Here's a question that just popped in my head... I know from older guide books that the arcade used to be next to Roaring Forks, and that it was moved to make room for more seating. My question is, what used to be where the arcade is now?

Good Question, I believe that it use to be part of Bell Services either storage or office, but I'm not 100% sure.

I know it needs to be larger.

Hey everybody. LONG time no chat. I hope all my old friends are doing well and everyone is healthy and happy. I was wondering how many of you are going to the dismeet in July in Allentown? Anyone I know going?? I just found out last night that DH won't have to work OR be on call and we can go. I'm waiting to tell him that we can still go. So who is going?

I'll be there too! Can't wait!!!

Tig-girl,

Mary Ann, where have you been girl? I wish I could attend the DIS Meet, I was even thinking of signing up incognito to surprise Fred but couldn't swing it. Maybe next year.

Beckie! Hi there! :wave2:
Yes, I've been gone for a few months. Sometimes life just runs away with you, if you know what I mean. I'm wondering where the time went. Can't belive that it's been 8 months since I was in the world, and even worse, can't go back for a while! How have you been?

I have been doing great. Can't wait until my next trip to the Lodge so I can check-out all the new changes.

Beckie

Have a GREAT TIME at the DIS Meet.

That would make sense. I hadn't thought about offices being on the other side of the back wall of the arcade.

We are thinking about staying fot the first time at WL. We have always stayed at the Polynesian before. Is there a bus that goes directly to the TTC? Also, is the bus ride to EPCOT long?

Thanks,
dibey

They stoped the direct bus to TTC a few months ago...The Lodge now has a direct bus to the Magic Kingdom.

Disney Transport will be testing out a new route for the Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. There will be DIRECT BUS SERVICE from Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom.
The Fort Wilderness "Orange" bus that would previously head to Wilderness Lodge and onto the Transportation & Ticket Center will now only head to the Wilderness Lodge. After the Magic Kingdom clears for the night, the original route that use to go to TTC will resume.

The bus time to EPCOT depends on if the route is shared with the Grand Floridian or Ft. Wilderness Campground an average time would be 20 min.

I have a question regarding check in for the Club Level (Conceirge). I had read some posts saying that you are met down at valet and taken directly to your room. After that, at your leasure you can go and check in.

Is this correct?

We are going in July and I was just wondering the procedure. If I had a request for a specific room location, do I let them know ahead of time? Do they assign rooms before you check in?

Any info will be appreciated. :)

Make a room request on your reservation. When you walk in to the Lodge, (Ahhhhhhh.....wish I was there....) tell the valet or the front desk that you are staying club level.

Someone comes down to get you and you get whisked right to your room. A short time later, you can go to pick up your keys or in some cases they bring them right to you.

Wish I was going soon...I am in need of a vacation really bad. :)

Did you decide on your next trip yet? Oct=MNSSHP+Food & Wine: :earsboy:

You only have a few days left, enjoy your stay...You could always request a King Size Bed on the North Side of the Building (Maybe you would get lucky) I remember touring a room just like that a little over a year ago.

Just got back last night. Daisy met us at valet to welcome us. She personally took us up to the 7th floor. Then Mark took us to our room, told us to unpack and relax and then we could go check in with Daisy. Check-in went very smoothly. I believe we were already assigned our room before we got there. But it was a GREAT room. Room 7056, about half way down the corridor, from our balcony we had a view of the Castle, the monorail, Space Mountain, the Contemporary, Thunder Mountain and we could see the lake between the trees. To the right of our balcony there was some sort of pond, maybe the otter pond? We would see bunnies and ducks there every morning. :flower:

Does anyone know if the scheduled rehab for WL will include the VP or Presidential Suites on the 7th floor. I think they could use a little updating.

Thanks in advance! :sunny:
