I hope not. Will Smith has already received one standing ovation from the celebrity elite after this assault, would hate to see him get another one. Not interested in some sort of big, grand return where everyone once again bows down to King Will. Then again, since the Oscars are always desperate for ratings, I am sure someone will be trying to make this happen.

Unless either of them become sexual predators (something unforgivable) in the next 10 years, I can totally see the accolades and fanfare they’ll receive to reunite at the Oscars.

I still think the academy needs to look at the person/people who didn’t act to remove Will. From what I gather, the producer is buddy-buddy with the Smiths, and he did nothing. Will there be any repercussions for him? Granted they all claim Rock refused to press charges, but really, he was in shock! I hope this ban includes all the parties, pre-Oscar goings-on. (I think they have all sorts of pat-on-the-back dinners, pre-ceremony parties etc.). But I’d like to think some academy members won’t ever consider him for another award, but perhaps he’s put himself into the undesirable actor pool.

I am quite sure that everyone was in shock and in a 'if we pretend it didn't happen, then it didnt happen'-mode.

Hollywood is very good at ignoring reality.
