Yes....."adult beverages" as you say can be purchased at the store just off the lobby.

Thanks Roanld Duck for the room number map. I called Disney CR and WL and no-one would send me a map with room numbers on it. This is great.

Disney doesn't give out published information about room #'s or room locations for security reasons. CRO doesn't like request for nor could they honor specific room request. Thats why we try and give areas (Northwing overlooking otter pond ect.) not room #'s. If you check-in early and your room isn't ready they won't even give you the #.

Thanks that's great! Does anyone know which part of the lodge the honeymoon suites are in. The map shows Jr. suites and I wasn't sure if those were the same thing. Thanks.

I was just looking at the map of the WL and have a question. We have 4 standard view rooms booked for Dec. and I wanted them on the main floor so my MIL wont have to navigate steps or an elevator. The map says standard view is on floors 2 and up. Is that 2nd floor the main lobby level floor, or will we have to go up another level? I told CRO when booking that I needed the main level and they didnt say anything about standard being on the 2nd floor. Thanks for the help. My MIL has limited vision and we were trying to keep her on the ground floor.

Although it's my map, I'm not an expert...BUT I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that you should be on the same floor as the lobby if they give you Standard rooms on floor 2, North Wing.

Can anybody confirm this?

One year we were on the first floor and had to take an elevator down from the lobby so I think you are correct. The lobby is off the second floor.

Attention Everyone:
On Ronald Duck's diagram (map) the floor that is depicted would be the 4th, 5th and most of the 6th floor.

The main floor (lobby) is in fact the 2nd floor:
1.) There are no standard rooms located on the 2nd or 1st floor. (ground level)
2.) There are no Lobby Rooms on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floors
3.) There are no Jr Suites located at the end of the wings on the 6th floor, but there are Jr. Suites located half way down the hall in the Southwing on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floor.

Remember Ronalds Map is an overview of the Lodge with the bulk of the rooms listed. Due to the architectural design of the Lodge the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th Floors have differing floor plans.

The Honeymoon Suits are located on the 7th floor, Concierge Level, Lobby Rooms there are 4 suits. Two of the suits are located 4 floors above the WCC on North side of the Lodge. The other two would be 4 floors above the Check-In Reservation area on the South side of the Lodge. All four suits have King size beds and top end bath area, (Jacuzzi tub)

Well I don't want to upset you but, what you have booked is 4 Standard View Rooms. Everything else you have posted would be a request. The room assigners will try too meet as many of your request that they can. However your request are not available in a Standard View Room. Sounds like you need a Woods or Courthyard View Southwing Main floor. If you leave your reservations as they are I'm not sure what your going to receive, they may give you an upgrade on one or all of your rooms or meet your Standard View Room the best they can.

STANDARD ROOMS: All Non-Smoking rooms with 2 Queen Beds.
Located on Floors 4,5 & 6. On the North(MK) side, they face the service area. There are also 4th floor rooms that overlook the lobby and look out to roof peaks. Lobby rooms do have balconies.

Sorry, this isn't just a Wilderness Lodge practices. None of the Resorts at WDW will give you your room # until it is ready for use. They will give you your resort keys with a small card with a telephone # to call later during the day for the room # assignment. The front desk Cast Member may give you a general hint as to where your room is located. (Just not specifics)

We have 2 woodsview rooms booked for our upcoming trip, hopefully connecting, which I know is just a request. Is this usually a busy time at the lodge? (9/30-10/6).

When we stayed in 2004, we were in room 5022. We had a view of the castle. We really enjoyed this view, therefore we booked woodsview again. I noticed on the first page there are some woodsview that are lobby rooms. Can someone explain this to me? I'm wondering if I need to call and request north wing. Also, what would be your other view if in south wing?

When I went back in 2003 I booked a woodsview and it turned out to be a lobby room. The view overlooked the villas and the roof of the bus walkway. We were on the 5th floor as well. I have also requested 2 woodsview rooms connecting for our up coming Aug. trip but this time I did request northwing.

Footnote: Last time was when everyone was faxing request to the room assigner 5 days before. I did ask for north wing then but didn't get it. I know faxing is not done anymore.

Unfortunately but also fortunately, due to the Hurricanes and loss of many trees over the last few years more NorthWing Wood View rooms now have a better view of both the Castle and portions of the Lake (ie the waterway between the Lodge and the CR)
