Hope they respond to you, I'm really curious. Although, as much as I'd like to try the conceirge option... we love the Junior Suite. You'll have a blast. It makes such a huge impact if you have young kids.

The Jr Suite does not include concierge service. They are more expensive than concierge because they sleep 6.

There may be a chance that you could add on Concierge access to your room key (at an additional cost of course). However, this may have changed.

Just got back from our week at the world....3 nights at WL, followed by 4 nights at the Poly. We had a 6th floor Courtyard view Non smoking with Bunk Beds....great room. I had requested 5th floor, but our room location and view were great. Great view of pool, falls, inner courtyard, geyser, and lake. Very peaceful in the mornings. Never in room for fireworks or water parade, so can't tell you if we could see it.
Only problem was our room wasn't ready until almost 4 o'clock. We checked in at about 8:30...and off to Parks....but after a long drive from PA (straight through) we were so ready for showers or the pool or a nap....that waiting that extra hour just about did us in......My family was sprawled out on the couches in the lobby from about 3 on...since bell services had our luggage, we couldn't really do anything but wait. But, the pool was nice once we got ourselves organized.
Had a great breakfast at WCC on my birthday....and yes, I did have to ride the stick pony around the dining room singing :rolleyes1 happy birthday to myself....and I did ask for ketchup, cuz I needed it for my scrambled eggs....great fun!!! :bounce:

THANKS FOR SHARING CAROLB!!!

anyone hear anything new about the club level or the new lounge area??? just wondering.

Here is the real deal answer to your question:

Fred, the official answer is "no", the guest cannot book a Junior Suite with concierge access. This subject might be re-visited in 2006. The guest may inquire at check-in here in the resort. If the Club Level floor is not sold out, we might be able to service the guest's Junior Suite, but asking at the resort, will not guarantee a "Yes" answer (cost is calculated by the number of party members in the room if the answer to access is "yes").

I was reading back a few pages & have a questions regarding Disney transportation . . . if you want to leave MK and go to EPCOT, can you take the monorail directly or do you have to switch at the TTC? If so are you better off going that route or taking a bus?

Also, we are staying (in 5 days) at WL. We made PS for lunch at the GF, would our best bet be to take the fairy over the CR and monorail to GF? Or, are we in the same situation where we will need to change monorails to get to GF?
Thanks for all the great info! I'm learning so much for our trip.

Amy

From WL you can also take the boat to MK and then transfer to the GF resort boat. This (IMO) may be a more "direct" route. The walk between boat docks will be shorter than the walk from CR dock to the monorail platform. And, if I remember correctly the monorail will stop at the Poly (and TTC?) before arriving at GF.

Monorail does stop at TTC and Poly before arriving at GF. I agree about your more direct route, julybride.

Wow, I love this board. Great advice and fast! :cheer2:

This question may be a silly one  but, my kids DS3 & DD6 eat microwave popcorn as an evening snack all the time . . . are there any microwaves accessible to guests at WL?

Thanks again! Amy

There is a microwave in the counter service restaurant Roaring Forks that you can use.....saw people using it for popcorn and for soup while I was there last week.

I just booked WL (2 rooms) for our 10th annual Family Christmas Trip. It is one of the few WDW resorts we have not ever stayed in before. We have eaten there many times and always visit on the December trips. Meanwhile I am wading through all 98 pages of this thread and then will head on over to the other four FAQs threads too. PHEW!

You all are wonderful! I have been to WDW more than 30 times and I am savvy enough to know there WILL be questions. Can't wait to pick your brains (when I know what I need to find out) :wave2:

Thanks for the welcome, Beckie! And I will ask :teeth:

We have booked 2 standard view rooms for our stay. Our daughters are 27 and 19, so we don't have to have connecting rooms, obviously! :rotfl:

I have made no requests of CRO yet as I was trying to decipher what constituted standard view at WL.. After going through (and loving it) the 150+ pages of WL FAQs in its various incarnations I think I have it straight... maybe... :teeth:

Somewhere I read a suggestion that said to request a woods view facing the MK. That would not be a standard room, correct? Although I do believe that is what the OP had asked for. Is it a request that is still valid, even if it is not actually for a standard room? I believe in only asking for something that is appropriate for what I have booked, if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance for your help. After reading these FAQs I feel as if I already know you all!

Elin

Some of the standard rooms balconys face toward the Magic Kingdom so you never know, you could increase your odds by requesting North Side of the Lodge...:confused3...couldn't hurt and you can always dream of an upgrade.

:wizard: PIXIE DUST being sent for your TRIP :wizard:

Upgrades are always nice, but when you have two rooms booked I would think it becomes more difficult for the CM checking you in to work that PixieDustMagic. :wizard: But, we will request North Side of the Lodge facing the MK on both reservations and take what we are given and be delighted. We always are!

Thanks again for your response, Beckie.

Elin

Actually I have been upgraded several times with two rooms booked. Soooooo ya never know.

Does anyone know if the WL has a computer center where I could upload pics from my digital camera if I need to?
